Centennial Law Offices that post for debt relief or phone harassment all over the web, is actually another scam. Now the thing to do is to do a scam regarding the scam....

This comment from NV is likely part of the mass spam campaign pursued through much of 2010 by Centennial Law in Ventura, desperate to drive traffic to one of its several sloppy web sites.

This is another in that class of mercenary law firms which preys upon the fears of alleged debtors about as badly as the collectors. They do nothing which consumers cannot do for themselves at a much lower cost and far more wisely. My report from July 2011 is linked below.

A man named David Smith told me I was being sued from his company unless I paid the 30,000.00 ASAP.

The company is called LLC Law Firm

Have received several calls from a "Eric Carver" who represents a "LLC." told me if I didn't calll back all he could do was wish me good luck. I did call back & he said I took out a payday loan & never paid a cent. He also asked me what I would do tomorrow when court officers and police came to take me away in handcuffs!

These calls are a scam that is been going on for months. First they use to be in LA, Calf. now they are in NY.  You should file a complaint with the FBI. THat is what I did.

These people have gotten their hands on my information and now they call me constantly.
I know it is a scam from when they said they were in LA, and now they are in NY.
I called the real Law Firm LLC in LA ans spoke to a very nice man who told me to close my bank acct
because it was a scam and these people have acquired my personal information. Also that I should run a TRW.  SO DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!!

I received two calls in two days from this number...says they are looking for somebody Mohammed...
and that the call must be returned...OR ELSE...same name and MO as other ..i did try to call the number and it does not go through...it comes in as unknown on my caller id...

A man named Marcus than a "supervisor" named Charles Green told me my case has been turned over to the local authorities and I will be arrested tomorrow.
Each time I ask to give me any information, he hangs up on me.
Each person I spoke to in the office has HEAVY Middle-Eastern (Indian) accents.  They told me that I am a criminal and I will be arrested tomorrow.
My boss called them back for me and they said have her get an attorney. Than he said I need to stop calling and harrassing them.
Something is VERY WRONG here and I have filed a complaint on them.

The same crap happened to me today, they have been calling my job looking for me, i know i owe money but dont be telling me that it is out of your hands and i will be summonsed tomorrow and if i dont pay 1500 plus 299 to stop the case from going to court, they will come to my job and arrest me. So basically saying i have to pay them almost 1900. Court fees and if i get arrested would be about 5400 dollars. The same name Charles Green from llc law firm and someone name Melissa Smith and they all have heavy accents. When i returned the call today and they asked me what was the # they called to get me. I should have realized something there, then they asked me for my name..... I said how come if you have my address i never received anything in the mail from the company? people...there is 15 states where a payday loan is illegal if you borrowed monies from them and your one of the states where the payday loan is illegal all you have to do is pay back the principal not the interest and there isn't a thing they can do about it,,of course they will lie to you but as long as you know the law they will accept the original amount of the loan and i would pay the loan company not a sleazy company like Marjorie works for...if they say to you if you knew it was illegal for a payday loan why did you borrow the monies...then you say i didn't know i just found out yesterday that it was illegal for you to operate in my state....
just go to ask.com type in what states are illegal for a payday loan and see if you live in one of those states and you will save a lot of money..

I am 16 yrs old and you can take a loan out till your 18 and I get calls I laugh at them.

Considering the multiple civil law suits you have had this year, I would make sure that you really don't owe this guy. According the court records you have been sued for the lack of payment on credit cards such as Target. You probably deserve to be in jail.

He threatened me and I had my boss call him back. Than he told him to stop calling and harassing them. My boss told me not to worry and if they do come and "arrest" me than we would handle it then. But he said that will NEVER happen.

Received a call from this number threatening to call my job and ask for me to be terminated because I had an outstanding loan that they couldn't give me the date of.  Said that tomorrow I would be arrested and needed to go before a judge.  Left a number of 315-532-6038.  Called it back and someone with an accent from India was very very rude.  Called me from an area code in Minnesota as well as Sacramento, CA

Just received a call from Jacob MArtin with a THICK Indian accent...hmmm first sign right there that the call was a scam....second sign is I received the same exact call in December and once I told them I reported this to the police the number was disconnected by the next day!

VERY threatening....thick, Indian accent. threatened that i was going to be served a supeona from a court in New York & arrested from a payday loan that i took out YEARS ago & paid back...  If I didn't adhere to this phone call, I was going to be put in the paper, basically blackballed thru my SSN of finding a job in the future.
If I was the scary type, I might have fallen for it.  It was the SAME script that I've read about in previous posts.  I kept asking him to send me a fax & at 1st he said ok but as I kept asking for a hard copy, he started yelling at me like i was 5 years old....

TODAY May 12,2010 I got a call from this (315) 532-6038 and guy name Jeff Johnson with this crazy foreign accent, telling me to call them because it is sensitive or either have my Attorney call.  I got the same call here at my job last year and just concerned how in the world are these idiots getting our information.

I received three calls on my job from these people.   A Jacob Martin called.   I called them back and told them to stop harrassing me.    He said he was with the LLP Law Office new york.   He said money had been deposited into my account and it wasn't.

They need to be stopped.

Hello everyone!!  Whoever these dirt bags are, contacted me yesterday at work and demanded me to have the name of my attorney and their phone number.  I asked them for their company name and their phone number, to which I called back a couple of minutes later.  Both parties had a very pretend Indian type of accent and read to me that if I didn't respond, that they would have me arrested.  I told them that since I was at work, I would call them the next day (Tuesday 11May).  Meanwhile I entered their phone number into Google Search and found a slew of people that had been contacted by the same people, saying the exact same thing to me as they did to them.  
On Tuesday, 11May2010, from 8:30am till noon, I tried to call them and all I got was either dead air or the phone just kept ringing and ringing.  After giving up, I received a phone call around 1:35pm, these people calling me again asking why didn't I call.  I told them I had tried to call and if this is supposed to be a law office why were their phones not working for almost 5 hours?  The guy responded with "Our phone lines have been down".  Question, why would he ask me "Why didn't I call" if he knew the phone lines had been down, if that's really the case. HHMMM???

After telling him where he could go and hung up.  He called back yelling stating that he's going to get me fired, to which I hung up.  I called my manager right away to inform him and between the time I hung up with this piece of work and the time I got my manager on the phone, he had already called my work and making threats.   My boss just brushed it off and told me not to worry about it.  I contacted KCPD and left a message of an office or detective to call me back regarding this.  

DON'T FALL FOR IT!!  YOU WORK HARD FOR YOUR MONEY, DON'T LET SOMEONE INTIMIDATE YOU INTO YOU GIVING YOUR MONEY TO THEM!

You likely applied online for one of those payday loans!! Naturally to get the loan you have to have all your pertinent information to secure the loan. I have applied before but have always paid them in full and yet I still receive the calls. I believe they prey on people who get the loans and don't pay them back and don't even remember who they borrowed from and are willing to send them money to stop the phone calls.

I received a call from a man named Charles Green from this number saying I would be arrested at 11 am tomorrow morning if I didn't give him my attorney's name in regards to "a case pending" against me.
I laughed at him saying that there is nothing "pending" against me and "why would I need an attorney."
He got very hostile and said that he would send a fax to my boss's attention that they terminate my employement imediately.
What is this place that's calling me at work and why do they have the last four digits of my SSN?
Some one please take care of this scam.

I received a call at my work by Charles Green saying basically the same thing. And that they were going to send a fax to my boss's attention to have me terminated if I didn't give him my attorney's information and my home address.

Hi,  it sounds like the basic scam.  I talked with a friend of mine and she is going through the same thing, But,  if this is a scam to get my info,  im 3we8 and still do not pay anything on line. Nor do banking'  old school italian way and not lazy and smart go to the bank.  After reading all these comments what a scam.  Not only that,  how dare these people have the right to upset these innocent individuals,  who may be working up their credit scores buying a house and working  and keeping bills in tact. The phone number she was called upon was 315-532-6038.  My friend was told the same old story,  u must call as soon as possible,  or u will have to go to court.  She tried to contact the individual.   Wrong number.  I have had this happen in the past.  I find the best way to deal with bill collectors.  right on.  Ask" who am I speaking with?  What is your name and contact number?  Who is your supperviser if i have any other quesjtions   They will eventually hang up.

Just received a call from this same number. He called me at work and his name was Paul Smith but I could barely understand him. He threatened me and then told me if I didn't return his phone call than "God can only help you".

Just got another call and this time I called the number back and they had all my info as I applied for an online payday loan. They say I owe money to one and that they are trying to collect. Well I know for a fact that I do not owe any payday loans at this time so it's definitely a scam. Some people have numerous outstanding payday loans and don't remember who they borrowed from so they end up sending these people monies to get them off their backs when they don't even know who they are representing.
