Received a call saying they are calling from IRS and a  warrant has been issued under my name for tax fraud.  Person who identified him self as Ron Smith  offered me a settlement out of court and asked me to send a money order for $893.59. Otherwise a police officer will show up  at my door step within next 20 minutes to arrest me.
He also gave me below address to mail the money order

223 3rd Ave West
NY, NY 10038
As I asked for proof of the fraud charges he said that can be send only once the money is received.

Have been getting same calls from "Steve Austin" from 202-241-9668...wants to talk to my husband. So far he's had to leave messages since I don't pick up calls from random numbers but gives the whole Crime Investigation etc etc need to all back ASAP otherwise he will have to start proceedings against him. First call was about a month ago, now two calls since yesterday.

I received one of those calls too.  What a joke, on the first message he used the name of Daniel Parker then I called it already knowing it was BS because there is no way i have 3000 charges against me only this time he was Steve Austin...I take it of 6 million dollar man fame...he told me many people work in that office and it must have been someone else with that accent who called me....Really?  this is an incredible accent,  I was told if I dont pay them officers would arrest me at my door and take me to prison in Alaska.....well I live in Minnesota and it might be warmer there.....what a joke...I am taking off of work tomorrow so the officers can come take me away

Received a shady call from an "Officer Steve Austin from the IRS" regarding a "legal court matter".  He requested to speak with my parents, I said they are not available at the moment and I can take a message.  He rudely asked for the cell phone number of my parents.  I refused to provide it, and again informed him that I can take a message, and he told me my parents need to call him ASAP.

I googled the number he called from to find out he's a scammer and others have been harassed by him as well.  Reported him on the DOJ extortion website as well.

These suckers from India called me earlier today. First Steve Austin, who actually gave the batch number CRD4596, said there were three complaints filed against me. There were red-flags all over. Once I doubted the nature of his call, he had me talk to his supervisor Rick William, who said he was with "National Bureau of Investigation" within IRS in Washington DC and he was willing to "settle the IRS charge outside of the court" or face "cop arrest within 15 minutes." Obviously these morons are forging a VOIP number from Syracuse, NY.

I had the same person calling me.  Thanks for posting your mails.  Same message, same thick accent and posing as a federal agent.  Of course, Feds have a different MO, bit it did send a scare briefly.
Thanks for posting.

Just another scammer. Real federal agents would identify with the actual name of their agency. But be careful, there are a whole series of scammers posing as DEA and IRS agents. The tip off it is a scam is that they want you to pay a "fine" to make the charges "go away" and use an untraceable payment method such as a Green Dot Money Pak card.  Most of these scammers are operating outside the US and use VOIP to spoof US numbers to try and fool those they call into believing what they say. Don't fall for it.
