I got mine call today.
Do not call list means nothing to these low lifes.  They get excited to tell them you are on the list.  They think it as a big joke!
They use other call centers and "bounce" their call around.
Our government (nsa) should take note of this and stop its use.

THEY PEOPLE HARRASSED ME AND THREATENED ME! I FILED POLICE REPORT, FILED WITH THE FTC.

EVERYONE OF YOU NEEDS TO CALL 1-877382-4357 FTC AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE MORE PEOPLE WHO DO THIS THEY WILL HAVE TO DO SOMTHING TO STOP THIS!

I keep getting calls from this number and want them to stop...it shows they are located in Talluhlah, LA, I don't know anyone there.  When I pick up it hangs up.

I HAVE GOTTEN NUMEROUS CALLS FROM THIS PHONE NUMBER AND IT'S BECOMING A NUISANCE.  I NEVER ANSWERED IT BECAUSE IF IT'S IMPORTANT, THEY WOULD OF LEFT A MESSAGE.  WHY ISN'T THIS NUMBER BEING INVESTIGATED?  IT'S CLEARLY A SCAM.

Righting a blog on these #?s help many people. I for one no longer answer calls from #?s I don?t know. If it?s important they will leave a message.     But more importantly reporting these calls to the ? do not call ? is a waste of time. Call the FTC at 1-877-382-4357 there you can talk to a live person and report up to 5 numbers, or go on line to ftc.gov  ( federal trade commission) and file a complaint. If we ALL do this maybe it will get some attention.

This number has called me 5 times since April 2nd - jerks.  I am using a Call Blocker Ap now and I just add scam numbers to my blacklist and it goes right to voicemail and I have my voicemail set up basic - not mentioning my name and just leave a messege at the tone.

Hubby noticed something on the cell phone calls. If you do answer the call, (maybe because you are not sure if the call is truely for you), simply DON'T SAY ANYTHING for ten seconds.  At 8 seconds, if the call is one of those auto calls, they will hang up.  Puts a smile on my face as they lose the chance to irritate me.

But we already have won! When the drug-addicted card services scammers are sitting in their rows of seats in the calling centers, sweating profusely and shaking uncontrollably, trying to rip us off to support their disgusting habits, we're in our own homes, and all we have to do is not answer at all, or hang up on them. If they weren't such an annoying group of creatures we could have pity on them, and help them get into treatment, so they could rejoin the decent people of society.

Got a call at 9:00 p.m.  This is ridiculous.  How can they get away with calling at all hours of the day and night?  The recording said "Please don't hang up, then something about credit. UGH.  I thought due to the hour it was a friend or relative.  Just can't win!

I get anywhere from 4 to 10 calls a week from various numbers like this.  If the auto-dialer is working properly (i.e. doesn't hang up on me when I answer) and I choose to answer the call, I get a prerecorded message about reducing my credit card interest rates, telling me to press "1" to speak to a representative.  This one said they were from American Express, but claiming to be from a specific company is new, usually they just say "Card Services".  

I am very familiar with how these companies work, and know people who are in similar industries or have worked in this one.  

The ?sales? people that answer the call when you press "1" are commission-only.  Their only goal is for you to buy their service(s) and give them money so they can fill out some paperwork and push it down the line.  Whether or not their company can, or will do what they claim, is irrelevant to them.

They most likely pay a fee for every call they answer if it lasts longer than a specific amount of time (it varies, but is somewhere between 20 and 60 seconds).  So if you immediately say you want to be removed from their call list, they will hang up on you so that they are not charged for taking your call.  If you actually keep them on the line, pretending to be interested in whatever they're selling, and then finally ask to be removed from the list, regardless of their response, they have ZERO control over your number being removed from the database.  

They are just there to answer the phone, sell, and make money.  All they need is a computer, internet connection and a program that allows them to answer calls through their computer.  They can work from anywhere with a decent internet connection and none of them are actual employees of the company, but are essentially independent contractors.  

The bottom line is, answering the phone will not ever get you removed from the call list.

Now the a***oles are crossing the do not call after 9pm in the time zone rule. I have them on my Sh*t L*st contact w/no ring. All I got was the alert tht I missed a call.....do***ebags

You will probably have to kill them yourself because the law enforcement community doesn't care.  They are too busy stealing people's money, cars and drugs on the interstate.

Claimed they were from American Express card services, pressed one to get someone...a woman got on the phone, and I proceeded to ask how her see you next Tuesday was doing. She hung up right away.

Got numerous calls from these idiots.  I do not answer.  Judging from the comments above, it wasn't Rachel.  The last call I got from Card Holder Services was from Ann.  I asked her if Rachael got fired.

Recd numerous calls from this number stating  press 1 to speak to someone about lowering your credit card rate. I pressed 1 and a man  answered. I asked to have my number removed from the call list.
He said he would but had to ask a question.  He then began asking me very graphic perverted questions
I told him I was calling the police. I did. They said to contact the police and the ftc to register a
Complaint. I also had the numbe blocked.

I got rid of ALL THESE JERKS that want to steal my personal info. DIGITONE CALL BLOCKER 10 will block up to 80 numbers. It can block AREA CODES and automaticaly blocks Unknown and no number calls. Costs $99. but the phone will not even ring. PEACE AT LAST the do not call list isnt working on scammers.

I called the fbi in Louisianna because 318 474- 5828 is a louisianna number and also because when I called the fbi in NYC the guy was a jerk who answered the phone  who refused to help... would not listen to the story and just dismissed the whole thing.  Louisianna FBI was deffinately more helpful they gave me FTC.GOV phone number to file a complaint since do not call complaint list does not help. Call 877-382-4357 and he will take down all the info and open a case number.. probably the more cases the faster this will be fixed...

I have never had one cuss me out, but I have had several tell me I was sick, a psycho, and ask out right if I was threatening them. I just tell them they will find out when I see them.

I think that the next time they call me I will just start in with some very choice words that I can not post on  here.  This new number is the same area code where my family lives and all I saw was the 318 and answered it. Usually I just silence my phone. Tried to call back and play( the choice words part) but all I got was a recording that said the number you have called is unallocated.  Strange, it was the same voice as the call voice.  Hey, what are they going to do.  Turn me in for obscene speech.  Like to see them try that, then I can get them for harassment.

Just tell them you will blow their head off. If they threaten to call the cops, tell them you are recording the call and have the tape ready to hand over when the cops show up. These are criminals, and there is no such thing as a criminal victim.

I just saw that I had two missed calls from this number.  Guess I dodged a bullet with that.

This caller called and hung up, I called the number and it is not traceable. 4/9/2013 at 2003 hour 8:03 pm

That's right.You can block the one they're using today, but they'll come up with a new spoofed number tomorrow. But if you answer a few times and play along,wasting THEIR time with false information, your number WILL be removed from their robodialer list. Try it, it works!
