I received a call from charles green from this number stating I defaulted on a payday loan and waa going to be arrested for 3 felonies.  He wanted me to send him 1,972.00 through prepaid visa cards. He said he sent over documentation to the local authorities but when I called to confirm there was no such documentation. Is this a scam? I am freaking out!

Look at there address:461 Ellicott Street in Buffalo NY. What's located there? The Washington Market which includes from what I called them about is a resturaunt, grocery store, and yes there is one debt collection. agency but it is not rja capital. they used to be located here but not anymore. They sent email corresponce to my coworker recently & used this address at the bottom of the letter. why are they still. using. this address if they are no longer located here? Don't legitimate debt collectors have a valid address? Also if you were to set up payments with a valid debt collection agency won't some type of business name show up in your bank statement. I questioned rja capital on this and they say it doesn't. I'm not so sure that's the truth. How would you ever be able to prove you paid them if there's not a company name attached to the transaction?
Think about all this before you let rja capital try to scam you. they may have ur name, last 4 of social, & name of original creditor but lets remember one word: phishing. Don't forget a lot of people are victims of that everyday. And for the people who get calls at work: the law on debt collections says they are NOT allowed to call your place of work. just thought id post this up to help everyone out. my best advice to everyone is research as much info on any debt collector you come in contact with.!

A lady by the name of Nicole Smith from RJA Capital is harrasing me with phone calls.She is harrasing me at work, and harrasing my family, and I need her to stop.

this company called threatening to take me to court, i've been looking up and seeing plenty of other people complain about this company, do not believe them this is a scam!  they are trying to scam us out of $500!  they cannot harass you, you need to change all your information.

When they called my brother, who I haven't used as a reference on anything for over ten years they told him they got his phone number off my credit report from an old loan i used him as a reference on!! what??? That is so insane that they have gotten access and are fishing through my info for any phone numbers to harrass. This woman has my mom scared that i'm going to jail.

but see my other post. I found their info and will be sending them a cease and desist letter!!!

I have found RJA capital online and they say they help beat fraud when it comes to companies trying to collect on illegal debts or "purchased" debts. I have been being harrassed by this woman as well as almost every family member I have has been being harrassed. Regardless, I have now found their address and will be sending them via certified mail a cease and desist letter! Anyone else...their address is below...

This woman is complete trash. She keeps calling my number and asking for the previous person who had our number. I told her I wasn't him, she said she'd make a note and I hung up. She immediately called back and said "You're welcome by the way"... So, Nicole, or whoever the hell you are... You have been reported to the Do Not Call registry and I am documenting from now on. So keep calling honey, because I would love to get paid because you're stupid!

Thought I'd just say that the people who complain are the people who don't pay their bills. I did collections for a while when I was younger and I know that's how it works. I also worked with this company and pretty much what Rebecca said was true only I didn't get a settlement, I had to pay everything I owed but they allowed me to do affordable payments over time even though the loan I had was short term. No one ever comments when they have a good experience so I thought I'd put in my 2 cent

nicole smith called and stated that sonja campbell had listed me as a reference, I asked for more information and she hung up on me I called back and she hung up again, called again and she would not answer phone......not only is this a scam but she is scum....the name of her company is RJA Capital

yes her name is Nicole Smith. She called me about a payday loan i took out a few years ago. i thought it was a scam at 1st but she faxed me verification of the debt which included my original acct number. she also let me settle for 75% of what i owed. i paid it the same day and she faxed over a paid in full letter

Is her name Nicole Smith? She called and said I was listed as a reference by someone I've never heard of and that she needed to talk to me about legal paperwork she was filing against this person she named.
Its so annoying that these people are allowed to call and do these things!

There is a lady that keeps calling my from 315-410-2082 saying that there a multiple complaints against me and telling me that she is sending my paperwork to my county -- this lady is crazy she keeps telling me I owe some company called the SSM Group for a payday loan that I never took out -- I told her to send me documentation stating all of this infomation that she so call has and she said that it is too late to send by mail --BS this company is a bunch of cons trying to scare you into giving them money - do not ever give this company money EVER they are not legit and this is so illegal-- they keep harassing me at work -- harrasing my family members ---I have no idea how they got all of their information but this is out of control -- how do we stop these horrible people?

I keep getting phone calls from that number.
