Why would it be the la times calling you from Iowa you morons.

I have been called 6-7 times in the last 3 days from number 319-432-7601.  Caller ID identifies caller as CBE GROUP.
So far I have just ignored the call and no message is left on my recording machine.  Some of the posts here say the
caller is the L.A. Times.  I live in Houston and have never subscribed to the L.A. Times.  I will continue to ignore the
calls and hope the caller will stop calling.

Sick of these calls.. All day long.. Why doesn't ATT charge them as much as regular consumer.. Then maybe they'd not call 1000 times a day... Sheesh!

I've been getting calls from this # for the last few days and they are even calling on Saturdays. I finally had enough and called them back. They said they were calling about a past due bill with Time Warner Cable. I've never had Time Warner Cable. They couldn't tell me when this bill is from. I live in the country and if anyone knows anything about that you either use a antenna with a converter box or you have satellite. Time Warner doesn't have service in the country.

keeps calling, but leaves no message.  When I answer it- it hangs up. friend says it's 'pfishing' for active numbers- if you answer it, then you are auto-added to a telemarketer list.  I answered the call a week ago (when it hung up on me) and have had several telemarketer calls since then.  Could be a coincidence, but definitely annoying!

I'm getting calls from this number and I live in Ohio!  Tried to answer once and no one was there.. so annoying.

I recently cancelled the LA Times and began getting calls from this number, so maybe that is who it is.

I kept receiving calls from 319-432-7596 even I canceled LA times months ago.  they never leaves messages. Even though I never answer their call it kind of bothers me. HOw to block it?

this number has been calling me for the past 2 weeks. at first it was 3 times a day and then it went to just once a day.. and at random hours. NEVER leaves a voicemail. I guess it could be LA times.. but I cancelled the subscription I signed up for during the OC FAIR a couple weeks ago...

Yes, the number is from LA Times who has instructed a company to call and try to get you to sign up again for the newpaper subscription.   You can report it to better business bureau.

Do yourself a favor, CANCEL you LA Times subscription right away and DO NOT let anyone you know ever subcribe.
They should change their name to DEFRAUD TIMES or something

Also, I called back that number and followed the prompt to have my number removed from that distribution list. They said my number would be removed within 2 business days. Lets see if that happens.
I also logged into my latimes account and changed my number. So this suckers should not be able to reach me. Its so sickening

I placed a one time 8 week delivery and paid for it. But they would keep billing me even though they NEVER delivered any paper after my 8-week. They call at all hours in the day and night. Threatening me with collection calls.
I called and emailed today regarding this. It was clear their call center was in India. But the supervisor, Lyn, said she would contact distribution and resolve this. I will call again tomorrow.
This FRAUD and not any different from a bank robbery. How dare anyone think they can just BILL, HARRASS and THREATEN me unless I make a  payment for a service/product that was NEVER delivered.
Apparently they have been doing this for a long time. We need to get a news channel to run a article on this and expose them for the fraudulent company they are!!!

Caller has called me 3 times a day for the past couple days.  Caller asks for someone who I don't even know I told them they have the wrong number yet they still continue to call.

I never ordered the paper but they keep calling me from different numbers claiming I owe them! I live in Cleveland Nd they saY it was from when I lived in California in February.... I moved here in December.... So screw em.

Wouldn't it make a nice little story in the LA Times to report that the LA Times subcontracts... excuse me- EXPORTS its subscription work to IOWA? (California unemployment being some of the highest in the nation.) I too had just cancelled my subscription due to three unresolved complaints.
I used to get frequent calls from them- same experience as everyone else... annoying. Especially given that I am on the (nearly useless) Do Not Call list also. Haven't heard from them for a while. Now they've started calling daily again. Funny... if the LA Times wanted (to keep) my business, you'd think they would have resolved my three complaints about my wet, bug-filled paper in the gutter at the end of my driveway??? Think I'll forward some of these comments (along with my own) to the LA Times, or better yet- their competitor (Press Enterprise or The Californian).
