I received the same call, but I don't have a Wells Fargo acct. I hope these pinheads get caught, Unfortunately, most financial crimes such as identity theft are not prosecuted the way they ought to be.
They get a slap on the wrist while we clean up the mess. Thank you for creating this site.

I got a call from these folks - out of Monroe, LA - stating that my debit card had been locked. Thankfully I had better sense & just hung up the phone, called my bank provider from an unrelated phone (they called on my cell & I called my bank from my work phone) just to check that my account was fine. They verified that everything was OK & I gave them this # as well.

Some automated voice just called and asked for my debit card number because according to them it's 'blocked'. Nope. I hung up.

Yesterday at 5:28 I rec'd a call on my cell stating my debit card had been put on lock due to an accounting problem...asked me to press 1...did so...then asked for my entire account number...hung up....I think these people should be located and put in jail....I will be in Louisiana next week and plan to look them up..as I am from Shreveport....

A recording said there was a problem with my debit card and they had deactivated it. To reactivate it, enter the 16-digit account number. Did not do that.

Apparently putting out Spam calls about blocked accounts, probably to try to gain access to those accounts.
