Just adding to the list... Received a voice mail stating that there would be a warrant issued for my arrest soon for a complaint issued about me. Not sure what her name was or where she was calling from. She had a strong middle eastern accent and I could hear lots of other people talking in the background. What a scam!!!!

This is scam, if anyone recently applied for a cash advance type loan, these people are calling to try and confirm your information so that they can scam you for your money. These people have a really thick accent and claim to be calling from a federal office and that there are allegations against you for fraud. How funny, I just laughed and told him that this call was fraud, he then yells back, "you are going to be arrested." Hahaha, too funny, these people need to be reported, and need to get a real job! What a bunch of ignorant scam artist! The number that they call from is 315- 604-3000. Please report them to the Better Business Bureau, they need to be stopped! Oh yeah, this guy had a thick Indian accent, but his name was Roy Wilson.... wth really, name doesnt even match his accent, soooo stuuupid! These people need to get a life!

a man with a thick indian accent called and said my social security number and said the were gonna take legal actions. I didnt let hime finish i told him that the police were contacted and to stop these calls and hung up...

called me at home, said he was officer ruiz, had my address, bank account number and ss number, said several thing in a very heavy accent and said I WAS BEING INVESTIGATED for internet fraud and several other offenses, when I asked him to repeat whar he was saying he became very rude, i told him i was calling my bank, he told me i was going to be arrested!!! Note:call was from Auburn NY

Called me at work and left a message with a co-worker. Want me to call back. Said they were a legal office (male voice discribed as India).

I just posted the above complaint.  By the way, he said his name was James Harvey.

I received a phone call this morning at work from Auburn, NY (315) 604-3000 saying that he was with the Better Business Bureau and they had received a legal complaint from CashNet Advance that I had not paid a debt in the amount of $369.32.  He did have the last four digits of my SS# as well as the name of my bank.  He only had my first name and my email address.  He asked me if I was willing to pay the debt before I was taken to court.  I told him that I didn't have any unpaid debts, that I didn't owe anybody any money.  He said that he would call back in an hour with more information, like when I took out the loan and how much the initial loan was for.  He hasn't called back, so then I looked here on the internet and found out it was a scam.  They are not getting any of my money!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Gto a phone call from this number today at work.  The guy said his name was Officer Scott Tender.  I didn't talk to him personally but was given his name and number by one of my coworkers.  This isn't the first time I've been scammed

I got a message from ?James Tyler? from NYPD, sounded more like osama abu in Pakistan, these criminals are such sad sack f****ng foreignors, they need to get real jobs

Got a call from a man speaking in a very bad middle east accent claiming to be James Garner , also a couple of days before he was calling under the name of Scott Wilson looking for a co worker using terrible english and I don't mean vulgar just not understandable , he left me a voicemail saying that if I did not return his call legal action would be taken against me he said his name was officer Scott Wilson with the New Orleans police depart I told him I did'nt care if he was Santa Claus with a four foot long beard and he was with the North pole department , his english then became very unidentifiable I hung up the phone LOL SCAM !!!!!!

Has left 2 Messages on my phone. (cell) He said his name was "Officer" James Sawyer....His English was so bad I had to listen to the voicemail several times to get everything he was saying. He threatened me that within 48 hours a warrant for my arrest would be taken out.

2nd Voicemail worse than the first. Could hardly understand what he was saying. But this one he reported to be from United Investigations Bureau "partnered" by the FBI also claimed his name was "Officer" James Sawyer. Claimed that he wanted to settle this out of court. And if I could not afford an attorney that one would be appointed for me.

DON'T BE FOOLED!! I could hear the other telemarketers in the background. He is clearly a call center not in the US. If you do a search the number is Huston, Texas VIA "transferable" phone number.

This is a scam.  I asked the guy for a badge number and he gave me a 3 digit number.  I said "Thank you.  Now may I have your CPD number".  He stumbled and became confused and asked me why did I want his cpd number.  I said so I could verify his law enforcement credentials.  He hung up.  I called back and he wouldn't answer.  I kept calling and he finally picked up and tried to tell me I was calling his personal phone and he had no idea who I was.

When I told him I traced his call back to Auburn New York, he hung up again.  SCAM!!!!!!
FYI ...there is no such thing as a CPD number.....

This number called me today. Telling me they are not responsible to what's going to happen to me at my work or place of residence.... If I don't call the back... WTH does that mean?

I recieved a call on my cell phone 315-604-3000. I denied the call due to now knowing who it was. I recieved a voicemail message stating his name was jack taylor & that I had opened an account in 4/2012 & that I have not paid my dept & that the company was presuing legal action.

The "Jack" guy kept putting me on hold. I asked his is he was in the states or an outside county then he hangs up the phone. I then call back stating that the call was disconnected. I ask again if he was calling from the usa & he gets rude & tells me I need to hire a lawyer.

first of all. I know i'm not the best person with credit, but I havent even had a credit acount/credit card in the past 4 years or so. so this is really concerning that he's claiming that I opened an account.

Called my job saying they were from theNY PD when I returned to phone call because my husband works for the pd and I was scared it ws a local cellphone. I have no idea why they are calling.

Just a little note.... Officer Eric Williams... Stutter for your next sentence... This is a scam.. I applied for online payday for 200 but you offered 400.. I declined your offer.. Now they are calling from everywhere. Your not the better business buraeu or not a police officer and since when can you sue my social security number... Oh and by the way we speak english here how bout you... Guess what?  i am not going to a lawyer and am handling this. You wont be able to call again oh and noone can see this warning till its to late cuz nowhere will anyone see any of these number until they  go for a online loan and sorry i didnt even except it. they called before i was even finished reading the rules... Man with a thick accent called looking for one of our workers stating his name was Officer James Corner and it was in regards to a complaint filed against his name and social security number.

Left a message saying there was a lawsuit placed against my social security number. He had an accent, and said he was calling from the better business bureau, LOL, since when does the bbb call you about lawsuits, clearly he doesn't know that we have a company with that name in the US.  Anyway, I've gotten calls like this before, they may have all your info but its a scam. If you are being sued you will receive something in the mail or be served in person by an official officer.

We also received a call from this number and a very rude man with an accent got very belligerent with us here in our office.  Then he started calling over and over again getting vulgar with us and then just kept calling and calling and calling and hanging up.
