One question? What do these groups gain by calling our phones, letting then ring four times and not leaving a message? In some cases posted here we answer and there is nobody on the line.
How do the scammers make money or is this the modern equivalent of doorbell ditch?

I was called by 321 4021. It cut off before I could whip out my cell phone. I have several job applications out and since it could have been about an interview I called back only to get busy signals or no answer. When I got home I looked up the number and found this site.

Got a call from this 'unknown' number while I was all lubed up and 'greasing the pole' to on-line photos of Selena Gomez in a bikini. Talk about 'jack-offus interruptus!' There's nothing more annoying that holding in your load while you check to see who's ringing up the old iPhone right at the moment of climax.

Got a dial in from this number 321-403-4129, and "no one" was there. Wondering if this is a scam to somehow get data from my phone? When I tried looking up, I saw there were over 330 other people who had searched that number - obviously a lot of unwanted calls from this phone, who knows how many did not report/search it?

I received a call from 321-402-4129 on April 22 at 10:43 am. I did not recognize the number so I looked it up on Google and saw all the complaints. I also logged a complaint with the "Do not call" complaint website since I have been on the "Do not call" list for about a year now. Maybe the Federal Trade Commission will do something if we all log our complaints there also?

4 rings in a row but I was on another line. It came up on my bluetooth. Call 888-382-1222 to register for your phone to be put on do not call list. You have to call from the phone you want on the list. In 31 days if they try to call, they're breaking the law!

I have no clue as to who would be calling me from South Florida. I owe no-one and have no relatives there

I do something similar. I have a contact list called SPAM. I load numbers like this into this contact. The ringtone is a barking dog :-)

Yes, it's a vacation scam all right. They left a message on my phone -- telling me to press 55 to opt out, but of course you can't opt out of a voice mail. I've blocked the number, though.

I got the same, 4 rings no voicemail. I was told sometime ago that these places will dial several numbers at once and whichever number answers first the other numbers are disconnected. That is why sometimes the caller doesn't answer
right away because they can't actually talk to you until all other calls are disconnected. I don't answer any numbers I don't recognize on my cell but at work when I answer the phone if the caller doesn't speak right away when I answer I hang up.

I got the call after I was asleep, and when I woke up there was a reminder to call them! I didn't get any missed calls just a reminder, so I looks up the number and found this! It's just some scam, don't answer it it's a waste of your time!

I think this is a scam that has to do with smart phones and emails linked to your smartphone. I have an I phone 5 and a Yahoo email account linked to my I phone. My yahoo account has been compromised for about 3 months now. I reset my email account password that is linked to my I phone every couple days. Each time I reset the password I get another call from a 321 area code # or a 701 # from ND. I think they have found a way to retrieve your email password by making these phone calls since each time I get the call my password gets hacked into again. I know the email account is getting hacked into repeatedly b/c people have told me they are getting spam from me after I change password and get another call?

I saw a missed call from this number when I returned from my shower. I didn't recognize it and there was no message left in my inbox. I called the number afterwards, and I was told, "The number to which you are trying to connect is unable to receive calls at this time." -________- .........something's fishy........

rang twice. i picked up to a young woman inquiring about a claim with my name on it. They asked for me to confirm my identity by asking me to give out my address, name, and social security number. I laughed in their face and hung up.
