Yes same thing happened to me.  I was very suspicious when a text could not be returned to the number from where it was sent.

Received a text from 904-329-7887 which said (verbatim and in response to a guitar I have for sale on Craigslist):

"Hi ...kindly respond with the final price for your Guitarr....tyl"

I texted back and immediately received another text that read:

"Sorry this number does not accept incoming messages.  kindly reply the sender on 321-300-5537..thanks" (again verbatim)

Sounded fishy so I decided to enter the number in a search engine and ended up here.

Sooooo sick and tired of creeps.

The same basic scenario as described above happened with me.  The alternate phone number he used along with this one is 904-458-7195.  I am one of the idiots who initially fell for this.  However, when I received his check via USPS Priority Mail for $1980.00, (I was selling a camera for $100.), I realized it was a scam and I will not be taking any efforts towards cashing the check.  The check was issued from First American Title Insurance Company through First American Trust Bank in Santa Ana, CA.  The name and address on the shipping label for the check is Brandon Fisher at 215 Ward Cir Ste 200, Brentwood, TN 97027.

Received a text message that a person from 904-329-7887 would love to buy the camera I posted on craigslist... they asked me to respond with the final price.  I sent a text back asking them to make an offer and where they were located.  I received another text that stated this number does not accept incoming messages, and o reply to the sender at 321-300-5537.  

I then ignored the text.  Now, just a minute ago I got another text that said "Want to buy your camera for my daughter... let me know your last price for it?  ........

I ignored the text.

I had a text came in from (469) 251-1061 at 4:37am Eastern time saying "Mr Ken on this number (321) 300-5537 needs your wheels text him your final price..."  I didn't reply!!!

Got a message from 469-251-1061 saying Dr Will needed my wheels.. in response to a craiglist add I had up. Asked me to text my final price to 321-300-5537.  I would hope no one falls for these idiots mesages.

His repsonse to me after responding back to him regarding a guitar I had for sale on craigslist:
Your final price is alright with me, i am out of town right now but i shall send you a check i shall include myu movers payment, as soon as you receive the check via the mail you get it cashed from your bank deduct your payment give the excess to my mover shen he comes for pick up. ok???
REALLY??? I never even g ave him a final price, lol. Are people this dumb to fall for this trash? The other phone mumber he is using in conjuntion with this is 914-556-3044.

Same exact thing happened to ne, guitar and everything

Received a text from this number regarding a guitar I had for sale on craigslist the text read exactly like this "Hi am Dave i saw your guitar on craigslist and in response to that i will appreciate if you can reduce your price by 5% as such get back to me with your final price as well"  

I responded only accept cash if still interested contact me.  These are totally scammers and everytime I text back that I only accept cash, I dont hear back from them.

Beware!

Scam.  Out of town... will send money order.... cash and give money to the shipper.... etc.

if you have received a call from this number that is associated with Craigslist it could be a scam post details.
