I just got another call from a phone jack number 210-401-3937 threatening the same legal documents b.s., but this time they solicited my young son for information.  Must admit I got pretty hot and said several "off color" remarks, but they went to far by scaring my son!!  If you get any calls from this number, consider it the same scam, just switching numbers to annoy us!!  I contacting the FDCPA again with this number, and I encourage anyone else to do the same!!

Got a call asking if I would accept legal documents, but said no and hung up only to have them call back right away and ask the same question.  I said I didn't know this person and hung up, then got on here and see that my instinct about the call was right!!  Thank-you for all your post!!

Got two phone calls back to back asking to verify that someone would be home to accept legal papers from the sheriff's department. I asked what county they were calling from, they would not answer. Seeing as the area code 315 is from ACROSS THE COUNTRY WHERE I HAVE NEVER BEEN, I hung up and googled. Scam. I am going to see if I can report to the authorities.

This number called me as a daily basis, I never answer & they never leave any messages. It's a scam !

I am receiving calls from this this number and the caller ID says her name is Carol Ward last call I received was from Michelle White I do believe I am being harassed and I am tired of it for a year now they have been calling me from so many different numbers I am at the point I do not use my phone or never answer or just turn it off. I have important people trying to get a hold of me but because I keep getting harassed I never can get my important calls for not answering because these people keep calling from so many numbers and from different states, What can I do to stop this? I get the same thing sheriff is coming to deliver some papers I tell her go ahead and sent them to deliver these papers, I havent seen no sheriff and I am tired of this. I have 2 disabled people in my house my phone is important for emergencies and with these people continuing calling I stop answering any calls unless I know the number or person on the caller ID. Over it.

The caller, a woman, asked me to verify that someone would be at home to receive a legal document for "Sang Sang."  When I said that I'd never heard of this person, she wanted information from me so that this "Sang Sang" could be reprimanded in court for fraud.  In other words, the caller tries to enlist you on the side of "justice" in order to get personal information from you.  I asked her please never to call me again, and she hung up.

This number called asking for someone saying the sherrif department was needing to bring paper work. I called it back and it said its a Magic Jack Phone Number. This is a scam!!

I get back to backs on this one too, but no message or anything.  I never answer a number I don't know because of all the scams running out there now days.  If they would leave a message I might call back.  And I don't mean a message saying to call this number, you need to say who you are and why you are calling and who you are looking for.........other wise I still won't call you back.

I get back to back phone calls from this number. I never answer, due to that I don't know who this # belongs to. These calls are on a daily basis at times.
