Recieved a text message that states "customer issue, california credit union service frozen.  please call at 317 222 1112."  Obtained an accurate phone number for this credit union online, and spoke to representative who confirmed that this is a "phishing" or "smishing" text.  Not from this credit union.  Recived another text on a different phone with call back number as 206 529 4843.  Appears to be identical scam.  Also related to phone number 480 717 4914.  All are fraudulent attempts to obtain personal info.  Texts recieved on sprint-nextel phones with caller/sender as 9099.

My husband and I have both been receiving texts from 206 529 4843 - "california credit union service frozen" - with instructions to call.  The caller ID is the same as in the previous comment,

just got the same one on my sprint phone with caller id 9099. the call back number is 248-547-3189

I got a text on my Sprint phone stating, " customer issue, california credit union service frozen. please call 317 22 1112"  I know this is a scam because my bank/credit union would not have a reason to freeze my account.  If there were any problem they would call me on my lan line phone and send a letter verifying our conversation and the issue in question.  Just another scam

This is the second time I received the text...made me nervous for a second too as I bank with a credit union. call back number tonight was972-548-7269. Seems to me somebody got all Sprint phone numbers since we all seem to use Sprint

Yep I recieved the same text. But ive never had an account with that bank before so I came to google to see if anyone else has had this problem well i fell better know lol. I wish people would find something better to do with there tech knowledge.

I've recently received three text messages from this number.  Each time it's about a different account that's supposedly frozen. Of course, I don't actually have accounts with any of these companies. I've texted back and said that I'll report them if they don't stop.  It hasn't stopped!

They sent me a text message saying my American Express card was frozen. I found it strange because I don't have that card. The next week I got an other text saying my California Credit Union account was frozen I have that bank. When I called from a blocked number they automated voice asked me for my credit card number. I then hung up the phone. Who are they

I've received 2 text messages -- one to call the 317-222-1112 number, the other on the 14th, also purporting to be about a CACU account (frozen debit card), from sqwgsb@t-moblie.com.

Annoying, since supposedly those text messages should have been blocked.  I also have a Sprint phone.

I suspected it might be a scam.

"F" Loosers wanted my card number. I am a credit union member and I wouldn't give 'em the number.

I got the same message 4 hours ago.  I got the stupid text message right when I arrived at a Christmas concert.  Made me nervous while at the concert because I do bank with a credit union.  I went to my credit union's website when I got home.  They posted a security alert about fraudulent text messages.  The alert stated, "Your Credit Union does not send text messages requesting verification of information. The message is likely being generated from a scam artist. If you receive such a message, please disregard it."  Reading your posts just further confirmed that it was a scam.  Merry Christmas.

Wife got the same message tonight.   Figured was a scam and deleted the message.

once again some LOSERS found a way to try to get people to VOLUNTEER information. BEWARE....I called Sprint (my cell provider) and they told me THIS IS A SCAM!!!!! I wish we could find these idiots and go soooooooo Soprano on them and make an example out of these good for nothing a***s so other scam artists could see what they are in for....Merry Christmas

Just got a text saying the same thing when I called the number it was a recording asking for my account number.

i got the same thing and my phone isn't even supposed to accept text messages. i have them blocked
