i got a message from a male claiming that he is an officer and im in big trouble you better give me a call i believe this is a scam

I've had the same calls. I ctually spoke with someone and I'm sure they were very pissed when they got of the phone with me.

At one poin the person I spoke to, started raising his voice at me. I kept my cool and spoke to him in the most anoyingly peppy voice I could. Like the first person said, DONT SEND THEM ANY MONEY. If its a legitimate claim, the company can contact you

I got a call from Jacob Martin today Dec 3, 2010.   Said I must call back right away and good luck to me if I don't.  He said it was in reference to a legal matter.

Eddie Jones just called my house and left a message with a different phone # to call back 315-519-2921 or me and Everyone at my work is going to be taken away in handcuffs tomorrow morning.  I'm printing all your posts out and taking them down to the police station this afternoon.

Similar story... Eddie Jones is a busy man, I guess. First he says, "2nd warning call" and then the same issue... says to have my "attorney of record" contact him at this number... I have had these calls before. They do stop after awhile; they seem to go in spurts. Last time I told them I sent all their info to the FBI and local state Attorney's office and it seemed to stop for awhile, but here we go again.  It is totally a scam and the only reason they are still doing it is because they scare people into paying their fees. Don't listen to them... if there was a legit complaint from ANY person/company you have financial obligations to they would send you letters in writing or certified mail. They would never call; and any type of bill collector that is threatening and uses scare tactics is against the law... so don't be fooled by these idiots.

I got a phone call at work from a VERY angry middle eastern man claiming his name is Eddie Jones.  First he said he was suing me for $5,000. I told him I had not idea what he was talking about and asked him to fax me over some documentation.  He refused so got his phone # and the name of his company (Cash Partners of America) then I hung up.  He called back and asked to talk to the owner of my company. I said no and again asked him to reference a claim # & send over some documentation.  He continued to call back a dozen times in a  30 min period.  I did my best to keep my cool and just giggles NO everytime he asked to talk to my boss.  This just got him angrier.  So I looked up the company name he gave me and it does not exsist. Then I googled the phone # and found all your responses.  I will now be calling the police and letting them deal with Habib aka Eddie Jones.  PLEASE BE CAREFULY OF SCAMBAGGS LIKE THIS

Just received another call this am from the 3192949472 from Steven Anthony, an angry sounding Middle eastern Indian accented man.  I have been receiving these calls every few months since Aug 2009.  They come from California, NY, etc.  I cannot believe that they cannot be traced and stopped.  It is harrassment and terrorism of sorts, and certainly it is a scam.  I to, had pay day loans in the past and something must have been hacked.  I have no outstanding debts, and am on time with my financial obligations.  This however, is irritating and I know gets my B/P up every time they call.  If I could I would sue these people, however, they will not get a dime from me unless they can back up their claim with something in writing from the company which they supposed represent, but don't give their names.

Whatever you do don't send these idiots a dime this is a SCAM. Please report to BBB and your attorney general's office. This has been going on for years and they have to be stoped.

Everyone should get educated on the laws of debt. Once the statute of limitations has run out (I believe it is seven years) you do not have to pay UNLESS you make a payment on an old loan. Then it is active again.

No-one can arrest you for debt, you can be taken to court but you would get it in writing first. No debt collection agency can garnish your wages or get you fired from your job.

Don't even answer the phone for these guys.

I encourage everyone to pay their debts but make sure everything is on the up and up and EVERYTHING is in writing.

I too have received this call from some angry Indian/Pakistani claiming something bad will happen. Tells me that either myself or my attorney of record must call them back the second I get this message as it is time sensitive.  They have called twice now.  He says his name is Jacob Martin and has a very threatening tone.  I have not called them back and do not intend too if they are not willing to supply me with paper back up.  What else can I do???

I received a similar phone call today from the number '0000' but they left a message asking me to retur the phone call to the 315 number. I also suspsect it's from an online payday loan I did almost 2 years ago, since doing that loan I get various calls of this nature.  This time the man wished me "good luck" three or four times towards the end of his message.  Total scam, do not send them money, in fact do not call them back or give them any of your time.  Nothing bad will happen to you if you don't call them, if you ignore them they will eventually go away.  Though they will try a few months down the road with a different phone number, so if you want the calls to go away completely, I seriously advice changing your number.

Caller says this message was intended for me. Says I should call himback as soon as I receive his message."If not, it will be very bad". I suspect it is another scam from when I stupidly did a payday loan online. Every few months they call me from different numbers and say the same things.They are usually of Indian or Middle-eastern descent and have fake sounding English names. At the end of the call they say "Good Luck". Who says that when trying to collect a legitimate debt? I have recieved no documentation of anything and have no outstanding loans. Please dont send these people any money and be careful!!

I received the same call, when I told him that I would need something in writing before I could give him any money he said he could not do that  Said they were going to arrest me and also stated that they contacted my employer and I was about to be terminated.  DON'T SEND THEM ANYTHING!!!!  In fact report them to your states Attorney General.  I have an address the guy gave me which I have checked and believe it to be fake.

I too have received this call from some angry Indian/Pakistani claiming something bad will happen. When I return the call the number is no longer in service. This matter should be taken to the Dept Of Homeland Security as I consider this cyber terrorism.

I called them back to mess with them, and this guy kept talking about sex. They called back 12 times after that. I don't recommend returning the call, unless you are looking for a good time over the phone to India. Lesson learned.

Either way, they are a scam. They are not associated with anyone, they just fraudulently obtained yours, or the previous number holder's information. I guess if anyone listened to the message, it would be pretty easy to realize they are nonsense. You can complain all day long to the FCC, or your phone company; but they will just obtain another U.S based call number. There is not a lot to do about overseas phone harassment.  Even if there were strict laws in place, I'm pretty sure it's not a priority for Interpol.

John Smith, Jacob Martin... different name everytime will call your references that you listed on loans and will threaten not only your jobs but theirs. I called and asked for this John Smith and the guy said it was his son... This is a fradualent company and I have call police and filed FTC against them. Don't do payday loans or short time loans on the internet these guys are breaking into these accounts using your SS# but only the last 4 digits. They are bad news......... Don't give them money

I received that same call saying I owed 5000 for a 300 dollar loan in 2009. Unlike y'all I was getting to pay them,because they said I would go to jail...they said they was reporting me to my state for 3 accounts against me. If I haven't investigated this I would have paid money for no reason. I just didn't remember haing a loan so they gave me this fake account number. Thanks all of yall for posting. I fell like such a fool.

I got a call this morning at my job and they called me to inform me that I had a court day tomorrow that I owed $5000.00 to pay the or that if I wanted to i could pay them $1400.00 at that moment i couldn't believe what was going on I had no clue what they were talking to me about all I knew is that I had to go to my bank and get the story straight once I did that I found thou that all of it was a SCAM by the same company that you guys are talking about the LLC Law Firm at 315 294 9472 a woman by the name Rachel Jonathan or Michale Paul called but I'm glade that I'm not alone in this.

Suzanne Williams calling from LLC Law Firm keeps calling my job and my personal cell.  I don't know what they are calling in regards to.  When they call my cell phone they leave really nasty/arrogant messages saying that I "MUST" call back as soon as possible.  I never answer.  When they started calling me at work on Monday, they had no problem giving out personal info about me to a co-worker including making the statement "I am calling in regards to allegations against her SSN".  Tuesday they called wanting to know what my work schedule was.  Wednesday they harrassed me at work and I looked into how to file a complaint on the internet.  According to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, Section 806, it states that: 1- They cannot contact you at a time/place known to be inconvenient to you.  2-  They cannot contact you at work if your employer or youself disapprove.  3-  They cannot give out any information to anyone but you.  DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO TO THESE PEOPLE.  They wouldn't tell me what company they worked for beyond LLC Law Firm based out of Albany, NY.  But the phone number 315-294-9472 is a number out of Syracuse.  When  I asked their address so I can send a "Cease all Communications" letter, she wouldn't repeat it and with her Indian accent I couldn't make out anything beyond Albany, NY.  When I asked her to repeat it she got smart with me and said "Well then you should have listened better the first time."

I just received the same call! I have an attorney who represents me. He called them on my behalf and the information they requested was bogus. We all need to file complaints on this company and shut them down!

I started receiving calls at work a week ago but it is a local number, but they give a call back number of 3152949472. Last week the person that kept calling was named Mike Williams with a heavy indian accent. This week Nick Williams is calling and sounds like the same person. When my coworkers answer the phone they won't give her any message but that I need to contact him immediately and leave the 315 number and if I don't they will come and arrest both of us. i am unable to answer my cell phone at work and they have left me several long messages, which I cant understand due to the accent along the lines of they will come and arrest me and good luck!!! I have tried to call back several times and I either get a message with the subscriber is unavailable please call back later and your call will now be disconnected or it is busy!!!  I don't have any loans and it is pissing me off!!!!!!!!

I keep getting these calls on my business answering service line, for someone that does not work for me nor have I ever heard the name before. The only annoying thing is this is a paging service line, and I cannot get them to stop calling. I get 4 calls a day and so I must stop what I am doing and check these ridiculously threatening messages. I would love to get my hand on this Steven Paul brat and smack him one good.

Is there anything legally that I can do? They just won't stop!

I received a call today at work. I have not returned the call.

I received a call today from this number from LLC Law office. Voice mail was for ME. When I called back they said it was my fiancee not me. Are you serious? So now you want me to give you his number. No. She hung up when I said it was not the right number she called. When I called back to the same person and asked for a supervisor, she said she had no time for me and hung up again.  Ok fine. Since then I have been calling them number and it keeps coming up with the recording "The subscriber you have dialed is not available or has traveled out of the calling area. Please try your call again later." with some code or something.


So to me this is a scam but funny how they called my phone asking for me then when calling back they said it was not me.

Michael Paul called my work place on 7/30/2010 and yelled at my supervisor that I had 3 lawsuit allegations against me and that I was going to be in big trouble I called him back and the lady who answered the phone would not let me talk to him until I told her I would not say who I was.  I never told him who I was either but because of caller ID he knew my name.  I told him I was calling my attorney general and wanted to know where his company was from and he said Auburn, NY.  I also asked how he got my name and he said I had done  business with Cash Advance which is a lie.  I told him I haven't done business with Cash of America and he said good look and tried to read an affidavit over the phone to me (of couse I could not understand him very well) and I kept saying I do not agree to anything you are saying and take me off your calling list and finally I hung up.

I have received calls from this place since the end of May.  These people do not like being talked back at, all they know how do is yell at you that you have defaulted on a payday loan.  Call your state attorney generals office to get this reported.  When you get a call just hung up on them, this is a Scam.  My caller ID came through as a local call.  This needs to be Stopped.
