I recieved a phone call today from # 631-310-4238 stating I am being sued and a complint was going to the NJ Court tomm which is a Saturday.. i expalined i knew nothiong about this debt and was requesting further information which was not provided. I finall was able to get the name of the company Advance Credit. I phone the company via google and got the phone # and called and even on the web site there was a phone # to report the scam, The person on the phone ws of Indian descent and wanted 790.00 but would settle for 345.00 and then would accept 2 payment of 191.00 paid by Green Dot Pack and i was told to call mt Jason Newman back. i will not give them a dime but just want to make eveyone aware of whats going on out there.

I have received numerous phone calls threatening me with collections and freezing my assets.  Today, I received a 911 call from an individual indentifying himself first as Officer, then Detective Michael Murray at 760.545.3861, Badge #135 of California, stating that he had received a fax from Jason Hanks.  He stated that the fax indiciated that there is a Federal Warrant to arrest me and seize my assets.  He wanted me to give him my location so that he could contact and send over the local sheriff to arrest me at my place of employment.  He stated that if I wanted to avoid this that I should immediately call Jason Hanks at 814.209.3011.  I have requested them to provide me with any documentation pertaining to the debt they say I owe or any kind of document of explanation.  They responded that they had sent me an e-mail; I checked and did not find anything of the sort.  I did not call anyone back. They are very intimidating.  Please advise me as to what I should do.  Thank you.

Just got a call from 814-289-8206. Person with an Indian accent says he was calling from Baker & Baker Law Firm in Somerset, Pa. Said there was a lawsuit filed against me from a PAYDAY loan firm and that I owed them $425. Never had a payday loan from a firm called Pay Advance. These people are just trying to scam and get money from people.

I recieved a very upsetting call tonite from   567-248-4394 stating unless I paid them 650.00 by 10:00 am tomorrow I would be arrested for having a past due cash advance. Is this a scam.... Please reply asap...

I got a call it  was from a 408-471-7960  with  this same junk callling my work place and my cell number threaten and yelling  telling ym they only take payment through western union. someone please make them stop. they are scaming people for money.

I keep getting these calls also from different numbers. The one today was also from David Williams. He said this was in reguards to a legal action against my social security number. He transfered me to his supervisor. The first time the wait was a min or so and I hung up. He called right back and transfered me again. I was pissed by this time and I admit I did cuss at him but he said he was with a law firm but then after I talked over him and said I have spoken with the BBB and checked online and I know this is a scam, he said he was not a lawyer and that's when I cornered him and said so you are lying because you just said you were. He said he would be sending the sheriff to my address. Does changing your number stop this?? They could at least get someone with out an accent to make it more believable.

Yea I also got a call from 347-338-3555 telling me I own money to a payday loan and that they will seen the paper work to my work place. I told them to and the still kept calling me ask for me to settle out of court. How can I get them to stop?

I just had a call from bureau of investigation, telling me i owe money for a cash advance from last January. I never took a cash advance from anyone. I was threatened with action to be taken against me. When i asked for more information about who i owe, i got the run around.I was told that my employer would be contacted. I was so upset and scared cause i just didn't know what this was about. Now that i found this sight i feel much better. Everyone else has had a similar experience.The only thing i noticed different is the number. The one i have is 856-896-6588. I had my fiance call this number and the conversation got real intense, but we did manage to get an address which is 6402 garman street,Camden, NJ. The name of the scam artist was David Williams, and yes, he was indian. I hope this info helps people out. I plan on reporting this tomorrow, but not sure who you report it too. If anyone know please let me know.

This is yet another scam company out of New York.  When they call you, the number is 052-312-293, which isn't even 10 digits long.  If you try calling that number, a recording will come up telling you that the call can't be completed.  They leave me messages and I can understand about 1 out of every 10 words.  All I've been able to find out is that it is a land line out of Monrovia, New York.

Yeah I keep getting the calls everyday. They told me that if i don't have my retaining attorney or myself to call them that they only wish me good luck in life because when all my problems fall down around me my life is going to suck (essentially). I must say i can't get them to stop calling me. I told them politely one day that I don't know who you are I don't have business with you. I don't have any bills in default. Anyone that has my personal information should also be able to contact me by email or official contact information. And asked for him/her to take my name off of their calling list. I'm still getting calls that seem to be escalating by them. I want to find this company or whoever they represent and get them out of my phone. My life is not the one to be disrupted by this s**t right now.

This caller claims to be from Legal account association - backroom of a law firm and has a lot of information on me and is threatening me with calling my employer and other stuff.  Has anyone else had this happen?  How do I get it stopped?  They will not tell me who I owe.

This is from Cayuga, New York.  I have emailed the village of Cayuga to find out which police department covers this area and will be contacting them to file a complaint also.  I encourage everyone else to do the same.  I've also found out that the land line carrier is a company called "Level 3 Communication" and I've sent them an email, telling them about what is going on with this line and I've also told them that I plan to get the police involved.

They just called me at work at 1:00 today (1/7/11)  I told the woman who threatened me with Jail that I know this is a scam and I have already notified local, state & federal authorities.  I told her to give me a phone number and I will have the FBI call her back.  She provided 315-982-6454.  I waited awhile and called back and they answered the phone as LLC Law Office.  This is now the third phone number for this company I have on file.  This is part of a scam per US Homeland Security.  File a complaint this your local police, FTC, FCC, Attorney General's Office and Homeland Security.  Advise them this is regarding a scam and they will take the complaints.  They are aware.  Homeland Security got involved for me because I actually lost over $1,000 because they threatened not only jail but calling my employer which I cannot have.  DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY.  If you make a payment you are in for a world of hell because they passed my phone number around and in one week I received 13 identical threatening calls.  Almost like they were reading from a script.  They probably were all in the same room laughing.  This was featured on Entertainment Tonight about a month ago.  If you go on their website you can see these people are scammers.  
I am in the process of talking to an attorney to see if we can sue the phone companies that are providing the phone service to people to commit crimes.  At least in my case, 4 of the 13 phone numbers that have called me the service has been provided by Verizon.

I received a call from the number you listed as well.  Spoke to a man calling himself Troy.  He was nice but the threat was still the same.  I actually started making payments to him because I wasn't sure if my x husband did something that was haunting me.  Again, it is part of the same Indian/Nigerian scam.  I did get my money back!

name of the company he said I owed money to, the amount I supposedly owed, or the telephone number of the company filing the complaint.  

He said he was from a company by the name of Bureau of Credit Investigations and gave me a phone number of 315-496-1453.  He claimed they were the "back office of a law firm".  They had sent my information to court and someone would soon serve me a warrant.  All he could do is "wish me good luck."

I also recieved a message and a call today from Robin McGee telling me the exact same thing however I am in the military so the payday loan company they were "representing", was no way associated with me or my family it is illegal for me to even request a payday loan. However I told them they were wrong and if they felt like sueing me to go ahead I would just turn around and sue the pants of their company. Their whole tune changed then oh i'm sorry I'll fix this immediately and what not. I am still going to contact the FBI because they have quite a bit of information about me and that is something I am not comfortable with. I rceived several messages from a person by the name of Elford Smith. He called my job & my cell#. He says I owe for a cash advance loan I never took. He was yelling on the phone and threatening with legal proceedings. I asked for evidence and he refused to give it to me. He said he also has my social security number, home address etc.

I just received a threatening call on my work number stating that my information was going to be downloaded and if I didn't take care of the matter that it would be very bad for me. The person that called could hardly speak english and he laughed when leaving the message. The company was a Credit Bureau of Investigation. This happen to me about a month or two ago and when I threatened to report them they stop calling. Now the calls are starting back up.

I got a call today(feb.4,2011) fro a Robin Mcgee saying from federal invesigation department and that i owe for a loan that i suppose to have gotton over the internet and have not paid it back........i know nothing about this
