Got an incoming call at 1:43, mountain time.
A message was left but it only caught the last end of an automated answer.
Was a bit concerned until I read these posts.
Glad I didn't have the phone by my bed...

Called at 5:29 am...did not leave message...Monroe, Louisiana
| Bobbie 2012-02-07 10:44:44 Unknown |
My phone rang at 1:44am!!!
My immediate thought is "something BAD has happened to someone!"
So you can imagine, when I answer & hear an automated message regarding my credit card...I went from "scared to death" to "so angry I wanted to kill someone" in 2 seconds flat!!!!!!
I know the call is bogus, since i don't have credit cards, so i hang up.
What the hell is wrong with these people? I mean really?! 2:00 AM!?!

I received a call as the other people did below.I did not answer because I did not recognize the number. They left me a message stating my card was locked. I tried to get a live person but after waiting for 5 mins I decided to google this phone number. I am glad this site exists.
Thanks for the posts!

Received a call to my cell phone telling me my Grow Financial debit card was locked. Interesting since I don't have a Grow Financial account. I also have my cell phone on the Do Not Call list. So much for the do not call list.

Received the call today and did as others have, didn't answer and the VM said to contact their security department. Hilarious since I actually work in the security division for a major financial services company and know better than to fall for this.

I got a call from this number saying it was Grow financial, which is where I bank. I freaked out because I needed gas asap so I "confirmed" my debit card number and they took money from me! Thankfully my bank reimbursed me. I just got another call from them this morning and definitely hung up fast! Don't fall for this scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I receivle a call from 3185259100 saying they were Space Coast Credit Union. A female automated voice advised my debit card had been reported as lost. Press 1 to reactivate. I pressed 1 putting in my card #and card expiration date. I was then asked to enter my pin # to complete reactivation. I entered the pin incorrectly and it was verified. Like others, when I called the number back, I learned it to be Familytel with no live agents.

Got a call saying my Grow financial debit card was reported lost and to press 1 to reactive it. 1. I don't have a Grow Financial debit card 2. Do they really think I am that dumb?

Received a call from this number at 7am in the morning. Did not answer the call, because I do not know anyone from this area.
I am surprised to get calls from unwanted caller, especially since my cell is on a do not call list.
How does this happen???

Receive a call from this number with the same message - that my visa debit card had been locked. Glad I looked into it and found this site, as I do bank with Wells Fargo. I'm planning on calling Wells Fargo to alert them of the situation.

I got this call tonight, but I never answer cell calls from unknown callers. They left no message. Thanks to all of you who posted here. What a bunch of hooey anyway, these scammers!

They just called me on my cell phone too, about twenty minutes ago. But it was a Robo Call. I have Verizon - HOW DID THEY GET MY CELL NUMBER? I want to call the police in Louisiana and report this. We ALL should call the police, I say.
| Pal 2011-11-23 23:13:12 Unknown |
I just got a robo call from this number purporting to be "GE Money" and saying that my "Debit Card is frozen." They called my cell phone. I pressed "1" as instructed and was told to "enter your 16 digit account number." I called GE Money and they told me that I have no debit account with them, and that the two accounts I do have with them are problem free. This is obviously fraudulent. When I tried to call this number back directly, the place called itself "Family Tel, powered by DBI." I pressed "1" again and it said "Your number is not in our system. Goodbye."
DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY KIND OF INFORMATION. PERIOD. FRAUDSTERS!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone indicating that my Visa card had been lost or locked and to reactive press 1. I pressed 1 and then had a weird telephone ring and was again asked to press 1 to reactive or press 2 to end the call. Obviously, I ended the call. Does anyone know if they may have gotten any information from my cell phone without my permission by pressing the number 1 initially?

I received this scam on my cell phone, i don't appreciate them using my cell minutes.
I am sure they keep changing phone numbers, so the only way to stop them is for EVERYONE to hang up on them.

Received a call to my cellular phone from this number stating my GE Money Card was locked. I do not have a GE money card. I pressed the option to "unlock" the account and it asked for me to enter my 16 digit card number. At that point I hung up. I've called this number and it says this is company Familytell and to please hold. It plays music indefinately....

I received the same call about a locked VISA and tried to return the call to the 318-325-9100 number with no answer. Familytel's webpage gave their customer service number as 877-725-9100. I called them to let them know their name was being used in an obvious scam. I was told it would be reported to the "higher-ups". There didn't seem to be any surprise or request for additional information. I repeated that I wanted them to know this was happening and their name was being used. Again, same reaction. I tried.

Got this call at 6:40 am Sunday morning. Not too happy about that. I leave my phone on in case family or friends have an emergency and they need to get a hold of me. When a call comes in at that hour it's usually something bad. Family Tel....whatever that is. Typed one for English, then they said that my number wasn't registered or some nonsense like that; then why call me in the first place? Using my minutes pisses my wife off, she pays the cell bill. I'd watch out if i were you telescammers.
