Lugar's campaign...ah no.  Neither candidate is perfect...at least Mr. Murdock is versed on the Constitution and history.  Get's my vote!

Strange.  Received a call from 317-550-1990. Caller asked to speak to me by name.
I replied, "speaking".  Then the caller immediately hung up without saying another word.
Curious?  Don't be; should you call the number, you reach a Lugar campaign line directing you to go see his website.
Moral of story:  Given the number of comments, looks like Lugar madness is working, at least to get people to call this "hotline" to nobody.

I just had a call ,  but did not answer.   Glad to see it was from Dick Lugar.   I will have to answer next time and tell them why I WON'T vote for him.

Unfortunately the politicians are exempt from the "Do Not Call" Registry.  If it is from the Lugar campaign well, Dick Lugar only remembers where he is from about once every 6 years when he is up for re-election.  I sure hope enough Hoosiers are as fed up with him as I am!  It's time for him to be retired and to have to live a few years under the miserable laws he has helped to pass and live under the judges he has helped to put into our court system.  I'm voting for Richard Murdock!

Sorry, but that is just plain wrong!  Most of the US House and US Senate have at least modest homes in which they come back to during recesses.  "Powerful"?  What good is so called power when most of the time we Hoosiers had a difficult time telling Lugar from a Damn-o-crat?  Lugar only remembers where he is from about once every 6 years when he is up for re-election.  I sure hope enough Hoosiers are as fed up with him as I am!  It's time for him to be retired and to have to live a few years under the miserable laws he has helped to pass and live under the judges he has helped to put into our court system.  As far as "biofuels" look at it with a common sense brain that the good Lord gave you!  You eat corn.  You don't try to make it into gasoline.  It costs more energy to produce than you reap out of it!  We have more crude oil and natural gas within our borders than we can imagine!  There is no shortage of either.  If you want a great 30 minute lecture on our energy policy which will really open your eyes go to: http://www.newt.org/news/newt-2012-announces- ... merican-energy/

Generally, Washington politicians maintain an address where they officially live. Sometimes it's a house, sometimes it is an apartment, sometimes a hotel room. Richard Lugar maintains such an address. The problem is that he sold that house in 1977. The people that currently own it have no relationship with him and have always wondered why they keep getting his mail.

If he wanted to, he could change his registration to the farm in which he is a part owner. He has chosen not to, for whatever reason. Instead he is using an obscure section of the Indiana Constitution that says that you can't lose residency in Indiana if you are away on the business of the United States. Until recently nobody wanted to go through the exercise to force him to adopt a real Indiana address because it was so easy to fix on his part. The Mourdock campaign is doing it because it highlights the "out of touch" tag they're rightfully putting on him

ALL THE US Senators live in the DC area!! NONE OF THEM actually "live" in home states anymore!  Do you expect them to "cummute" to DC every week?  DUH!  He OWN 600+ acres in Marion county with corn and soybean fields!!  Lugar is the one of the MOST POWERFUL senators in DC!   If we get some newcomer, Indiana would lose any power we might need for our state!!  Lugar is a fair man who votes his conscience for the legislation, not a political party! He's the leader of the Foreign Relations Committe and very powerful on the Agriculture Commitee! Senator Lugar initiated a biofuels research program to help decrease U.S. dependency on foreign oil.  And you want some new kid???

I've met Mourdock too, several times.  He's a very good man and should represent Indiana well starting in 2013.

Political Call
Just got the Lugar call.  I told the lady the one and only issue which will drive my vote is which candidate believes "advice and consent " has any meaning.  She then asked which candidate I'll vote for in May.  I told her that I knew Mourdock's opinion on Advice and Consent (I've spoken to the man more than once about this), so maybe she could tell me Lugar's opinion on the matter.  She didn't know.

She also told me Lugar is in fact a resident of Indiana, and that the Charlie White case was very different.  I asked if that's because Charlie White at least still owned the house he used for his voter registration, and that's when she hung up.

It was fun.  I hope they call back.

I keep getting calls from 317 550-1990 when you answer it  the call goes dead.  I've been told its from someone calling for Dick Lugar.  If I get anymore of them I WON'T BE VOTING FOR DICK LUGAR ,I don't think it's necessary to call people.  I think the mess the country is in I, for one, won't be voting to RELECT anybody.

Political Call
Calling with 2 question survey from a Lugar campaign volunteer:

1. Which is most important when deciding which Senate candidate gets my vote? Taxes, jobs, debt, etc.
2. Will I vote for Liberal Lugar or Richard Mourdock is November?

I would rather spend a week shaving Elena Kagen's back hair and putting suntan lotion on Sonia Sotomayor's booty on an Italian cruise ship than vote for Lugar. I've met Mourdock. He's the real deal and won't fold up like a lawn chair when pressed on conservative issues.

It's Dick Lugar's lame campaign for re-election.  That guy doesn't even live in Indiana anymore and he's calling us to vote for him again for Senate.  He should be using a 202 area code!
