Rec'd call from "County" at 6:09 PM - right at dinner time.  No Message Left.  I am FED UP WITH ALL THESE STUPID CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This came up on my caller ID as "County".  He gave me the 'speech' and asked if I would support them.. I said no..     as as soon as I told him the Police Dept. I work for.. he hung up.... It is true I really am an Officer....!

Whether or not you support a particular group is not, in my opinion, the issue with these calls.  The fact is, that they come from "renamed" telemarketers.  The advent of the Do Not Call (DNC) list, sent these boiler room telemarketing firms scrambling to rename themselves as charity solicitors or marketing firms, etc.  They "contract" with a variety of charities to collect on their behalf.  In actuality, the charity may receive as little as 8 cents on the dollar or nothing if the telemarketing company has a minimum clause.  Our local tv did a recent expose on these so-called non profit collections.  If you want to give to a charity call that charity directly, go on their web site, or mail them.  These are just thieves who take your money under dubious titles.

Call from this number...no one on line.  If it is the FOP, forget it...donations to them are not tax deductible regardless of what they say.  It's a rip off...ever been with anyone to an FOP lodge?  Bunch of drunk cops.

please do not call us anymore.  hopefully you have other things to do instead of disturbing all of us and you are making the telephone in USE while we are waiting for a much needed call from our family.

I had this number call, but they were looking for a cousin- by name, although it is one she hasn't gone by in years. Claimed to be FOP... really confused me greatly!

Not my county as caller id displayed. Didn't answer, left no msg. Glad I googled this number to find this is  B.S. organization. The same that has called here in the past........several times!!!

Man had my name and claimed he was Fraternal Order of Police calling for donation. Said no to this scam.

Called and lots of noise in background and was saying -and you I will kill you, you sob-oh hello, could i speak to----actually said my name, and when no one answered started laughing his head off then hung up. I have a relation who is an ex con. Wonder if anyone else is in same situation, Maybe they call ex cons family doing this. Kept recording on another device just in case need it later, who knows.

Got a call last night claimed to be fraternal order of police in Bushnell Florida. Bushnell has disbanded the police so I said I would checking in the morning with the sheriff, I did.  This is a bogus organization.

Using the name of cops to rip people off? Bad idea Mr Give me your credit card or check by mail Scammer. Even the cops have said that your FOP is a scamming organization. Real charities are non-profit. FOP is a FRAUD. You know what people rather donate directly to the cops than through some liar claiming to be part of a police association. You are part of the fraud association. Rename yourself Fraud On Patrol.

ALL FOP calls are scams. But you know that, you're obviously one of the scammers who makes them.

HEY check us out online fopdistrict7.com. although the center of operations is in brevard, monies raised goes into each individual fop lodge. anyone can get a number with any area code they wish, but we are honest about what we do.

Got a call this afternoon from 321-635-8055 and the caller ID  said "COUNTY".   I live in Lake County and our area code is 352 so I knew it wasn't from Lake County.  When I picked up the phone, the person on the other end immediately hung up.  I'm on the "Do Not Call" list but apparently the "DNC" list is a joke because I get calls all of the time from "Unknown Caller".   My wife and I decided to not answer the phone anymore unless we know who is calling us.   If that "Unknown Caller" has something important to tell me, they can leave a message.   :-)

This outfit called again today. I never answer but they keep calling. Police organizations do not solicit donations like this. Calls coming from well out of my area according to the phone no. These "people" never give up. Sales calls usually begin by telling you they are not selling anything, but want you to know of an important advantage in reponse to a grave concern or danger (theft-in this case). AND that's a real laugh as theft is what THEY have in mind.Folks, please don't return these calls to see what they want. We should all know by now what they want-to make contact and try to get info from us. These people compile their information by bits and pieces until they know everything about you.

I just got the call today from "County". they hung up pretty quick when the person they where calling about wasnt here.
I could tell the guy was young and it did seem like telemarketers.

These calls are from the Fraternal Order of Police. They do not take credit card number over the phone. They send you an envelope with a car sticker. You then send them a check. I use to donate to them. I don?t donate to anyone any more.
