I got a call from 3155083160. Similar to others it is a scam call. I sent an email to phishing@irs.gov reporting this number.

Got a message from 315-508-3160, identified himself as Officer Adam George, same as all the other comments, very threatening tone, same script as others have commented. I was sure it was a scam. No intention of returning the call.

I also got this call on our voice mail in Austin Texas. Please continue reporting this, as it is an obvious scam/inappropriate call and we all want to be sure that no person is taken in by this -- especially someone vulnerable or elderly.
Does anyone know who or how one reports something like this?

Got the same call....twice! IT was obviously pre-recorded. Don't fall for it. He's an idiot if he thinks he can pull a fast one.

I got a call today from the same number 315-508-3160 but it went to my voice mail. After I heard the message, I immediately figured that it is a SCAM. Then I checked on google and found out that there are other people who also got a call from the same Adam George. IRS won't threaten you like this. For that matter nobody talks like that except collection agencies.
You can do one or all of the following:
- Report it to IRS
- If you are in donot call list, report it to them
- Spread about this SCAM call among your friends and relatives

I got the same message from 315-508-3160 from an "Adam George" who claimed to be from the IRS. His harassing tone was the first clue that it was a scam and glad to see it verified here. Thank you Bryan posting!

Received a call from a gentleman by the name of Adam George stating he is an officer from the "irs" , he harassed my mother and said inappropriate things to her that were offensive . I googled the number and came across this site , I called the number back and Adam answered immediately I asked him why was he making pony calls and pretending to be the irs , he asked me if I liked porn and would I be his valentine I hung up ..... If this is a scam , what kinda scam !!!!!!

I got call a phone call (a pre-recorded message) which asked me to call this number and claimed to be from the IRS. This is of course NOT a call from the IRS, this phone number is NOT an IRS number. See what others have written about this phone number. This is a poorly done SCAM, but I am afraid it will fool some people, which is why I am putting this message here! Do NOT call this number (315-508-3160) This is almost certainly somebody phishing for info and a SCAMMER!!!

This is the e-mail that I sent to the IRS in reference to my voice mail that I received:
To whom it may concern:
Today, at 11:43 eastern time I received a phone call from a person claiming to be an "officer" from the IRS. The "officer" stated that I need to contact him back or have my attorney call him back "or else." The "officer" name was Adam George and was very threatening in nature saying if I did not return the call or have me attorney return the call the "situation will unfold on me."
I have checked and can not find much information on your website in relation to bogus phone calls. I did find this e-mail address to report things like this. The "officer" had a very strong accent that I do not recognize and also referred to himself as "officer."
In the event that anybody at the IRS is attempting to contact me, do let me know. I would assume that the contact would be of a better nature than this "officer" exhibited on my voicemail. Being a police officer myself, I do not scare easy and will report this to the local media so that others may be aware of it and not fall into a trap of a possible scam if this is what is being portrayed.
Thanks for your time!!
