The first time NRS called me, they called me at work and told me that because I was a manager, I qualified for free magazine subscriptions for 2 years. Not knowing it was a nightmare of a scam, I gave them my information. Several hundred dollars later, I had finally paid off the *shipping* charges and they started calling again to renew. I now have been harassed by them for almost 8 years. The first few times, I made the mistake of answering the phone when they called. No matter what I said, they did not want to cancel my subscription and kept telling me it was free. They are really sneaky in their wording and if they have an active card on file, they will use it to renew your subscription. The last time, I changed my card. A lady called and started asking me questions about what I liked and what my hobbies were. I knew what it was and answered her questions patiently. For each question I answered, she gave me a list of magazines that they would send to me. I remained silent, not saying ok or yes at these points. Eventually (45 minutes later) she said she was going to arrange for those magazines to be shipped to me and that because I was a valued member, they were free. I waited for her to get to the point where she said I merely needed to pay for shipping and the amount. I told her I could not afford it. She said that they had flexible payments. I told her I still could not afford it. She then asked about my different bills. When I told her that my car payment was $620 a month, she asked if I had wrecked or stolen cars before. I told her that it was because of my credit and I was trying to pay off my debt and I could not afford magazines. She kept pushing and I kept saying no. After about 25 minutes of her pushing and me saying I could not afford it, I found out why she kept pushing. They did not have an active card on file for me. Since she was not taking no for an answer, I told her that I did not have my cards on me because I was at work. She kept pushing and to get her off the phone, I asked her to call back then next day. She told me that she could only make me the offer that day. I told her she could call back later. I have since avoided any call that is not from a contact in my cell phone. It is impossible to get these people off the phone and they refuse to take no for an answer. I would rather just hang up on them than try to negotiate with them to leave me alone. It will never happen.

My advice, ignore any calls that you do not know. If you have been scammed by them before, arrange to cancel your card and get a new number. If you are currently paying on a subscription, you should still cancel your card and get a new number, then when they call or send you a notice that you are behind on payment, you can request a pay-off amount, pay it, and cancel the service or you will be in a never ending cycle of scams with them. They do not respect do not call lists, the answer no, or the legalities of you not agreeing to renew your subscription. They manipulate the conversation to get an affirmative response that they can use against you. They also call from several different numbers with several different area codes. If you don't know the number, don't answer. Then google the number and you can almost always figure out who is calling and then block that number. If it is important and not a telemarketer or NRS, the person will leave a voicemail for you to call them back.

Here is my question... Why do I need a service that charges me about $68 a month for subscription that I buy $12 a $24 A YEAR each?!?! I mean I am no brainiac but I am not Forrest Gump either!
USA or NRS (whoever they pretend to be each time) should remove me when I ask (and I do every six month for the last six years) instead of harassing me. Randy called me and when I politely declined he called me a c*nt and told me to f*^k myself! I was at work and was so upset that this person called me on my cell (how they got the number, I'll never know because I don't give it out to anyone ever) that I suffered a heart attack and thank goodness I was ok but I am an older lady and work part time just so I stay active. I never treat anyone with disrespect but I am harassed by this company 4/6 day every six weeks. I had cancel my cell phone and now if something happens I don't have it. I have lost my more than they realize because due to these calls I now suffer with health issues and I am scared to answer my home phone in case it is Randy and I will get yelled at again.
Shame on a business that intimidates people like that. What little faith I had left for society is crumbling.

This jackhole has harassed me since 2006. After hitting a brick wall with every available option to get them to stop calling, I finally found out who this idiot is (see address above)
Ray (or supposedly someone who works there that sounds exactly the same) calls himself Randy.
I feel like if they wanna keep bothering me and ruining my day then by God I will do the same. I was nice in the beginning but after six years I am finished being nice!
If this jackhole calls you all I can say is welcome to hell....

I got a call from this number this morning on my cell phone. When I tried to call back, I got a busy signal. The second time I called back, it just rang and rang. I'm assuming it's telemarketers.

You've heard of scumbags...well this company makes me think...SCAMBAGS!!

They called me at work and then on my cell phone.  I do NOT answer "restricted" phone calls or phone calls that I don't recognize the number of.

BE VERY AWARE of these "less than desirable" scambags!!

I work for a very professional distinguished office, and I happened to answer the phone when NRS called.  I have never heard anyone so nasty.  One thing they need to realize is, you never know who is answering the phone.  I wasn't going to let this man intimidate me or any of my coworkers.  What a jerk.  He was very unprofessional, and treated me like I was a low-rate citizen.  To Everyone receiving their calls: Be as nasty to them as they are to you....make sure they're having a bad, bad, day, especially after talking to you. Soc it to 'em!

I feel bad for you, because they are not honest or good.
I never called NRS they called me and I am on a "Do not call List" which I was told I didn't have to update, but I am updating periodically from now on. I don't want to deal with your company anymore. They are theives and in today economy they should be ashamed of themselves. My job is going away my husband has been on unemployment for over a year.
My dealings with your company have not been pleasant and from what I have read from others who have had dealings with your company their experience hasn't been fun or cheap.
Wake up.

I was called by these people and was apologize to by these people for magazine I was supposedly suppose to be getting. I Told I was all paid up with them and that to my knowledge I owe them nothing.
He told me that was only paid for two years and that I was due again but they had a deal going on and I qualified. I listened to what he had to say but I never said "Yes" to anything, and I was never told it was a new subscription. When I was ask to verify something I said "hahuh".
I never once knew I was making a new subscription. They said they couldn't get payment from my info and they asked for new payment info. I like an idiot did so but when I got home I looked up the info on the magazines I was getting and realized I had cancelled the service and made payment of 4 hundred and something to pay up for one year. My husband said our subscription finally ran out.
NRS had already taken payment for an order I didn't really owe on. So I call my card company and they cancelled the card for me and reissued me a new card.
The info they were suppose to send took ovet a month to arrive, as a matter of fact it arrived three days after they called me to try to collect what they said was payment for NEW subscription. I told I never authorized a NEW subscription I thought I was clearing up an old one. I told I just found out it is already paid in full there for I cancelled my card, because I didn't have the info to call back to tell them I wanted it cancelled.
They told me I couldn't cancel, I told them I most certainly could and that I don't have to continue something I don't want, need or can afford. They said I could make a payment of (some outragious amount)to cancel. I told I already did that once. They said this was new account, I told them they told it was a continued account. I told them the conversation was over, they said they have me on a recording I told I know, I also know that recording can be edited, I work in the broadcast industry so I know. So their recording means nothing.
I am now in the process of reporting them to the Attorney General of my State, the Better Business Bureau, and the FBI.
I found these people are a scam, they bilk people into these orders and then don't allow them to cancel out.
I don't answer phones calls with no caller ID or with a number I don't recognized.
I have as of this writing seven different phones numbers that have called me, with no caller ID, that I have researched to find out that they are NRS numbers.
Be VERY AWARE of THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE A SCAM. Once they get you to give them your credit info for payment they will not let you go.
Three months later I start getting magazines I never read nor would ever buy.
THIS COMPANY IS RUTHLESS.
