Ever heard of an outsource provider retard? GSI Commerce is a domestic outsource provider for ecommerce. When you call your credit card company and the guy who answers on the other end sounds like Apu from the simpsons and says his name is Tom, do you really think you are speaking to Capital One or whatever issuer you use? You are not, your speaking to the company you credit card outsources calls to. Inject some common sense into your thoughts and think about the kind of questions they ask you. Many banks also outsource their fraud checks as well. Ecommerce merchants eat the cost of fraud therefore if your buying something on a website and you are a new customer or your shipping to a different address or your email happens to be sexythug54@yahoo.com or you provided your cell phone which does not match what is on file with your credit card than do not be surprised when the merchant you ordered from asks you to validate some information. TO THE STUPID IDIOT WHO WROTE THAT SHE WORKS AT GSI...EVERY PERSON KNOWS NOT TO GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION (SPECIALLY CREDIT CARD INFO) TO THE FIRST IDIOT WHO CALLS OR SENDS YOU AN E-MAIL....YOU SHOULD ONLY GIVE INFO TO THE COMPANY YOU ARE PURCHASING YOUR ITEMS FROM.IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY KNOW YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND ORDER NUMBER(IT CAN BE A PERSON WHO WORKS AT THE COMPANY YOU ORDERED YOUR MERCHANDISE FROM, THAT WHATS TO SCAM YOU).BUT SINCE YOU ARE IN THE HABIT OF GIVING INFO TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO CALLS YOU.. I worked for GSI Commerce, it is not a scam. They're a customer service company that handle all online orders placed at any of their partners sites. It does not matter if the order was placed over the phone or you placed it online yourself, all the orders go through them, the person you spoke with was probably calling to verify that information with you because your order may not have been processed due to credit card failure or something to that affect, they need to retype all the information to send the order through to be processed again. That number they gave you was a partner number but hey, if you don't want your stupid package then don't call back yelling at them because they tried. The credit card company does not contact you, we have to contact them and we are the company you placed the order with, idiot.

SCAM!!!! I received a call from this number and the woman said that she was calling from a company to verify my order I placed over the phone the night before. She knew the company and order number. She wanted to verify address and credit card used. I did not give out any information. I told her that I would not give that info out over the phone because I could not verify who she was. She told me to call her back at 1-866-415-1324. yet another number that has complaints on it. DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!!!!!!!! I called both the company  I plaaced the order with and my credit card company and neither of them had contacted me!!!
