Just tried to scam me out of a lens posted on Austin CL - fishy from the start when he offered to pay 100 more than the advertised price - the number he uses (321) 345 6224 is a Google voice number but I would not report it as it gives peeps an opportunity to track him back to this thread

Why does he want a lens? He is trying to buy mine in person but I'm not going to meet him based on this thread.

He answered a Chicago Craigslist ad for a camera lens. He called himself Moses Bambert. Here is the email I got; hello, my name is Moses Bambert..what is your last price for this item...get back to me ASAP or you can text me back (321)345-6224

Big time craigslist con artist.

he tried to do the same to me, but he made a mistake, my relatives work for the police and dispatched somebody over there today

The same happened to me today. He used the name Moses Bambert, phone number 321-345-6224 and said he would pay $100 more for my iPhone, and to send him my Paypal email so he could make the payment.

Offered me $100 extra to ship him a camera listed on Craigslist. Said his name was moses bambert and that he was too busy to meet in person.  Red flag was that he was willing to pay me before I even shipped.

He tried to scam me out of my iPhone off PayPal

April 2013 -- This person tried to purchase my Dell laptop off Craigslist for $100.00 MORE than I was asking.  I didn't think much of it and thought it was because he needed me to ship to a US address.  This wasn't the case.  I received 3 messages from PayPal (look like PayPal) saying that payment was pending, USPS tracking number was needed for payment to be transferred to my account, etc...  The 'header' in the PayPal message was the clue this was a scam.  I canceled my PayPal invoice and continue to receive text messages from this person (e.g. he's supper busy and I'm pissing him off...).  PayPal assured me that he can't touch my account but if his text don't stop in the next few hours, I will be changing my cell number.

Caller's number was registered on my phone as (321) 345-6224

Tried to scam an iPhone.  I told him to send a cashiers check made out to cash.

He answered a Craigs List ad for an Asus Tablet for sale, offered me more than what I was asking. Said he would Paypal the money, then I said I didn't have Paypal, then he agreed to W. Union. Then I messed with him,, then I told him I reported him to MSNBC and the cops were on their way.  What a scammer.

He attempted to scam me out of my ps3. He is not very smart and it was obvious he was trying to scam
