receive a call from debt collection agency ADS anyone know anything about this company. the person first started off sying this callis to inform you that this debt is due to be place in my county court. She also told me I had until tomorrow to settle a debt of 1,700 dollars the person told me I could pay half for settlement or maybe borrow the money or pay 293.00 dollars a month for 8 months.I never heard of this company.

This number was used by a scammer to call me today who said she was from ADS Collections to collect $80 from a company that sold Acai Berry or Colon Cleanse.  I ordered an introductory product in 2009, paid for it, and cancelled subsequent orders.  She said I owed them $80 by the end of the phone call or they'd report it to the credit bureaus.

Don't answer this number - it likelike it has been used in more scams than this one.

I just received a call asking for me to pay $80.00 on a bill from 2009.  I had also ordered Acai Berry pills and they said my credit card did not pay the $80.00 fee.  She said that I must not have read the fine print and that is why i had this balance.

I too just received a call today on my cell phone from a gentleman with ADS Collection Agency.  He only knew my first name.  He stated that my account had just been given to their agency for collection from Pure Nutra Nutraceuticals.  He stated that my credit card had been declined back on 4/2009 for $80.  I have never heard of this company let alone given them my credit card information.  So I was instantly seeing red flags, I asked for the companies phone number.  The guy could not provide me with the information.  I had him spell the name of the company and googled it while I was on the phone with him.  It didn't pull up anything that remotely looked familiar.  He stated that I owed $80 but the company was willing to reduce it to $60 if I paid today.  However, if I didn't they would report the debt to the credit bureaus.  I advised him that I had never done business with this company and therefore would not be paying the $60 or the $80, and that he could report the debt if he liked but that I would just dispute the debt once it was reported.  I then advised him that I had googled the name of the company while I was talking to him and that it did not pull up any results.  He then stated that was weird and he stated that they would close the collection account and clear my debt. I advised him that would be great!  Yeah this is a SCAM....huge red flags in their story...not knowing the company's contact information that the supposed debt is with...insisting that if I paid today it would only be $60 and not reported....not being able to find company information when I googled it....Clearing a debt because I told him google didn't pull up any info....YEAH CAN YOU SAY SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

It was a fax machine.

I recieved this call 1/5/11 and he told me the same.  Collection Agency.  Wondered why he only used my first name. ????  I told him the same as others.  I told him when he sent me the written info I would contact the company.  He kept telling me if I understood the new credit card act.  He would not give me any numbers or contact info or what I ordered.  He said he didn't have my address to send something and I didn't offer it.  I told him if I owed someone something that they would have my address and would have sent me a bill.  I did order the acia berry mess, I tried to cancel but would not give me my money back.  That stuff wired me beyond the sky.  I told them that.  I think anyone with that problem as well, we should all go into a lawsuit on this stuff and the trickery of the company.  Anyway, it is all a scam.  Stop buying the moon because none of it works anyway.

I got a call from these fools on New Years Eve and the lady told me that I'd ordered some sort of diet or colon cleasing product in 2009 and stated that my credit card was declined.  Well, I told this lady that I never ordered this product nor do I have a colon problem, so why would I have ordered this product.  She yelled at me and told me that I had two options, either pay the amout in full or be sent to some attorney's offer for further actions against.  She would not listen to what I had to say and continued to yell at me and kept talking over me.  I waited until she stop talking, then I told her a few choice words that I'm not proud of, however, I'm glad I did what I did...Who are thse fools and how do I report them?

This lady called me today and told her to call me back later on the day. For the meantime I called business bureau and they said that Pure Nutraboost doesn't exist, then I went to my local police station and they said is a scam for sure, they need to mail me the bill before reporting me to credit bureau.

If they call you ask them to send you a written bill and ask them for their contact number. Trust me they will hang up on you.

I have a missed call on my phone from this number.  They didn't leave a message, so I decided to google it and found this information.  At leave now I am prepared to give em heck if they do call back. And I can report them to the Attorney Generals Office here in South Dakota.

This number just called here with exactly the same scenario. We are going to the S. Fla. Better Business Bureau to lodge a complanit. When the questioned their veracity they folded up like a cheap tent.

Don't fall for it.  It made me so mad at first, but after I had time to think it over, it just didn't add up.

Yes, it's a scam.  We just need to keep reporting it.

I just got the same call from the same woman as above wanting me to resolve for $80.00 or she would send it to 3 credit agencies.  I too ordered and cancelled acai berry/Rachael Ray related offer last year.  I don't owe them anything and this is definately a scam.  No way to contact as mentioned above.  I told her it was bull**** and hung up.  Think I'll report this to the BBB as well.  I'm soooooooo sick of scammers!!!

I also just got a call from this number but was unable to call it back as it is a fax number and they didn't leave a message. Wondering what to do about it now.

I just received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I did not know who it was so I did not answer.  They did not leave a message.  I Googled the number and have read the other messages.  Last year I did fall for the Acai scam and cancelled my order with them and my bank account information so I would no longer receive charges from them.  Hopefully I do not hear from them again. If I do I will not be giving them any information.  Thanks for the previous messages.

This tel no appeared on my called ID and a lady by the name of Ashley from ADS Collection told me that my name has been reported to their collection agency for a delinquent payment on a colon cleansing I ordered on 6/10/2009 through the website but she couldn't identify the name of the company that reported me. I repeatedly asked for her call back number and she said they don't have one because she's calling from an "automated" number. She was threatening that If I don't pay the $60 today, I will be reported and will receive a "derogatory" remark on my credit report. I don't mind settling this with them  if they can prove that the product was mailed to me and attempts were made to charge my credit co. It sounded the phone call was very suspicious because, first she was calling me on a sunday and no customer service skills. She was very aggressive, intimidating and persistent to get my $60 payment which I was very hesitant to give my credit card # to her. She knows a lot of information about me ie; email address, home address,tel #, last 4 digits of my CC # which I cancelled a long time ago bec of fraudulent charges. They can send me the bill containing information about the colon cleansing company so I can research whether I really orderd and received the product because I don't feel comfortable giving Ashley of ADS Collection my credit card number. I have to follow my gut feeling...I think Ashley was trying to scam me.............and I told that to her.

On Monday I'll be talking with the attorny generals office in FL about these folks.

Same issue here.  When I started asking who they were, and how I contact them they gave me an 800 number and hung up on me.

I just received a call very much like what you described.  It was the Rachel Ray trial diet from last year (Sept. 2009).  I think it is telling that a collection agency is calling on a Sunday after a holiday when I will not be able to contact the company in question.

so what does everyone do as a course of action? will this group actually send this fraud to the 3 reporting agencies? Or will they eventually go away? I plan on sending a fax to the number requesting the infomation to review the claim.  The interesting thing in this case (yes it was Acai Berry) I had a charge for product not delivered. When I talked to them they said they were making some changes & that is was very possible there was a glitch! so They did a credit for the product I said I did not recieve. I then purhcased 2 more months of the product at that time (for $96.00) so that it would be the same qty. as the other part of the diect regiume (the Col-nx) At that time I canceled the contract with them.  There was no problem, the person(s) on the phone were fine to work with. I think I had to call back one time & make sure the charges were correct. I threw away the information on the people I spoke with this Oct. (which was 1 year & 1 month from the disputed transaction date they have given me.) My credit card company show no attemps for any company to collect payment on the date in question. However, I am concerned that I still won't have a leg to stand on as it is this supposid collection agency's word against mine. Again, when I call the numbers I have for Acai Berry they are ALL discontinued & so is the web site (these are the #'s & site on the product bottle label)

Oh & by the way this was a fax number when I tried calling back to see if they would mail me information.. Further, all phone numbers I have for the company in question are no longer in service nor is the web site.  How can this be resoulved if there is no one to talk with?

they say they are a collection agency. but could not give me any details other than a name of the company they were trying to collect for & the last digits of my cc#. She could not provide me with an account number from the company that sent bill to collection agaency.  Nor could they provide a phone # that I could contact them. Howerever she did say that if I wanted to dispute the claim that I would have to contact that company (but would not provide a contact #) I would be willing to pay if the company can prove that I recieved the product they said I received further I would want all the collection information in writing. not over the phone.  I have documentation from my credit card statements as to the history of payments with the company in question.  How would I know this to be fraud?
