I had a listing on CRAIGSLIST and he texted me for about a personal assistant job. He send me almost $3,000... 400 of it was to go to me and the rest was to buy items for an orphanage. This Just happened in the past few days. I am on my way to the police station to turn him in! His name was Rick Foster. I will make sure he gets what's coming to him!

I got the same thing, he wanted to buy the item I had on ebay, said he would send me a certified check for the asking price. He would then have have his shipper pick it up the item after receipt of check.  I asked what bank is he dealing with, he said SunTrust Bank. As many have said I hope he gets caught or deals with the wrong person.

The check is bogus and will be for more than your asking price to pay for his shipper to collect the item from you.  You will be instructed to wire the money to the shipper after the check "clears".  What that really means is after the 3-5 days the banking regulations state must pass before the money deposited is available to you. That does not mean the check has actually cleared all the way to the bank it was supposedly drawn on and been found legit.  Once you wire the money, you will likely never hear from him again and no one will show up to pick up the item. Then 10 - 14 days later or even longer you will get a notice from your bank that the check was fake or returned for insufficient funds and you will be out the money you wired plus and bank fees for the returned check.  The best thing you can do if you actually get the check is take it to your bank and ask to speak to someone who handles check fraud. Explain the situation and show them any emails or printed instructions that came with the check and include the envelope it came in.  Ask them if they can determine if the check is valid or not and to turn all the information over to the proper authorities if it is not.

I am having the same problem with this guy. I am getting emails and text from him and he says he has mailed my check. i dont see is angle but I hope he gets what is coming too him.

I got a text from this number. He said his name was James and that he was interested in an item I listed on Craigslist. Not sure how he got my number as I didn't list it in the ad. I thought it seemed fishy so I looked the number up before responding. Glad I did!!!

CAN YOU SEND PICS AND FINAL PRICE TO JOSEBLUSESIE AT GMAIL .COM OR 315 497 7530. I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM SO I DIDNT ANSWER BACK. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN THIS NUMBER. I HOPE THE F*CKER GETS CAUGHT...

this guy just texted me last night about a thing I have on sale on ebay. he said hello iam paul interested in buying the item you have posted on ebay, whats the condition? send more pics and final price to josebluesie at gmail.com or 315 497 7530. I knew this guy was a scam so I didn't reaspond back to him. I hope no one falls for his bull s*** and he gets whats coming to him.

Got a text msg asking for more photos and the best price for an item I had on eBay Classifieds.  Sounded fishy to me and decided to google the phone number.  Thanks for alerting me that this is a scam

I was text about a item that was on Ebay....He stated he was interested in an item I had up for sale, He kept asking for my address and that he would send my cashier check and have his guys then he said shipping company pick that item up,that they where in the area and to give him my address so he could send the money and said if I took item off the ad he would add an additional $20.00 I took the ad off  he also asked if I had any other item's for sale......Me not knowing text  back my information including address and some other item's I did have for sale. then no text until the next. That night I looked up his username mayowabluesi at yahoo I had to leave the yahoo part out, sure enough I got a hit stating this guy is a scam and to block his #.
well the next morning AUG 7 he emailed me asking for my phone # which I had already given him and was posted on ebay classified??? he stated he would send money that day, I replied back stating that and I numbered it as he had done to me and told him he would have to give me his Phone # also that his guys would not be able to pick anything up until I had check and it was caSHED & THAT HE OR HIS GOON'S i MEAN GUYS WHERE NOT TO COME TO MY HOME BUT i WOULD MEET HIM SOMEWHERE LOCAL.I did not here from him again...I gave it awhile and sent him one more text with a kink to the page stating he was a scam artist...So Watch out for this guy. The phone # he gave me was 402-913-0435 also I went through my phone and unscrambled a texy recieved by him that number is from new york and is 315 497 7530.
I dont know this guys angle but will be looking into it as I have relatives that work for the government. Will track this A** down.

they answered a local ebay ad saying they wanted to send me a money order and have someone pick it up
