SAME THING.... HE SENT CHECK FOR 3300$ FOER 1200$ POOL TABLE AND WANTED TO GIVE EXTRA CASH TO HIS MOVERS.  BOGUS !!!!!! BEWARE

Guess his name is Coley Dowait. He has text me 2x's on 2 different numbers I have, about my CL add to sale a saddle. Other number he used is 315-670-7052. Just another dumb @#$ that thinks everybody's a sucker except for him.

I posted an item on CL. Received several text expressing interest.  Ive never had problems before. Glad I googled his name, coley dowait. Same number as above! Contacting police dept! He contacted the wrong seller!

Now he is using the name of Coley Dowait from this same number.  Running the same scam on a CraigsList ad.  I knew something was wrong when he could not answer simple questions.

Spammer trying to send me false check  for an item on Craigs List   # is 315-333-0624. Third time this has happened in the last 6 months.

He had a certified check for 2.5 million with my name on it.  All I had to do is put $999 on a debit card and give him the numbers from the card.  Well you guessed it, I didn't fall for that.  But he has called five times now.

I got a text message from this person in response to a craigslist ad I have up.  Quoting his exact text:

"I saw your Saddle for sale,Am interested in purchasing it, how much is the bottom price?, Thanks  Ryan Oswalt"

Glad I googled it, not responding to it now and will modify my craiglist ad to remove my phone number.

Just got the same scammer.  Wanted to purchase my item on CL. Wanted to send a check and would have moving company to pick up.  Tried to call the number but no answer.

I got a check in the mail today for 1,950

Also wrote me a check for 1,950 for a 170 item. Couldn't even spell 'street' right on the address. Fake and fraud.

I just got the same thing. I have an item on CL and he claims check is in the mail and will have mover pick item up once check clears my bank. I don't understand what he is getting out of this. Not like I have mailed the item before hand. I guess he's getting his rocks off!! I also got another saying he would pay me 50 more to remove my advert from CL.

What is his purpose in doing this?  To get items and give a bogus check?  Or to rob people?

Got a text about an item I purchased on CL.  He wanted to overnight me a check.  Asked for my address and full name.  What do you think he wants because stupid me gave it to him?  Oh and he said his name was Ryan Oswalt.

yeah, this is definitely a scammer who is using this number to "buy" items from CL. He will overnite you a certified check which is bogus. Probably will overpay you and try to get you to refund him the difference. He texted me also about an item on CL...same story as above.

I received a text from this same number about my ad on CL as well! They told me that their name was Ryan Oswalt and they were moving from NY and wanted to send a certified check over night to me for my product. I tried calling and no answer and the name on the voice mail was different from the one given.

Left odd text concerning purchase of an item I had on CL. I left vm sent another text refusing to talk in person. Name on vm answering message didn't match name given in text message
