No - if you tell them to stop calling your number - they must stop calling, otherwise, they are liable for fines, just like other scofflaws.  However, being that many scammers are calling, people may want to invest in a call blocker, or see if their phone has a block feature on it.

Unfortunately this is a call from a Charity Organization and is exempt from the do not call list

Got a call from the same number and SC SO FB.  I just signed up for do not call or I would report this # to the registry.  The fine is up to $10,000 for anyone who makes a call to you if you are listed on the DNC.  Next time I will turn this number in.

They left no message and the name on it was SC SO FB.     Too many annoying calls..
