"press 1 to talk to a live operator, press 5 to be permanent taken off of our calling list." left on vm when I didn't answer, that was after I had just received 5 other calls in a row from other phone #s listed all over the USA..  all robocalls.  Plain old pisses me off!

Just got a call from this number.  I used to answer and try to talk to someone to ask  to be removed from their list.  It's so much easier to just ignore the call.  I look up the number online because I am curious about who called me, but if I don't recognize a number I don't answer.  I have heard the theory that if you answer it just confirms for them that you have a viable number and they will call even more.

Thanks to all of you for the comments posted above.  These scamming, fraud b*****ds use a variety of phony computer generated numbers, tie-lines, etc.  to try to convince people to reveal their current credit card numbers, SSNs and all manner of personal data.  If you have a beef about your current credit card interest rate, talk to your bank first, be polite but firm and tell them you will cancel and take your business elsewhere.  If you have been good on payments, then there is no reason why they shouldn't lower it.  Banks expect us to pay ridiculous rates on credit cards, fees, etc. to compensate for their losses on bad mortgages and other loans, which run into the billions$ for the larger banks.  Not my fault, nor is ti your fault.

these boneheads called my number - didn't recognize it even though the area code is where I have a lot of family. Figure, if it's important, they'll leave a msg. "...reduce your rates, press 9 to be removed..."
yup - Alert! A scammer is coming to YOUR town, your friend's town your family's town. They're effing everywhere.

Lower my interest rate!!  On What!  I have no accounts with interest.  Bunch of crap.  I'm getting a whistle.  Maybe then I will be on their do not call list!!

Lower your credit card rates for no name bank. Sure, give them your personal info. Consumer Services a "Marketing" agency.

Another non-supported number for the credit card scam.  I pushed 1, but never got to talk to a person, does this mean they are under staffed?

Robocall, no caller ID, and they do not identify themselves.  Left a message: "..talk to you about reducing your credit card rates, press 1 to talk to our representatives."  

I filed a complaint with the do not call registry, https://donotcall.gov/. Every once in a while,the ftc makes life a little harder for a few these crooks by slapping them with a lawsuit.

Wasting their time IS the best method of stopping the "card services" scammer's annoying calls. They soon learn there is nobody to cheat at your number and it will be removed from their robodialer list. Google my name to see the method I used to eliminate the calls.

got one better, say you want to lower your card interest rate. tell them your in debt and need there help. they will ask for some card info, say you have to get your wallet, for them to hold on. go about your day, they will hang up at somepoint. minutes cost money

I have stopped these daily calls from the "credit card" people.  I found a whistle. I push "1" to speak to a "person"  and when that person starts to talk, I keep blowing the whistle as hard as I can until they hang up.  I have only had to do this 2 or 3 times and the calls have stopped!.  Try it.  I found the whistle in my junk drawer, maybe your kids or grandkids have one.  I have not had a call from any of the idiots for about two weeks.

Automated message saying I had expressed interest in job opportunities, which I had not.  Gave me an option to not receive more calls by pressing 2.  I pressed 2.  Got another automated call the next day saying my number has been opted out.  I re-registered on the National No-Call Registry just in case.

This number calls repeatedly. Anything that be done to stop this would be greatly appreciated.

This was a robocall about lowering interest rates. It was made to a cell phone and went to voicemail. Wish I could figure out how to block the number, but they prob call from lots of numbers so it likely wouldn't help. I really dislike these invasions! I advise you not to return the calls.

why cant these b****oles get wise, nobody wants to hear from them, they are ignorant and anooying Con artists trying to Scam people ! Send them to Prison to cell with "Bubba", that will stop them.

I kept on getting this call from this number leaving messages indicating you can be elgible for better interest rate. When I call back the number I get no where. It keeps calling my number.

Received a call from a credit card consolidation company about my account.  I have tried to be removed from their call list seven or eight times by calling back and pressing "1," so today I answered.  When asked how I was doing, I replied "actually, I'm pretty angry at the moment."  

The representative, a young-ish man who spoke slowly and as if he were bored, responded "you don't know what anger is.  Have a nice day."  And then hung up on me.

Turns out he was right -- I really hadn't been angry when I first called.  But I am now.

you could have written a link to a site for all that info rather than tying up,all that storage and web pages that people have to go through to get to next message.
