This number always comes up as Iowa on my Caller ID. If it is actually a legitimate conpany then they should have the balls to put their real name on the Caller ID. If it says Toll-Free or Privacy Manager, then I just don't waste my time answering.

I got these calls a while ago and it was on the news, but they are back. Its been a week now and its usually the same time of day everyday....no answer and when I call back I get nothing

This number called, but when answered - no one answered back. If, as suggested via others, this is a "legit" call, why would it say IOWA and the caller ID?

Who ever it is, doesn't matter to me. I do not answer unknown, unavailable, private numbers, or otherwise unidentifiable callers. So they are just wasting their time. I get an awful lot of calls since I put my number on the national do not call list. I suppose they sell the numbers to telemarketers.

I just called.  They call me several times a day.  The guy that answered claims to be from the Kids Wish Foundation.

For the last couple of weeks I have been getting calls from 319-243-3033.  By the time I get to the phone the caller has hung up and never leaves a message, and always seems to call in the early evening.  It's very annoying.  I've tried to redial the # and it doesn't connect -- it rings for a bit and then all I get is a dial tone.  Don't these folks have something better to do?  I value my time and privacy and am tired of racing to the phone.

We've been getting calls from 319 243-3033 Cedar Falls, IA for weeks now. I thought they were political calls, because we've been getting a lot of those. Thanks to other posters, I now know it's the Kid's Wish number. I used to get calls from them all the time and I asked to be taken off their list. I guess they've started in again. The few times I did answer, no one was there. Now I just let the phone ring or pick up and immediately hang up. I'm going to check and see if we have the block feature on our phone. They call 2 or 3 times a day. Very annoying.

I just received a call from this number and they asked for my husband's first wife who passed away 5 years ago.  When I told them she had died they immediately hung up.

I also recived a call from this number and no one was there.  The caller ID just said IOWA

I got a call, tried to pick up, there was a click etc. like the rest of the complaints. If I get another call back I'm going to contact my local FBI white-collar crimes office. If this is a scam I'd be happy to help catch the jerks!

I just got a call from this number. Didnt make it to the phone in time. When I called back a few minutes later, I get a message saying Verizon wireless phone number has been disconnected. How in the world is it that they called and 10 minutes later, they are disconnected?

Somebody calls and does say anything and after a minute or two they hung up. Has happenend about six times in the past seven days.

the reason you hear nothing is that they are using automatic dialers...and there is a delay before you would hear a person

KIDS WISH NETWORK IS A REAL CHARITY THEY DO REAL WORK FOR THE KIDS THAT ARE SICK AND DYING.  THE CALLING SYSTEM THAT IS USED IS NOT THE MENT TO CAUSE AN ISSUE HOWEVER THEY ARE COMPUTERS THAT WE ARE DEALING WITH.  ALL THE NUMBERS THAT ARE CALLED ARE RECIEVED FROM VARIOUS PLACES LONG DISTANCE CARRIERS MOSTLY.  THAT NUMBER THAT IS ON THE CALLER ID IS A SHARED NUMBER NOT ONLY IS USED WHEN THE ORGANIZATION IS USING IT BUT OTHERS ARE USING IT AS WELL IT IS A UNIVERSAL NUMBER FROM WHAT WE ARE TOLD. YES THAT MIGHT BE TRUE HOWEVER THE CALLERS CAN NOT REMOVE THE NUMBERS IF THE NUMBER IS NOT VERIFIED BY THE PERSON ESPECIALLY IF YOU RETURNED THE CALL.  THE NUMBERS ARE COMPUTER GENERATED AND SOME TIMES THEY ARE WRONG NUMBERS BUT WHEN A CALL IS INBOUND THEN THE NUMBER MIGHT SHOW A CELL PHONE NUMBER AND NOT THE NUMBER THAT WAS CALLED SO WHAT HAPPENS IS THE PERSON IS CALLED THEY HANG UP ON THE CALLER MAD  THEN THEY CALL BACK USING THEIR CELL YELLING TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST THEN HANG UP. WELL I CAN REMOVE THE CELL BUT THE OTHER NUMBER IS STILL IN THE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE CALLER HUNG UP BEFOR GIVING THE OTHER NUMBER AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENS THE PERSON GETS CALLED BACK HE GETS MAD AND HANGS UP...HE CALLS BACK AGAIN YELLING I TOLD YOU STUPID PEOPLE TO TAKE ME OFF THE LIST THEN HANGS UP AGAIN BEFOR GIVING THE NUMBER... IF YOU CAN TAKE THE TIME AND TYPE A COMPLAINT ON THE COMPUTER THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK THE CHARITY UP AS WELL THEN SEE FOR YOURSELF.  MOST PEOPLE WANT TO COMPLAIN BUT IF IT WERE YOUR CHILD THAT WAS IN NEED THEN YOU WOULD NOT CARE WHAT TIME PEOPLE WERE CALLING AS LONG AS YOU WERE GETTING THE HELP THAT WAS NEEDED. I ACTUALLY WORK FOR A BUSINESS THAT CALLS FOR THE KIDS WISH NETWORK AND WITH THE COMPANY THAT I WORK FOR THE WAY THAT IT IS SET UP IS THAT ANY AMOUNT THAT IS OVER 100 THE WHOLE AMOUNT GOES TO THE CHILDREN AND GRANTING THE WISHES IF IT IS UNDER THEN YES IT IS DIVIDED UP.  I UNDERSTAND THAT MORE SHOULD ACTUALLY GO TO THE CHILDREN BUT NOTHING FROM NOTHING IS STILL NOTHING.  IF I GOT 20 FROM ALL OF THE PEOPLE THAT I TALKED TO ON ANY GIVEN DAY THINGS WOULD BE GREAT.   YOU GOT TO THINK THAT NO BUSINESS NO WERE OF ANY KIND CAN RUN ON NOTHING THE BILLS HAVE TO GET PAID SOME HOW AND YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO WORK FOR ANY COMPANY FOR FREE AND PEOPLE JUST

I just got this call, and I get this call at least every week or two from 319-243-3033 but when I pick up and say hello there is dead silence and then it disconnects. My caller ID says "Cedar Falls, IA" I've never to my recollection actually spoke to anyone from this number when they call.

multiple calls a day for 3 weeks now.  all hangups until today. some children's charity?  the lady started out by saying "lets be honest..you're a mother right? children die each year and we need your help!!"  seriously??  nice tactics.
