You guys obviously don't know the telefundraising laws. If it's for a non-profit, the Do-Not-List doesn't apply. Jeez. Just answer and tell them no nicely. The nicer you are, the more likely they are to oblige.

I am on the no call list and I just got this call.

Yeas ago I got a call from the FOP for a donation. I said no, I do not give any donation to phone callers. He asked if he could send literature. I said fine but nothing over the phone.

The literature I got was a bill!!!!!  Latter I got collection notices for the donation!!!!!

Need I say more!

The DO NOT CALL LIST does not apply to Surveys or Charities

IF these people ar somehow considered a charity they can and will call

I am on the DNC list and still get calls all the time from the FOP and others becuase they are considered charities!

At 1:41 pm on a Sunday (!), June 20, 2010, received a call from 317-592-9704 labeled IN ST FOP on caller id, which I assume is Indiana State Fraternal Order of Police (or at least someone pretending to be them, since FOP is the standard abbreviation). I didn't answer the phone. I checked online and see that Indiana State FOP is expanding their fundraising activities big time, so maybe it was actually them but seems counterproductive to call on Sundays. Saw an article about them going adding 100 more employees at the Muncie call center this year.  It's an Indianapolis number, though, and I don't know if the Indiana State FOP has an Indy call center.

4-7-2011  there have been 10 calls from this number this morning starting at 1:27am through now 4:17am.  I am sick, sick, sick of it.  Is there nothing I can do to remove my number?  I am already on the do not call register, so that looks like it's working.  Sorry to be cynical but it is 4.20am and I've not had much slip!  What are my rights?  Who can I complain to?  How can I stop these calls.  Bye the way they have also happend daily over the past 10 days at random times during the day.  How far will these people go?

We get this call several times a day.  Dead air, never anyone on the other line.  Today they called at 8:30.  My wife was trying to sleep.  I'm getting more than annoyed.  This has been going on for months.

The caller was unable (or unwilling) to tell me the percent of each donation that actually went to the organization thay were collecting for.  In addition, they told me that my 'donation' would not be tax deductible.

If any organization wants me to make a donation, then it must be tax deductible and most of my contribution must go to the charity.

I've giving money in the past, thinking it was going to highway patrolmens families whose father or mother was killed in the line of duty. Today, I googled the number and have learned I've been duped in the name of the law. What irony. We don't have much money, but I thought we were doing a good thing. I don't know how people could be so wicked.

I get a phone call from this number EVERY SINGLE DAY, sometimes two or three times a day.  When somebody on the line actually SAYS something, I tell them to please stop calling me.  Usually I'll say "hello" and I get no response, just dead air on the other end.  I'm sick to death of  IN ST FOP (that's what's on the caller ID when they call) calling me everyday.  In fact, the phone should be ringing soon....

I got a call today.  When I picked up it was silence.  So I called  back the number.  You get a voice mail saying they called on behalf of Donor's Support, a non profit organization.  Sorry that they missed your call they will call back at a later time.  And that the mail box is full.
You can't claim this on the do not call list.  Becuase there is excpetions to who can call you.  And this is one of the phone calls that you can get.  You just have to tell them when they call not to cal you and to take you off there list.

I keep getting phone calls from this phone number 317-592-9704 at least 2-3 times a day everyday of the week.  I stopped answering the phone after I spoke to them several times and told them that I was unemployed and did not have any money to donate.  They continue to call everyday.  I had already registered with the national do not call registry earlier this 2010 year.  I continue to get solicitation phone calls.

If you don't won't them to call you anymore then register with the National Do Not Call Registry - their website is www.donotcall.gov  this site will help you with receiving calls from telemarketers and etc but it does take 31 days to get on the list after you have registered.
This is what the website states if the telemarketers, etc keep calling you after you have been registered - - A consumer who receives a telemarketing call despite being on the registry will be able to file a complaint with the FTC, either online or by calling a toll-free number. Violators could be fined up to $16,000 per incident.

It's worth registering - these companies don't want to be fined.

Augh!!! I get phone calls from these people 3-4 times daily 7 days a week!!!! I got so fed up with it this evening that I sent an email to the ACTUAL Indiana State FOP and said they needed to do something about it.  I doubt anything will happen but you know, it made me feel better to vent.  I mean come on, they call anywhere from 10 am up until 9pm and it could be dinner time, bath time, bed time, LIFE... good grief. Don't they get the hint after you don't pick up the first 44,843 you don't answer? Anyways, good luck to you all out there! :)

Dont worry folks, these folk aren't cops and there jobs are coming to an end. I just cant wait to see what they say when we take their houses and cars and leave them taking the bus to unemployment. They like to fashion themselves after mafioso but in reality they are nothing more then mariposa. LOL

Tell me when it sinks in that your way of life is over. You all use Mitch Golds techniques while he took 8 years in prison. I dont justify what he did, but I think you should get double that. He at least had the good sense to flee the business when he saw the handwriting on the wall.

It always amazes me that when we go after one of these groups that no matter how bleak the future looks for this industry, they just keep right on chugging along. That was before we got here and now it is game over. We are not like the government, we know what you are doing, and how you are doing it. You might escape their hunting and pecking style of investigation, but that is not how we operate. We go right for the jugular and the reason is, we put the jugular into the design of what you are doing. LOL Its the same thing when a computer guy puts a back door to a program in a computer system. Its a trick of the trade and since all of you doing this now, have now idea where that door is. all we have to do is press a button and down you all go, its the humpty dumpty button. It was placed in the design of what you are doing so if it ever turned on us, we could shut it off.

Bet none of you thought we did that, huh. Well bad news boys, you made us mad and now we are taking our toy and leaving. You have ruined enough people lives. LOL You think you run your companies? Only for as long as we let you.

Someday soon, all you so called professional fundraisers are going to learn how to do your job legally. I cant believe you did not get shut down when they closed Civic Development Group or your other scam the Police Protective Fund.

Feel free to contact us when you have quit qorking in that industry, I am sure we can find something for all of you to do. We will train you how to be a better fundraiser. It will be a tough transition at first and it will be painful, but it is going to happen so you might as well sign up to be a teacher at Badge Fraud University where you will meet all of our members and be deprogrammed and taught to bust charity frauds like this one below. We wont charge you for your education, but we wont pay you either, all of you owe a huge debt to society.

Citizens of the United States, you have just been called by a potentially fraudulent fundraiser, Call your local police department and tell them that this scam is CURRENTLY happening to your neighbors. Call the local media, newspapers, tv stations even the pennysaver so they can warn everyone who did not read this board. The con men count on you not following through. You have to follow through this time, so you can help protect all the people they are calling that were not curious enough to google the phone number.

Give us 5 minutes of your time and a few well placed phone calls and you can stop this scam before it takes root in your community. It is the most charitable thing you can do, and it wont cost you a dime. 5 minutes of your time now will save your kids of having to deal with this again every year for the next 20 years like the Country has had to deal with already under the banner of the American Association of Police Officers from these exact same people. 5 minutes is all we ask, well that and for you to be as detailed in your tips as possible. It allows us to track all the phone numbers the types of fake groups use to scam you. Our database is around 1200 phone lines now and it will go up to around 10,000 in the near future. It allows us to find them as soon as they make the first fraudulent call and one of you searches 800notes.

The Supreme Court never said lying was protected speech, if they had have, we would have had to evaluate their fitness to be sitting on the Supreme Court.

If you just did not lie, you could do this legally and keep as much as 99% of the money, but you have chosen to lie, so you cant do this anymore.
http://www.charitywatch.org/hottopics/vietnow.html

We believe very deeply in the 14th Amendment equal application of law, such as, if you commit the same crime that a court has told another man is illegal, you are going to get the same treatment, it is a protection, but we are utilizing it on you as a weapon. How do you like the irony of that? Your very existence is offensive to the United States Constitution

Courts all across this land have said with one voice that the techniques Mitch Gold employed and you are using are illegal. They were illegal for Mitch Gold to use and they are illegal for David Keezer and Scott Pacsh to use, they were illegal for Duane Kolve to use and they are illegal for you to use.

You have chosen not to abide the laws we have all agreed to abide by, you have chosen to disrespect and circumvent the lawful orders of lawful Courts.

Since you wont listen to the Courts, we bet you will listen to us.

Watch out the Fraudulent Fundraising Tactics of Mitch Gold have returned for yet one more round of taking the money you try to give to the families of officers killed in the line of duty

In other words

Do NOT give this group anything and pick up the phone and call your local police and sheriff department so they can issue a warning to your neighbors so they dont get ripped off either

No kidding, they count on you to not report them thinking its no big deal, but it is a big deal, it is a very big deal as millions of dollars a year are being taken from the families of officers killed in the line of duty.

http://www.pfcl.org/Badge_Fraud_Videos.html

They must be stopped, tell your neighbors and friends and co workers that this scam is happening in your community, email them the links above so they can know it is happening and defend themselves from being conned in the name of officers killed in the line of duty
