Do not call list is a joke. I get sometimes up to 10 calls a day from these scammers and others. Too many charity calls also. I answer none of them! They leave no messages and do not identify themselves. And yes, they do call cell phones.

I just got a call from this number for the first time today. Funny that just yesterday I entered my phone number on 2 different, what I thought to be reputable, mortgage company websites inquiring about becoming prequalified for a loan.

Telemarketers are supposed to delete numbers on the do not call list from their system but many do not because it is not enforced.

I called it back it was obvious it was a robo-caller of some kind, but it did give me the option of being put on a do not call list, but this might have been a trick, since I am already on the national do-not-call list. Tele-marketers should be hunted down and imprisoned. A use for Guantanamo Bay that we could all support...spammers too and those guys that caused the fiscal collapse and my mail carrier and...

Automated message about trying to sell me a new home security system. At the end of the message, the automated voice asked me to press 1 to hear more details or press 9 to be placed on their do not call list.

And yet another number spewing alarm system offers. Just hang up on it when they call, asking to be taken off their list won't help, because they're not honest business people.
