You guys should really take into consideration that we dont even like working for these effin people!! First off.. we dont get paid enough for what we do. I would rather be flippn burgers at Mcdonalds then sittin on my butt waiting for people to answer the phone to take a survey that I wouldnt even want to take if I was on the other line. I dont blame anyone for not wanting to do it.

Our managers/supervisors (whatever the hell they call themselves) dont do nothin but sit on their fatt butts waiting for us to complete their quota. They sit up there on their effin cellphones the whole damn night just BS-ING! I'm pissed off because they dont respect us that are actually working the whole damn night. They all have bad attitudes like they hate there jobs. Well damn I would sure like to be doing what they're doing (NOTHING!!) and be getting paid what they are getting paid then to be doing what I am doing and getting paid nothing!!

Trust me, I understand where everyone is coming from. Like I said I dont blame you for not answering the phones or hangin up or even cussing us out at sometimes (Believe me I get that a lot). Just understand yourselves that this is our jobs and it is important to us. We do not work for any of the politcal parties in which we are calling on behalf of. We are just getting paid minimum wage to conduct these stupid sureveys while our managers treat us not CRAP!!

**Oh and by the way, we do only politcal surveys, in which we talk about the budget deficits and the polititions (Who put us into this mess in the first place) and how they spend the money. Well, I just gotta wonder where the hell the money is coming from that pays the 60 something people that work with me

I am sick and tired of working for this crappy company. When I first started I though "Oh, well atleast its not sales" Not that I have been working here for way to long I think damn this is almost worst then sales. These arent even surveys. More like Push polls!

Whatever! You guys are the pricks! Like the lady said above, this is their job. Just ask to be removed from the list. By not answering  the phone or hanging up they are not sure (because of the delay that the gmrs employer explained about) they are not sure if you are not interested. Just politely say so. Like stated above, they are not out to get you. Just doing their job. I dont see the problem. I too have gotten calls from them and found the ladie I spoke with to be very polite and the survey was quite interesting. If you dont like it then change your number or like I said ask POLITELY to be removed. Remember, these people do not enjoy doing this. It is their job.

Also, if you honestly do wish to participate then just ask to be put on the do not call list... Its that simple. I have never gotten upset or mad when someone has asked me to do this. We at OTR understand that people have lives. Work, children, school and other responsibilities as well. The employees at OTR also have all of this. Some of us actually work two jobs to pay for school or support our children. I cannot speak for all of us.. but I am speaking for most of us when I say that we do not have a problem taking you off of the calling list. Just understand that unfortunately this is our job and we do not get any type of bonuses for completing the survey.. just the chance to maybe go home early to be with our families.

You people are ridiculous. I too work for OTR and we are not shady people. Like stated above, we are only interested in your opinions. Which IS actually important.. not just to us.. but to the whole country. We do political surveys throughout the country. The questions we ask have to do with real issues going on right here in our country, our towns, our neighborhoods and our backyards. I talk to MANY people everyday and when I ask the question "In general would you say things in you country/town/area are headed in the right direction or headed off on the wrong track?" I rarely ever get that its headed in the right Direction. Then we go on to ask about certain issues... Illegal immagration... drilling for oil... certain laws trying to be passed or changed.. and all we are looking for is how you feel about that issue. How does anyone ever expect anything to change if you dont voice your opinion? If you want things to go the way you want it to go then you need to say how you want it. Thats what gets me people.. everyone wants to complain about how messed up this country is and how everything is getting worse and these polititians dont care for us... blah blah blah.. but the truth is its people like you that done care.. that dont care enough to give us 15 minutes (In some cases only 5 mintues) of your time to answer some questions that could actually end up changing how things are going. About us being shady, I have no idea who the man is above that has been mentioned (The one who owns the company or wutever) But I can assure you that the people that I work with everyday are not shady. We are just a bunch of normal people like yourselves.. we get paid minium wage to conduct these surveys. Most of us do not even enjoy doing it. Unfortunately with the economy being the way it is today and until that changes and with most of us having children we dont have a choice. I thank god for my job everyday! All I wish is that you people would wake up and understand that we are just telemarketers trying to make a living and in this case.. we are also doing something pretty important as well. All it takes is 5-15 minutes of your time.. and with enough people willing to do that.. guess what? We might actually be able to make a change.

You are mixing up Action Research "Group" with Action Research. I think I heard that the company "Action Research Group" are skip tracers. If you read the entire article you link to you will see that it has different principals.

Also, "Action Research" is another of Peter Bakiola's enterprises and has already been on the FTC radar for some time.

I encourage anyone who is being bothered by these bottomfeeders to file complaints immediately with the FTC, Attorney General (Florida and your own state), and to contact Melbourne, FL and let them know they have some shifty people engaging in highly suspicious activities in their town.

Also got several calls, including a very late call.  Just finished filing reports with the FTC and with the Attorneys General of their state and of mine, and I am about to contact Melbourne FL local offices and law enforcement.  This is out and out harrassment and abuse at this point.

What OTR and companies like them do is collect contact and other personal information for companies like NCO Financial Systems, which is a notoriously sleazy junk debt collector.  If anyone from OTR calls and asks for you or a family member, your best bet is to tell them they have a wrong number and then to firmly decline participating in their "survey", to demand they remove your number from their calling list, and then hang up.  They just called our house, too, but I've been aware of these sleazy operators for some time.  If you ever wonder how criminal bogus debt collectors get your info, these guys are your answer.

We got 3 calls from this company today.  Each time we asked not to be called back.  The first two times we did so politely.  The third time we advised them we were reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission for violation of the do not call law.  And we just did.  Enjoy your visit from the feds!  Ha ha ha.

Haha you guys are idiots, thinking that OTR is some kind of totally undercover place that is going to steal your opinions and do something with them (which I still don't understand. It's just your opinion and don't most people want their voice to be heard anyways?). They probably hide their number on the caller ID so they don't get jerks calling them back and bitching at them for calling when all you have to do is ask them politely to be removed from their list. If you don't ask then they're going to keep calling obviously since it's an automatic dialer and the callers aren't out to get you. And also if OTR is such a 'shady' place then why are average people (who are fully informed about the surveys they're giving) allowed to apply and work there? Whatever, if you guys are gonna be totally ignorant and stupid just because you got a few random phone calls from someone asking what your opinion on Obama is, then go get your phones shut off and stop bitching.

I work there. We do surveys, never anything shady. If you don't want the phone to keep ringing, then answer it and ask to be removed from the calling list. We have an auto dialer that calls you repeatedly if you do not answer, or if you answer but there is a delay and you might hang up before you can hear us. Yes they are sister companies located a few blocks away from each other. A lot of people are friendly and enjoy doing the surveys. Your opinions are important that's why we ask for them.

This is "research" company that goes by the name of "OTR" or "On Track Research." They call repeatedly, even if you ask to be removed from their call lists. Typically, they engage in political surveys, often engaging in polls of dubious nature designed to create public opinion, rather than understand it.

They are a shady and suspect organization. There is a whole list of interconnected companies whose relationships are obscured by a list of different names. For example, reviewing the Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations website (http://www.sunbiz.org/search.html) we find that OTR was listed as dissolved and inactive as of 09/15/2006.

A big red flag is the fact that caller ID lists them as "Unavailable." If they were a legitimate firm, they would list their company name and phone number on Caller Id. Other research firms that have contacted us have done just that.

When the telemarketer "researcher" from OTR calls, an attempt to extract information from them is met with resistance. In the two calls from this company I received this weekend, I was told that they were not allowed to give out the company phone number or address. All I was told was the company name, and that they were located in Palm Bay, Florida. When I was asked for a copy of the company's privacy and do-not-call policy, I was hung up on.

When you participate with surveys, you have no method of knowing what will be done with your personal and private information. For example, let's say you answer questions in a political survey. You do not know if as a result, your name, phone number, and address will be sold to telemarketers that will in turn, call you incessantly. They can get away with this under the guise of having done business with you before, based on your survey participation.

Fight back people! Do not accept phone calls from suspect "research" firms that skirt the do-not-call laws! Challenge the callers with direct questions, such as what is the name of the firm, their phone number, address, and most importantly, THE NAME OF THE COMPANY THAT IS PAYING THEM TO PERFORM THEIR RESEARCH!

My own research discovered that OTR is the "sister" company of "Global Marketing Research Services" according to their website: www.polling.net. Otherwise, there is no known web presence of this phantom company called On Track Research.

Here is the address of GMRS, and presumably OTR:
712 East New Haven Ave.
Melbourne, Florida 32935
Phone: 321-723-7013
Fax: 321-676-5496

There are several alternate addresses as well:

OTR also has a listing of:
809 Palmetto Ave
Melbourne, FL 32901
321-725-8886?

In the February 9, 2005 annual filing with the Florida Department of State, OTR listed its address at:
517 Bahama Drive
Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937

and a mailing address of:
P.O. Box 880
Melbourne, FL  32902

This post office box was also listed as the mailing address of GMRS in a January 16, 2008 filing.

The "current" registered agent of OTR is listed as:
Peter Bakolia
517 Bahama Drive
Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937

He is also listed as a company officer and director.

The "new" registered agent of OTR is listed as:
Anthony J. Diana
P.O. Box 880
Melbourne, FL  32902

GMRS has listed Anthony J. Diana as not only the registered agent, but the officer and director as well:
Anthony J. Diana
754 Hunan St. NE
Palm Bay, FL  32907
321-984-9055

A search for "Anthony J. Diana" in the Florida Department of State web site lists about 16 businesses, all with the same addresses as above. A search for Peter Bakolia lists 14 businesses.
