Hi, I reported these calls to our state DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and they are what they call scams or Phishing calls to get information from you.
They also do this by email and it is called spoofing....BEWARE , they are out to get you anywhere you are and anything you put online is there for good, it never goes away unless you shred your hard drive contents . So anything you have put on here remains...even if you delete it.

REport the calls to your local state DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, save all the info, number, name of co, time date etc....and also report to the National site as well the more they get fined the lesss they will call.

This company has called me many times with Credit Card Services informing to cut my credit card rate.  I have told them more than once to do not call me and take me off their calling list.  I finally spoke to someone who was very rude and said "Just don't answer the phone" to wich I replied "Just take me off you stupid calling list"  Hope they finally stop calling.

Got a call from this number. I called it back and got a message that the number is no longer in service.  You see all the complaints on calls like this and you wonder why the government never does a thing about it.

This may be also coming from someone's computer, if you have a gmail account you can call out for free long distance but the numbers are all shown up as long distance calls so someone may be checking up on you !

it may be coming from a computerized call, if you have a gmail account , cam, and mic you can call from gmail and it comes up with numbers from long distance area codes that may be people checking up on you and using a computer to do it.

I have not read where anyone had tried it so I have doing a phone trap on the line for about 3 months every time they call. See what the police can do with that.

I filed complaints with the FTC and with my phone company (Qwest, CenturyLink).  Maybe if enough people complain, they might do something to prevent the phone networks from being abused so easily.  It seems absolutely ridiculous that their networks can't enforce legitimate caller ID and call origin information (or allow customers to have their lines automatically reject any calls that aren't tagged with verifiable call origin information).

I am on the national "do not call" registry and hate being robo-dialed like this.

When I answered, a recording said that I could lower my interest rates.  I pressed "1" to speak with a representative and had to wait on hold for a minute before the representative answered.  I asked "what company is this" and she answered "Financial Rewards".  I told her to put my number on their "do not call" list and she politely agreed.

This definitely sounds like a scam.  I generally don't get solicited by legitimate companies since I am on the "do not call" registry.  Scammers ignore the registry.

I have been reporting calls like this to the FCC, but it seems like there are more and more lately.  Isn't there anything that law enforcement can do to discourage these scumbags?

If they are faking the number, this is a problem that the phone company needs to fix.  It shouldn't be possible to fake the number.  The phone company should keep track of where calls originate and provide some means of flagging a call for FCC investigation.  The fact that the phone companies don't care or do anything about it makes me mad as hell.

321 527 9999 These people are crooks. They call, burn up cell phone minutes and say they will lower my interest rates on my account. Although they don't know my name, then they want your credit card number. They say they are VISA I replied then you should know the number. I ask for there name and physical address and they hang up. I wish the government would use some resources to prosicte these social maggots who are nothing more than criminals.

I got a call and it gave the option to speak to a live operator press 1... I did and it hung up... it is all a scam. The recording states it is for an offer for one of our credit cards. How can they confirm that until they know they have the right person on the line? Any special offer from your credit card company they can send to you in the mail. If you are that good of a customer you will see it in the envelope with your bill.

Prank Call
These unwanted phone calls come from random "out of use" numbers that are used by phone fraud criminals. These stalkers use routers to disguise the number they are truly calling from, in order to make calls that appear to be from out of state, or even out of country. Reporting them is useless, and the local authorities do not have the time or equipment to help you. Just don't answer the phone, and if you do, ask the caller  all the questions. Never give out bank or personal information about your family status. These callers also have  pre-recorded ruses, which sound as if they would be legitimate, yet they are not. They may say they are from a phone company, a credit card company or bank that wants to help you lower your interest rates, and I've even have one say it was for a radio station survey. These information- seeking calls are utilized to obtain any type of information from you - mainly financial. They can also ask questions to distinguish age/sex of people living in the home For example, to determine if a male lives  there, by saying they have a radio station survey focusing on men.  When I ask them questions about their surveys or companies they usually become offended and hang up right away. It's as if I scare them off by asking them to verify where they are calling from. I know when a call or survey is legitimate-I'm not paranoid. These jerks are probably ripping off the unfortunate and elderly who believe them.

If you try to  call back or contact these numbers they are either "out of use", blocked, or unable to be reached.  The numbers truly are a front. Unfortunately, if you are home during the day, it does seem these punks call too often.  The same number will call every 2-3 days for a while. Just don't answer, or like Tim says above, get them on the phone and screw with them. These creeps need to stop calling. They ought to spend their time at real employment like the majority of us, and quit trying to con people out of money over the phone. Creeps.

It said Winter Park FL on the caller ID. I answered and nothing-the line was dead. A few hours later I got a call from (407) 480-9999 which is a number known to be used by scammers in FL (look it up on here). I believe these are the same lowlifes. Notice the same last four numbers-- 9999? I wouldn't answer if I were you.
