Same story here, lady with an Indian accent wanted me to open up my computer and start doing things because of the error reports they were recieving. I pretty much said I wasnt at my computer and what number could I call her back at. She gave me this number and told me her extension was 1. She told me she was located in CA and they were a support line center for Widows. I told her this sounds like a Scam and I was probably going to check into it before I called her back. She hung up on me. Oops! hehehe!

I just got this call too.  I asked for a number that I could call back.  I called, got another man with and Indian accent.  While he was talking, I googled the number and found this.  I asked him if he was trying to sale me something, he asked if he sounded like a salesman.  I told him he did and I wasn't so sure about this call.  He said well then maybe you should just hang up on me then.  I did.

Same scenario as everyone. "Mike Johnson" with a foreign accent. I was suspicious of him. I wondered how he got my name. But I think he may have worked at some place that I called before for tech support. Could be Verizon or some other place.

A caller by the name of Jordan, he claimed he was from windows tech support, that my computer had over 200 error messages, they had received messages that I have been having error messages and that he wanted me to go to my computer and follow his instructions. I couldn't understand him due to his accent so therefore I asked to speak to someone else and he would just go around it. Then I was firm and said to him that I want to talk to his supervisor and the guy put me on hold and then picked up and proceeded to tell me the same. I ended up hanging up with him. During the conversation, I told him that this phone call was very strange and that he was calling from a restricted number and that I needed a number that he was calling from. Then I received 6 restricted calls from this guy.

A heavily accented man calling himself Mac Johnson from Global Tech Microsoft called saying they got a report of errors from my computer. I said no one is using the computer right now and haven't all day. He said angrily, 'this was NOT today, this was about three or four weeks ago'...  I told him I could hardly hear or understand him, he sounded angry by that and asked to speak to someone who uses the computer. I said I use it to so what is going on. He again stated "we are receiving errors about your home computer" ---  I replied that I did not know what he was talking about, he was hard to hear and to understand and I asked for a number to get back to him.
He gave 315-633-4050 and said to ask specifically for him MAC JOHNSON -- and I hung up the phone.  I believe this was some sort of a scam so tried to DEX the number.  Just got "a private number from BRIDGEPORT, NY" -- and it came up on my CID as OUT OF THE AREA"     -------   GO FIGURE!!

A heavily accented man began calling in the beginning of June and has continued to be very persistent. I was skeptical from the first call. He claims to be from Microsoft and is calling because your computer is sending error messages, which may crash and loose all of your information. He instructed me to get to my computer and he would tell me what to do to "FIX" it. I had to get him to repeat himself a few times, because his English is not very fluent, through a heavy accent. I did not take the call seriously. so I simply told him that someone else handles our computer issues and was not available. He continued to call back, the same man. For a company, such as Microsoft, it would be highly unlikely the same person would call, if you got a phone call at all. The last time he has called, I asked for a telephone number that we could reach him, when it was convenient. He was very reluctant, but finally gave me this number, 315-352-0802. I got on Google and did a reverse search, it was a scam after all. He had been calling for over 5 weeks.
Trust your instincts!

My wife got this call this afternoon about 4:20. He said exactly that; he was from Windows Tech Support 7 "we are receiving a lot of error messages from your computer!!" (with urgency in his Middle- Eastern sounding voice). " Are you in front of your computer?" No!, my wife answered, with the baby crying in the background. She asked for his number so she or I could call him right back & he gave her 315-352-0802.
Thanks for the tip. I knew it..I told my wife when she called me at work that it must be a scam. I mean; imagine, Windows calling me because of my error messages? Yeah, right! But if you heard my wife & her panic that WINDOWS TECH SUPPORT was calling, well, I'm sure she'd have been walked right through the scam trying to "help" this guy if she was better on the computer. ThankJesus she only knows google & Ma-Jong. ; {)

I received a call from this number from a guy with an Indian accent who called himself Gary. He said he was from windows tech support, that my computer had over 200 error messages and that he wanted me to go to my computer and follow his instructions.  First of all he asked for someone whose name I have never heard of and had the wrong address. I told him to give me his name and number and that I would call him back. Seems like a scam to me.

Much the same story as above, though they haven't yet asked for money. They said they'd transfer us to an expert, we said we'd call back, and I decided to check the number first, which led me here.

Received a call from a man with an Indian accent with the last name of johnson. This came up an an unknown number and I later asked what his number was and this is the number he gave me. I told him after he said that over the last couple of weeks they had gotten reports of a virus being downloaded on my computer. I teach Identity Theft so I wasnt buying in to what he was telling me and I told him I only deal with my internet provider for virus issues and I would contact them. He then was getting very frustrated with me. dont give any info to them it is a set up!

I have gotten several calls from the same Indian-Accent-American-Name men.  When I ask for their number they usually hang up on me.  I finally got the number and found this page.  I think its a scam as well, at least some kind of up sell.

I received a call from "Brad Watson" with an Indian accent also, We got off to a bad start but then I started to believe him. I'm sad to say I fell for it after being skeptical.  He told me he was with Window's Care and they had received message that I have been having error messages,, which I have.  He told me I had viruses and all kinds of BS, I usually hang up on phone calls like this, but I had been having some problems.  He had me go to Logmein Rescue and now there is no telling what they've done on and to my computer.  I became very mad after starting doing what they were doing he told me it was going to cost me $169.99, I said are you crazy, you call me - and stupid me listens to you - you didn't mention any thing about money until now-I have NO idea what you've done to my computer and I'm not paying you a cent because I don't have it. Then I should have hung, but I didn't and he got me for $49.99.
Now I need to call the bank, change my card number and have someone check my computer, I may even call the police and inform them, let then know about this scam.
