this call came from East Carroll Correctional in Lake Providence, LA to my mom that it upset. I did some research and found out that it's at the East Carroll Parish Sheriff's Office correctional facility. I called 318-559-2800(main sheriff's office number) to the Sheriff's Office and made a report and they are going to block my mom's phone number. We think the inmate's are getting this information from obit's and then calling info and getting numbers. But if you report it it is against the law to make harassing phone calls. They are very nice at the Sheriff's Office and confirmed it's a pay phone in their correctional facility and will block your number. Hope this helps others. Mine was not the first report to them this date.

i keep getting calls from this number 318-559-9652 and from 318-559-8164. its annoying, and my daughter accepted one of the calls, thinking it may have been a family member, God forbid, and the guy said things to her that she was embarrassed to repeat to me. i want this to stop.

Some man keeps calling me saying just press 0 or I love you just talk to me, or you dont have to be scared to talk to me. Baby you got my ding a ling hard.

I AM VERY AWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON... THE INMATES IN A FACILITY ACTUALLY HAVE ACCESS TO A PHONE BOOK AND IF THEY DON[T HAVE A PHONE BOOK THEY HAVE THIS PROCESS THAT THEY'VE INVENTED CALLED: THE LOTTERY. IT'S JUST AS IT SEEMS. THEY TAKE TURNS CALLING PEOPLE AND SAYING DIFFERENT THINGS IN THE PROMPT TO GET A PARTY TO PICK UP AND FROM THERE, THEY IMPROVISE. MOST FACILITIES HAVE INSTITUED A SYSTEM WHERE EACH INMATE HAS TO ENTER IN A UNIQUE ID TO USE THE PHONE SO, THESE CALLS ARE FROM LAKE PROVIDENCE, EAST CAROLL DETENTION CENTER AND CAN BE TRACKED! NORAMLLY THOUGH, LISTEN TO THE OPTIONS AND BLOCK FROM THE FACILTY AND THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CALL AGAIN!

I got this for two days. So I decided to accept the call. I asked the guy his name and he said Allen. I asked him where did he get my number from and he said some Party Line and I told him that I did not know anything about a party line and to stop calling here. He said that he would call me later on tonight. And that he did, I always stopped at press 1 to reject the call. When he called again, I decided to listen to all the options and there was an option if you wanted to block the call press six (I think). I pressed the number to block and I have not gotten anymore calls. The automated voice said that the call was from the county jail.

I have been getting these same calls every few days for a few weeks now.  Today my son answered the phone and accepted the charges.  I grabbed the phone from him in time to tell the inmate to stop calling because he had a wrong number.  The inmate then tells me he doesn't have the wrong number.  So I asked who he was looking for.  He tells me he doesn't know my name but can describe me.  VERY SCARY INDEED!!
I called the East Carroll Detention Center (318.559.0087) and spoke with the operator.  She said all I have to do is call the main office during office hours and have my number blocked.  So...do that.  And in the meantime make sure to record the dates and times of these calls.  This is ridiculous!!

Inmate John Nixon D-3 is constantly harrassing me through phone calls and mail. I do not wish to recieve money, mail, or phone calls from this person. He is a stalker and has been harassing me for many years.

I am constantly recieving phone calls from an ex boyfriend who I have pressed charges on several times. He is now at work release Lake Providence food center. His name is John Nixon and has access to a personal cell phone. He is constantly texting obscenities to me. He calls me private call all day long. When he gets back in the dorm he calls me with a calling card. Please make him stop! I am in the process of a restraining order because he is to be released in August and I am terrified for my life.

I received my first call last night at 1:30 a.m. Sounds like these prisoners have a lot more freedom than most teenagers.

I started receiving phone calls from this number on 7/13/2008 at 3:45am.  Why do prisoner's have access to phones at this time in the morning?  A phone call at 3:45am freaks me out!  I knew it wasn't someone I knew because they never said their name.  If someone I know ended up in prison, they would for sure say their name.

Unfortunately the BellSouth *60 Call Block service does not work for this phone number. I sent an email to the Sheriff at sheriff@ecsheriff.com to give notice of the event in writing. In the event that I get another call, I'll write back and provide my phone number and ask to have it blocked.

Well I'm glad I looked up this phone number on google. I just got my 1st call last night at 11:37PM. I didn't answer as I wasn't home, but I was checking Caller ID this morning and was afraid I had missed a call from my son. Thanks to all of you for posting and reporting this number. I'm going to put a block on the number right now.

the same thing is happening to me in the middle of the night. it is RIDICUOUS! my tax money going to pay for some CRIMINAL to HARRASS me from jail in the middle of the night. unbelievable. does anyone know what prison this is? i'd like to call someone there to complain. they should monitor the inmates more closely and they shouldn't have access to the phone in the middle of the night. i'm so aggravated.

the call came in around 1:45 am. collect. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. Please report these calls. It's disturbing the peace of my family and others.

I keep getting the same calls from a man named Derwin.....He called about 15 times and I finally accepted it because I thought maybe it was someone I knew. He said that he was looking for his brother and when I told him that he had the wrong number he continued to try to see if he could hook up with me once he got out. He said that he is calling from a "Halfway house in Houston" He has called about 20 more times since then. If he calls again, I am calling the police to see about pressing charges......

I'm also getting calls from this number saying it is a collect call.  Sometimes the person says a name or screams something like "you don't speak the truth and you're gutless".  I too would like these calls to stop

Keep getting call after call all hours of day and night from this number.  Recording says person is calling collect from prison facility. Each time it is a new name call me.  Can someone help?  I would like to stop the calls.  I am actually getting scared.  Thanks.
