After getting out of the shower to catch the phone, sometimes they respond to hello... and then start in with SPrint cell phone plan.  I demand that they place me on their DO NOT CALL List and hang up.   But I still go through this several times a day.

Wonder why they don't speak when you say hello?  Are they trying to tie up your phone for extra minutes?  Or are they surprised someone answers?

What do you all think?

Rec'd call at 7:46 pm pushing for us to take a free cell phone.  We repeatedly stated we were not interested - caller (male) asked if anyone else in the house might be interested.  This is the second time today they called. I listed them on the National DO NOT CALL registry.  Everyone else should do so too.

I got one of these this morning. I told them I am on the DNC list and I am reporting them. I said goodbye and hung up. Call came in again immediately. The guy started calling me all sorts of un-repeatable expletives (I don't want to offend anyone here).
I reported them via the donotcall registry complaint link. Also reporting them directly to the FCC.

got this call several times in last few days. does appear to be Sprint. Remember, if you have initiated any contact with a company, that frees them up to call you, even if you're on a DNC list. Sprint was my phone company 2 years ago. You also have to update the DNC with your number at the five year mark to stay on it. That may change due to a bill trying to get approved, but not yet.

Had to say "Hello" twice before anyone answered.  I was one of ten "lucky" numbers picked to receive a new Sprint cell phone.  He was persistent after I said "no thank you" twice.  Finally accepted the "I'm not interested" the third time.

I got a call at 7:28pm when I said Hello there was a man singing some hip hop song I said hello again, he then asked if ------- --------- was home he had the name right however she was not home. He asked well when will she be home I replied at 3:30am. The man said wow that's late, I replied is there something that I can help you with. The caller began to stutter and hung up.  I called back the # and its a recording saying "your call can not be completed as dialed. Which is bogus because I dialed it right. I sometimes wonder how these people sleep at night working where they work.

Someone just called from this number and told my daughter they were Santa, and they were asking her what she wanted for Christmas. When she said hold on and gave the phone to us they hung up!

We have had several of these inconvient calls.  Why do they get through the no call classification?

Call came through early morning.  I was expecting a call, so I almost picked it up before looking.  When they got my answering machine, they hung up.  How do so many of these bogus callers slip through the cracks?  I am on the do not call list, but we have SO many of these our answering machine message basically says, "If you are not a friend, go away!"  What a sad thing.

Received an early morning call from 321-545-1789, caller id FLORIA, I said hello and no response. I hung up.

Calls and never leaves message. Calls over and over. I spoke to a person about a week ago. I told them I DO NOT WANT YOUR SERVCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They keep calling. How do you get these people to stop

well my husband just gave our address and our cell phone number and stopped giving info when they asked for his social. Right now he's talking to the real Sprint. I hate scammers.

call me around 8 am when i am sleeping work nights they wake me up every morning for past two weeks

This number has called my home phone number and my home office line several times and each time I tell them "no thanks, please take us off your list." They get really angry and switch-up stories on why they are calling. It's either the sprint cell phone offer or a short story. These people are rude, call at all hours and need to be stopped.

This number called my home number for the first time , didn't answer, let the machine get it. They left no message just hung up. This has got to be a big scam. From the other posts this scamer says he has an offer from a cell phone company but not always the same one or even a different company of some kind. This is some low life trying to rob you. This is  ID theft. Don't give them any info.

same here 3:17pm 09jan08 free cell phone scam. he was arab or something. i said "bye", as i was hanging up the phone i heard him say screew off. whats the point of doing this? someone must actualy fall for this scam for them to still be doing this for 7 months with the same number. who funds this stuff? how did they know "andy from vegas"s nickname(02sep07)? someone needs to just take this guys cell phone already!

This a***ole called me at 8:00 in the morning on a Saturday at home. Since I never get calls at this time, I answered it without looking at the ID. He said they were from verizon wireless. I told him not to call back and called him a terrorist for calling me at this hour. Then he started yelling obscenities at me. Then I told him to go back to his mud hut in the desert and keep raking in his 25cents an hour. He called back and left 2 messages on my answering machine calling me an "impotent american" and a "motherf%#*er", "dickless @sshole" etc.  I immediately changed my phone #(for a 30 dolllar fee) making it unlisted and on the do not call registry.

Received two calls in a row - first on the home line, and then less than a minute later on my office number.  Rep was pretty rude and kept trying to interrupt me.  I asked to be removed from the calling list, and he laughed, said ok, and hung up on me.

Why are these strangers calling my residence and indicated on my id caller as "name not found" and does not leave a message?  I figured it was a telemarketer.  How do I report this phone number to stop calling my residence for once!

REC'D CALL LAST NIGHT AT 8:53 PM  DID NOT ANSWER. WAS GOING TO CALL BACK BUT DECIDED TO CHECK IT OUT FIRST. SO GLAD I DID, I SAVED MYSELF FROM GETTING A CUSSING BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER EVER GIVE OUT PERSONNAL INFO VIA A PHONE.
