i got a call from LLC 3rd Court street, Aurburn City, New York. But when i verified all the calls are coming from india. I have also reported to FBI

this all calls are coming form india. I heard the background guy who was speaking in hindi. This is the local langauge in india. please fill an lawsuit against them.

I receive atleast 5 calls daily at work from a man who claims his name is Harry Wilson who has a HEAVY Indian accent. He states that he is a lawyer calling from a law firm. He asked me to verify my social security number and date of birth to him. I told him I am NOT verifying ANYTHING and that if he REALLY is an attorney calling from a law firm then he should have all of that information. I asked him for the name of this so called law firm and address. He told me the name is LLC Law Firm and the address is Third Court Street, Auburn City, NY 13021. I asked him 3 times for the building number or street number and he just kept saying that is the whole address. These people are nuts if they think I'm going to fall for this scam! His phone number is 561-899-9595. I asked him if I could speak to someone there who speaks english and apparently their is no one in that office who does. I told him to quit calling me at work but apparently he didn't understand that because he has called me no less than 5 times a day at work for the past 2 weeks. He keeps leaving me threatening messages (which I have kept because I will let the authorities listen to them) stating that they are pressing charges and taking me to court and that it will end up ruining my life because I will be arrested at work. I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General's Office.

I got the same call from a Peter Manual..I advised him it was a scam and that I already contacted the State Attorney Generals Office. and that I keep receiving the same threatening message over and over again on my cell phone. He then got mad and threatened to send law offices to my house, as well as continue to call and harrass me, I told him to get a real job...

Your spelling and grammer indicate that english is not your first language.  Also, you fail to provide any contact information for the business that anyone else can use to verify it is in fact a legitimate business (legal business name, website, address, state license number, local telephone number).  I believe that you are one of the scammers.

I also got call from them but they are genuin company. I took loan but forget to pay back the loan good they reminded me. we are fool we do take loan but never pay it back, its not there mistake its our mistake. they are not harrising us they are doing their job.

My son got a call today telling him that he had a $5,000 loan and that he needed to pay $2,000 in 1 hour today in order for them to drop the lawsuit against him.  If he didn't pay they would have the police come to his house or job to arrest him.  I told him it was a scam, My son called Joe Smith back, told him that he was going to his lawyer's office right now and he would ask his lawyer for advice, Joe Smith told him that he didn't need to talk to a lawyer.  WHAT A SCAM.

I think John Smith is the Caller.  This is a scam.  Another name used is Carol Smith.  They are of Indian descent or something foreign.  They are calling people this morning.  These a#@holes needs to be locked up.

Their phone number was different but the same address info as you guys. The caller id said 646-558-0072. Both Edward Johnson who is the supervisor & Adam Smith, called me about proceedings that will be filed against me tomorrow 5/6/11 @ 11am. They wanted to confirm my social and bank info. I requested an address, he gave me 3rd thurgood avenue, Auburn City, NY 13021, then when I told him I work in a law firm & asked for more info from the company they claimed they represented and he hung up on me.

I received a call today from a gentlemen name Jay.  He told me i owed 5400.00 in loans and fees from a payday loan that i received and never paid back. He told me that a court case would be filed against me and I would be arrested at my job and charges would be brought against myself and my employeer fro theif of money.  He advised that if i paid $1832.00 we would be able to settle the matter our of court.  The genlemen had an indian accent and said he was from LLC Lawyers.  I called him back at 315-294-9467 at 6:00 and spoke to him to get additional information so my family could hear what he said. There was a lot of nosie in the backgroud and my sister swore she heard a child.    When we tried to call him back 10 minutes later the call could would not go through.  Please becareful of calls you receive from this number, these guys are really good.  It very unerving because he had a lot of my personal information.  I will be reporting this information to my local authorities.  I almost got caught up in this scam, i am thankful for all who has posted to this site.

Me too. I received a call on Friday from an LA number from a woman. Heavy indian accent. Threatening me with a lawsuit. I wanted more info and asked me to verify my last four digits of my social, I did, then I asked what is going on, she said they will be filing a law suit on behalf of a payday company called cash advances and gave me the case number. So, I said look I never recieved any correspondence from any of these payday loan creditors and that you cannot go to jail for a pay day loan default. and I hung up. She called back and told me how dare you hang up!!
Then, today I got a call from a MN number another Indian guy threatening me with lawsuit and 3 felony charges. He wanted me to verify my social I said no! and asked what firm are you calling from and he said LLC Law. I told him LLC stands for Limited liability Corp. he them transfered me to his supe Mr. Charles Green now he goes by Charlie and of course a heavy accent. So, this MR. Green's number is 315-294-9467. Also, he told me that they would be filing the law suit in the court house (well of course where else you would be filing...) and come to my workk and arrest me and that I will lose my job. He also asked if I was on Parole or probation and to call the office to let them know I am being sued and commited a felony and not one but three...he got more irritated and told me that they will arrest my employer...be careful all no one can go to jail for a default on a payday loan. Call the FBI. All the incoming calls when I called back where disconnected numbers or got a message that this number is not currently in service. Charles Green gave me the number I stated above so I can have my lawyer call him back. I hung up and called him right back. They have caller ID be careful
He would not give me the details of the suit if I did not verify the SS. He read me the social and I confirmed. He then said that the money I allegedly took was written off as a loss but they were moving forward with the lawsuit of three felony charges and told me not to inrupt him while he reads the charges or else he would hang up and told me if I had a lawyer I shold give him my lawyer number, name and bar num...what a nut. So, he kept going on with some nonesense. These people are dangerous. All of you call the FBI and FTC to file a complaint!!! also call you local police. I called my local police and they told me to tell them to stop harrasing you or else you will file a complaint with the department. He b*****d ruined my day - if you want to earn a dirty living Mr. whoever you are go back to where you came from and not in my country you b*****d!!! Ruined my day!!! I am calling the FBI, AG, FTC and US Attorney's office.

I just got a call from a Carol Smith and a Detective Green otherwise known as "Charles Green" with again a very thick accent. I basically had the same thing happen to me as what everyone else has put on here. these people are very rude. Please son't give them any information or verify information from them.

I received a phone call at my work number today from a "Carol Smith" with a very thick accent, tell me that I need to call her back, it was a legal matter.

I just got the same call at my work number from a "Carol Smith" she claimed that she was calling from LLC Law offices. This is a scam. There is no such office.

I just received a voicemail message on my cell phone yesterday and again this morning.  A call from Joe Smith and he said that it is urgent/very important that I call him back or my attorney to call him back.  I wasnt sure who this man is and what he wants but i googled the number he left on my voicemail which is 315-294-9467 and I am so glad I did.  I had a feeling it is a scam but I wanted to make sure.  I am glad i read all these posts from others.

Scam alert: Bogus debt collectors

This scam isn't technically about credit cards, but it is scary enough to post a warning. The Better Business Bureau issued an alert today saying consumers across the country are getting phone calls from bogus debt collectors claiming default on a payday loan. Of course, the consumer needs to pay a large fee to avoid arrest -- as much as $1,000.
The caller poses as a lawyer, and may threaten extradition to face trial if the consumer doesn't pay up immediately.
What makes these calls alarming -- and perhaps convincing -- is that the perpetrators reference the consumer's personal information, such as the person's Social Security number, driver's license number, previous bank account numbers, home address -- even personal references.
"The amount of information they have is really troubling," says BBB spokeswoman Alison Southwick. She adds that the amount of data points to a possible security breach.
Spread the word to your friends and family: Don't give out personal or financial information to an unknown caller. Scammers can spoof Caller ID to display different numbers, so trust your instincts over technology.
The BBB offers these tips:
?    Ask the debt collector to provide official documentation which substantiates the debt.
?    Do not provide or confirm any bank account, credit card or other personal information over the phone until you have confirmed the legitimacy of the call.
?    File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online if the caller is abusive, uses threats or otherwise violates federal telemarketing laws or the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
?    File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online if you believe a debt collector is trying to scam you.

i've also received serveral of their messages under the name of Peter Manuel and Lisa Jackson with heavy accents stating my attorney needs to call.  Not sure how accurate this is, but "Lisa" gave me an address for LLC because they don't have a fax # - she provided 3rd Court Street, Auburn City, NY 13021 as their address ... I've emailed Auburn City to see if they can help put a stop to these people, but who knows ... until then ...

I keep getting these phone calls as well, from a charles green. I am definatley annoyed that he thinks he is going to get away with this, well guess what mr. green I am going to get you!

I got a call last night & again 10 minutes ago.  I ignore the calls & the message left was exactly like the person above wrote.  His name is Joe Smith & there is alot of noise in the background.  Honestly, do these people not have anything better to do?  I am very familiar of the scam... I am very familiar in how the system works as well.  It is so frustrating, because they have even called my work.... and I work for a Judge!!!  

I received a call approx 1 month ago, and I answered it.  It was a different # & a different man.  I listened just shortly, before I exploded on him!!!  In the end, we both were in a shouting match & all he kept saying was "You are a fraud" over & over again & then he hung up.  After two calls, I think he realized he wasn't getting anywhere with me... He never called back.

A lawsuit???  People don't fall for this scam!!!  I promise there is no lawsuit, and if there is a lawsuit, you will receive documents, not a phone call from a foreign man/woman!!!

Foreign speaking woman claiming her name is Carol Smith is harassing me.  She claims that it is imperative that I phone back and if I don't something will happpen.  Don't call this number.  It is a scam.
