SCAM ALERT they call saying you card has been deactivated and want you to give then your card number

I got the same msg

I like to sign the number up on other websites so they receive telemarketing calls back.

Dang it I pressed 1 but then hung up

this number called me today 4/18/14 stating need my account # to reactivate my account.  The location of the number on my caller ID came up Greenwood, Indiana

Just got a call from this morning saying my debit card was deactivated.  When I called back the message on phone didn't say it was a company.  This is a scam.  Looks like the scammers have been lying low for a while with this number but are at it again.  

Funny how the name of the institution never is told.

They're phishing for you account info. They are criminals. They don't give a damn about the do not call list. I'm on the do not call list too and also got a call from them.

Got a call from this number telling me my debit card has been suspended and that I should press one to be connected to the call center to fix the problem. If I had followed those instructions they would then ask me for my card info and dinged my account for as much money as possible before my dumb a** knew what hit me.

Got a call from this # saying my credit card was suspended. Would like to press charges as am on the do not call list and don't have a credit card.

The people calling me are crazy to not pick your phone.  They have alot of time on there hands :-(

Automated call to cell phone and I was not available to answer.  Since I am in process of a home sale and a home purchase, financing, home owners insurance, appraisals, etc....I called this number back thinking it was from one of these type agencies.  No answer....just rings and rings.  So I came to this site and researched this number.  Yep, yet another scammer on my cell phone.  Only now it is 2014.  These people must be recycling their burner phones.   LOL

Just called from this number on my mobile phone, advising that my debit card had been deactivated.  Immediately hung up, as my cell # isn't on record with my bank.  SCAM!

I received a call from this number on my government issued cell phone.  It is illegal for businesses to contact federal employees on government phones.  The caller stated that my debit card had expired and told me to enter the account number.  This is obviously a phishing call to steal an individual's ID.   I will report this to our federal ISO.  

Got a call today from this number it is April 17, 2014.  Why is this scam still out there?  This number should be deactivated.

Just got a call 30 mins back. What was good that they did not say what bank..and just asked to punch in16 digits.. that did it for them!! I've reported that # already

Calling to let me know that my debit card had been deactivated.  Scammers trying to steel your information.

I just received a call from this number at 6:33 EDT. The woman's voice said "your Debit is has just been suspended, and if you want to reverse it", just push the number 1. It all happened so fast. I did not push the number, and I hung up. I did however try to call back the number to find out who was doing this, and there was another I think (recorded message), and I just hung up.

Rec'd this call on my cell today. (I do not give out this #)  I answered only because I was expecting a different call & was told a debit card was suspended.  I hung up immediately & did not press 1.  Since my phone provider is no help, are there any ideas out there to curb this.  Happened to me with a different caller over a period of time recently, which is also reported on this website.  I will follow my own advice & let voice mail pick up any unknowns from here on in.  Thanks for your help.

I received an automated call as well, from this number telling me that my debit card has been suspended.  No name of institution, so I knew it was a scam, but can't someone put a stop to this?

The bank send a letter advising us about some credit cards that were misused, They advised that we will be receiving a new card, to discard the old one as soon as we receive it. Three days later, I received mine first. Two hours after receiving and activating it, I received a called from this number. I went online and checked that they are trying to get your personal information, I erased the number, and my husband received the same call, after I received mine. I wish there is a way to get this immoral people.  

They called my wife on her work phone and she was smart enough to hang up. Once she gave me the number, I blocked my id and called them at this number. Generic message greeting. I left a not so nice message with idle threats. My question is if this behavior is so well documented and the intent of the scam is commit grand larceny and fraud, how have they been able to continue doing this for at least 3 years (based on this thread)? Why hasn't law enforcement shut this operation down by now? That does not instill much in the way of confidence.

This is a scam to steal your banking information.  Do not answer or call back.  If you do answer, do not give them any info, but rather screw with their heads and waste their time.  I recommend a hillbilly accent and talk them in circles of you have time to kill and are so inclined

This is a scam to steal your money.  They don't care that you are on the "Do Not Call List".  Do not give them any info.

This was a robot calling saying my bank w is suspended

They're at it again. Computer-generated call last night, said my debit card had been cancelled to return the call at their 24-hr call center for help in re-activating the card.  No name no nothing.  Yeah right, as if.  I can only assume they intended identity theft.

They just called my cell phone which is listed on the do not call list...I never answer a call from a number I don't know.  I punched the number into search on the internet and figured this is what I would find...a scam!!!
