Called today at about 5:30 p.m. EDT. No name given on Caller ID. As usual when I get an unidentified call, I connected the call and then immediately disconnected. I rarely get more than two calls from any one number once I start hanging up on them.

This is just the latest number "spoofed" by the perverts who are trying to illegally sell prescription drugs, worthless car warranties or whatever.
I just answer and then immediately hang up. It usually takes a week or two of daily calls before the perverts figure out that I won't listen to their spiel. Then, they leave me alone for a couple of weeks before trying another number.
I still don't answer if I don't recognize the number on Caller ID.
