SKAM!!!! This is completely against Google Policy / Misleading and dishonest. I called them and let them know that I am a Google Certified Partner and my Company has been in business for 5 years. Opting out does nothing. I get these calls all the time. I have reported to Do-Not-Call and that does no good. I just got a call a few minutes ago.

Just called my Cell, left a message that they wanted to put me on the front page of Google. Another SEO rip off scam. I'm aleready in the top 1-5 on any related keywords for my business and I do it myself.

Caller said he was from Google saying they could put my business number one in Google searches. Caller ID said "Protection Center". Other posts show these calls to be selling home security which makes more sense than Google. Perhaps they got their scripts mixed up. Asked to press 1 for more info or 2 to be removed from calling list.

Called my home phone trying to sell me a front page Google placement for my ad.  I'm not a business.  Opted out by pushing 2.

Received call at 8:30 on a Sunday evening - I heard him on my answering machine and thought it was a live caller, but when I tried to pick up and talk, he kept going on....seemed to be a recording. Then, he left the 800 number, which was out of order when I called.  Very suspicious.

I received a call from this number and the person left a message saying he had a great opportunity to increase my ranking on google, yahoo and bing. Doubt I'll be returning the call....

I got the same phone call. I  pressed the number 2 and hung up immediately. I got to thinking maybe I should have just layed the phone down because I remembered hearing scams like this were possible to charge your phone bill. I hope I don't get charged. I will try to notify authorities and if possible Google. It was the same number  (317)222-3028

Funny, but they seem to have changed horses. Called about a "special in your area" to sell guaranteed number 1 placement on Google, Bing, and Yahoo. What a con!  Since we offer SEO services, I wish now I'd talked to a real person so I could mess with them. Maybe they'll call back and I'll get my shot. Plus their caller ID said Protection Srvcs. What a bunch of dumb***es to associate that caller ID for the type of "service" they are selling.

Left a message on my business phone saying his name is "John Davis" and call him back at 800-219-5405. Says Google, Bing and Yahoo have "spots available on the front page." THIS IS A SCAM. Search engines do not sell page one spots, nor do they allocate "spots." Any "SEO expert" claiming otherwise is selling a false promise.

Called my office.  The caller ID showed "Protection Ctr".  Thinking it was a solicitation, I answered it with "hello" instead of my business name.  The guy instantly said he was with Google and had a few spots to fill.  He said it was a rare opportunity...blah blah... I hung up.

Yes---same here. I got the same call, offering a top spot on Google, Bing and Yahoo. I just hung up. It felt like a scam, and from what I"m reading from others, it is.

Received call last night on business phone. Message mentioned caller was J...P...from Google. Call back number is 800-229-2690.
