USED to get a lot of calls from this number and another similar who claimed to be from Windows. Changed my message to answer only and it said: "Hello. You have reached the Windows help desk. If your computer is sending error messages, press 1. If you computer has a virus, press 2. If you are calling to scam someone, press 3." I received one more call from each of the offending numbers. They since have stopped calling. Hmmm, I wonder why...?

I received a call on my work cell phone from a woman with a thick indian accent telling me that she was from Windows and that my PC was sending them viruses and she wanted to confirm my IPO address.  I told her that I would take her name and contact information and that I was going to have our IT Security officer contact her to follow up, and freely gave me the info and to please have them call her ASAP as that the viruses were filling up their memory and were causing crashes.  When our IT officer failed to call her she called me four more times but did not leave a message.  This was a month or so ago.  Now I got a new missed call from her today....

I just got a call from them, a woman with an Indian accent. She claimed that they were from the computer support department of my computer and I had a virus and needed to go to my computer. I told her that was crap, it's spam, where did she think I worked and she said I don't know. She asked if XXX@XXX.com was my email address and she couldn't even say it correctly. I said that I was calling the Better Business Bureau and reporting their phone number, and hung up.

I git a missed call from that number. Next time they call I'll answer and let them know I know. Then they won't call back.

get these calls everyday. I told them I have a mac and they still call.

I don't know if you are one of the scammers or if you have been scammed.  I know that infected computers do not send messages announcing that they are infected.  Anyone who calls you and tells you otherwise is a scammer.

My neighbor fell for it.  I found out about a month later when she told me how much better her computer was running.  I told her its a scam and she took her tower to a local computer repair place.  They discovered that the scammer had turned off her anti-malware.  There was no evidence of any other damage.  My neighbor changed all of her bank accounts and replaced her tower - better safe than sorry.  I suspect that the scammer was using my neighbor's computer to run DDoS attacks and send-out spam.

Hi guys i was facing some problem with my computer i was wondering what to do then one day i received one call from this number 3174499927 they told me that my company is receiving some danger messages from my ip address and i was so worried about that. that fellow showed me the viruses and messages i was shocked when i saw these thing from my own eyes
those people assured me that they gonna give me services for life time...
As per my knowledge the company is good SAM teletec is one the company who receives the mail from the ip address  to the globle server  I appreciate  that they are doing good job because they gave me  good services my computer is fine now  which i liked very much  

Just got this same call from 3174499927.  Lady sounded to be like from India.  I feigned ignorance as I did a reverse lookup on the phone.  She wanted me to go to www.teamviewer.com.  Googled that too.  She sounded urgent and persistent that I was downloading tons of viruses.  I only had my Ipad, Kindle Fire and 1 pc on at the time.  Not sure how she got my number because she never called me by name.  I asked where she was and she gave me some song and dance and I asked her why her number showed up as VoIP in Indianapolis.  She said she was using Skype.  She wanted me to let her help me "fix" the viruses.  I told her I had a contract with the Geek Squad and I would contact them for assistance and thanked her for her concern.  She sounded really dejected when I did not fall for her BS.

getting calls from this number 317-449-9927 have not left a messge from readin on the computer its a scam operation claiming to be with windows I would like them to be put on a do not call list, they called at 730 am this morning

Someone calls about every day at the same time -- calls have been occurring for over 3 months.  Reports that my computer needs service because it is running too slow (and my computer is actually not even plugged in !!).  One time the person became very argumentative.  Most times, there is a hang up when I say that they have reached a business (which is true).  Nuisance...I've asked to be taken off their list many times -- never happens.

I received a call from 317-449-9927 when I said "hello" there was silence then an auto tone voice said "good-bye" then nothing. Called ID said the # was out of Indianapolis, In.

Received a call from "technical department of windows" telling me I had a virus on my computer.  Had a difficult to understand accent.  Same caller called back a few minutes later and put his supervisor on who wasn't much better.  Claimed they were from Sam Teletek in Bloomington Ind. and that my computer was spamming their servers.  They kept arguing as I was rather obnoxious telling them they were just spammers and I was just trying to waste their time so they couldn't call others.  Sounds of a boiler room operation were loud in the background.

I keep getting the same calls. I told them i was not home and they asked when i would be so they could call back. They have called 5 times in the last hour. I wont pick because when i first talk to them they wouldnt give me any info about who they were just that they know something is wrong with my computer and they fix windows. They didnt know my name or anything else, so i asked how are you calling about fixing a computer when you dont know who you're suppose to be talking to. I heard people in the background it didnt sound professional at all and i couldnt understand what they were saying.

I just got a phone call about 10 minutes ago.  I have no intentions of giving anyone any information over the phone, ever, unless I call them and I have already checked out it is legit.  This is the 4th phone call now that I have gotten from them and I just keep adding to my black list of numbers.  They said it was from Windows and that I have a virus in my computer.  To get to my computer right away so that they can walk me through it.  I told them I am not home.  So they offered to call me back Monday.  I also told them that I have a different emergency number for my important items and that since this is not the number that she is calling she is full of BS.  ha ha ha ha  It has come to the point that I have to have various numbers and emails for each thing to protect myself and my family from these scammers.

They keep calling my number and I can barely even hear them.

I have also  been receiving calls from these people and they are harassing me calling me all day today. I'm glad I looked up the number because I almost fell for there billshit

I had a man call me saying there was a virus on my computer and he needed my IP address and other information from my computer. I told him if this was the case my Norton program would have told me and that I knew he was running a scam. He claimed it was not a scam. I then hung up with him. He then called me back again requesting I give him this information. I again told him I did not ask windows to call me for any reason. I then told him to take me off his list. I then called the police about the caller so it would be known about this scam. They told me if they call again to call 911 and report it and they will turn the case over to the FBI. I can't believe these people!!!

received a call from this number claiming they were with Windows and that they can tell I am having a problem with my computer.  When I asked them if they represented Microsoft they claimed Microsoft had nothing to do with Windows so I hung up.
