This random number keeps calling me i have no clue who it is nor do i care who it is i want this number reported and turned off especially if its fake and a scam

How does a phone number request your friendship on Facebook?

They keep calling and at all different times. I dont answer at all because I know Sallie Mae isnt the one doing it.It is a scam...they try to get your ss# and stuff....be rude to them and hang up..they are not Sallie Mae

This is supposed to be a student loan collection. I don't even own student loans

This number keeps calling.  Sometimes multiple times in an hour within minutes of the last call.  They never leave a message.

I had a friend that stayed with me while he was unemployed and he had student loans. He is gone now and I have sent letters and told them on the phone that he no longer lives here but these jerks still call constantly.

I got a call from this number today.  The guy told me I owed $467 on my Sallie Account that is past due.  I told him I am on academic deferment right now and there is no way my loans are behind.  He said sometimes they don't have the same information online as he does on the screen.  Then he rambled off some crazy address and asked if it was mine and I said I had never lived there.  He said he would offer me a forbearance for 4 months on my loan and that I will receive an email confirming soon.  I have yet to receive any email.  He told me I could start repaying my loans in November.  They even had a recording with terms and conditions for the forbearance.  I tried arguing with him but didn't get anywhere.  It was crazy!  My husband called them back and it went straight to a guy named Brad.  

This number is a scam number. They pretend to be Sallie Mae and even have a recording before you get connected to an "agent". I was connected to Matthew and he asked me for my account and Social Security number. Once I said that I don't have an account he hung upon me. Do not give them any information at all

They have been calling from this number for weeks now. I finally called back and heard a recording stating that they are Sallie Mae. I then was connected to an agent immediately who identified himself as Matthew. He asked for my account and Social Security Number. That'swhen I figured out it's a scam. Do not give them any information. I told him we do not have an account and he hung up on me. I then called back and again was connecte immediately to a girl named Erica. She asked me for the same thing. Then I explained that we do not have an account and to please stop calling us. She said it was taken care of and was about to hang up when I asked her what the number is she listed as "no longer call" and I stumped her. I am on the phone with the real Sallie Mae to report the number with them.

I get calls at 7am from this number. Or they call when my child is trying to take a nap. SO ANNOYING. If you have a mobile, just save this number and do a custom ringtone for it, like silent. That is what I did.

Absolute scam.  Don't answer unless you want to be robbed.  My call blocker lets me block over 1000 numbers and all their separate numbers will end up being blocked.

This number has been calling me for weeks, two or three times a day. I didn't think it was Sallie Mae, as I have asked Sallie Mae to contact me only via email, and that's what they've done, so far. So I just haven't answered the phone to this number, but I finally looked it up today and, seeing now that is a scam, I'm really glad I haven't ever answered.

This number calls 6 to 8 times a day and hangs up with out saying a word.  Have reported them to proper authorities and we are on the no call list.  It's very annoying to say the least.

I get this one also on my new cell phone. I never had a Sallie mae loan; my loans are paid off. Frustrating! Every time I block the number, they call with a new one. I have a pay as you go phone, so I'm trying to avoid calling them, using up a ton of minutes to get a human and explain that they have the wrong person.

Number has called me 5 days in a row. Answered it this past time, just silence on the other end.

Sally Mae education. loan company. I do not have an education loan now or ever.

PS....go as far as to contact all 3 credit bureaus and put a fraud alert on your credit report. File a report with your states attorney general office. Let these identity thieves know we have had enough. Its time to take a stand!!!!!! So many of us are paying our student loans and doing our very best.

this is a total scam call them back let them know you are on to them report them and add your phone number to the do not call list beware this is a scammmmm.

I get so many unsolicited calls any more, so I just found out that I could type the number in and try to find out who is calling so much. I don't answer anything that I don't know so it is just annoying mostly

They keep calling me. I just called them back and the beginning message says that they are sallie mae and that this call may be recorded. How could people get away with this if it is fake?!!! Also, how do they even have our info stating that we have money owed to sallie mae is what I want to know.

Sally Mae.  I've asked them to stop calling.  They are calling for someone else.  I've emailed them asking them to stop calling, sent messages on twitter, reported to donotcall.gov and still they call all the time and I cannot get them to stop calling me.

I get at least 35 calls per day just from THIS number. i usually get another 30 or 35 calls per day from a different number that is also Sallie Mae. I have repeatedly explained to these people that I don't habeas ANY income to speak of but they don't seem to care. Not to mention the fact that they blatantly violate debt collection fair practices act. Once a debt collector reaches the person whose name is on the account and they actually speak with that person they are NOT allowed to call that person for a minimum of 7 days. I can't tell you how many times I have spoken with Sallie Mae to explain my situation just to have them turn around and call me several more times that same day. The pattern of consas if I had never spoken to them.tant calls resumes

Its a debt collector for Sallie Mae.. Your account is now in default and they are wanting you to pay a lumpsum at one time..

SALLIE MAE. OMG they will call you all day, on Sundays, early in the morning.....really whenever. I'm like I'm unemployed and I can't pay this bill, but they will keep calling to check on your employment status to see when you can pay it. Ugh! Like my job search isn't already stressful.

They keep calling my phone and I won't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  I sure am glad I punched it in to find out who they are.

They called me again today, 12/17/2012.  I missed the call.  I called them back and spoke to a representative, mentioned how many times they've called me and that I've asked them twice already to remove me from their system.  She (Spoke with Crystal) asked me for my number that they've been calling me on and while she was doing that, I asked her for their address so I can send a cease and desist letter.  Seeing as they didn't remove me the first two times, I wanted to have a written copy, I told her that.

She didn't understand what I was asking, so I told her that I wanted the address as to where her office is located so I can send a cease and desist letter.  She told me the number has been removed from their system now.  I'll find out soon if she's telling the truth, though I doubt it.
