we continue to receive calls from the number (317-808-5520), that is identified as "DEFENDER" on our caller ID. We called today to discover it is for Protect Your Home, an authorized ADT representative; we spoke with a rep named Andy and requested that we be taken off their call list. Andy assured it would be taken care of.  Let's see!

My wife called ADT to get prices for their home security services. After getting some of the info she wanted she thanked them but then the conversation turned and they started to put the pressure on for her to let them come to our house to give an assement. She repeated that she was not interested in purchasing anything that day or commiting to someone coming to our home yet for the assessment. The pressure built until she finally realized their tactics were not being professional and asked them to remove the info she had provided them about our home. The ADT rep passed her to their manager who continued the high pressure tactics. After much pursuation she got the manager to assure that her info was removed and assure that their company would not call or contact our home. Since that time we have started to get numerous calls from the number above and nobody answers when we answer and they do not leave messages when we don't answer. I finally called back the number and found that it is a number for ADT. The number rings through to a woman on the line who claims she doesn't know why they are calling us and was clearly backtracking trying to cover her own tracks. The crazy part was that we made the first call to the company and were actually interested in their service up to the point where they started to apply the unprofessional sales pressure. We are hoping the calls stop but are not optomistic.
