you can expect government to do everything--that is why we conservatives are for small
government.  but the funny thing is, everyone want government to quit sticking its nose
into everything, but...... when it (whatever that might be) touches or effect our lives.  You
see...i am blessed with deafness. i was not born deaf. lost hearing later on.  I never thought
i was slave to a bell... just because it rings does not mean.... if you have a answer-box,
turn off the bell.  tell the people who know you when they call, answer-box will answer.
when the outgoing message is over, to call you by your name, and when you hear that
you will pickup the phone.   the rest?  if they don't go by the program.......they get nothing.
i have a phone service only to computer hook-up.  no phone.  i get calls my machine will
keep the numbers of callers.....when i check to see.....most of them are junk calls....like
junk mail.

The government will not be "running healthcare" under ACA. Your comparison is ridiculous.

Universal healthcare - WHY WOULD YOU NOT WANT THAT? Shut off Fox News, the 24 hour propaganda channel. Deport Rupert Murdoch!

Was called 3 times in 15 minutes today by these people.  I normally answer and mess with them, but today I chose to ignore them... so they just kept calling.  Twice from 321-740-9999 and once from 971-220-1788.

Received robocall from this number at dinnertime on 23-July-2012.  Automated female voice left familiar msg on ans machine about lowering credit card interest.  We cut up our cards some 2 yrs ago.  This number is faked.  Scammers trying to steal your credit card, banking, and personal info.  These calls originate outside the U.S.
Don't give out any info to anyone whom you do not know and have not initiated the call!

Prank Call
We may all get 321-740-9999  showing up on our caller ID's, but we are not all recieving calls from the same person or business.  I answered a call from this number and it was the neighborhood kids trying to harrass my son.   They are spoofing with caller ID and this must be a common number to spoof with.   Typically tellemarketers, scammers and jokesters use "spoofing" to cover their real indentities as these calls are hard to block.

Thanks to the person who suggested reporting it to DNC - I did. I'll be doing that more often. I didn't answer - instead looked up the number as it was ringing. Glad this site exists.

Check for AMBD charges on your credit card - those are charges for Ashley Madison's affair service.  There are a few ways they disguise their charges however.

And your spouse may have work credit cards or others you don't know about that they are using to pay for it.  Get a copy of their credit reports from all three bureaus to see what credit cards you didn't know about are in their name - and bingo, you caught them.

Yea, I get these calls too. Especially from this number. I don't answer anymore and this is my preference over moving to a socialist system just because some scammer is calling me. Almost all of socialist Europe is bankrupt. USA healthcare costs are about 16% of GDP in comparison to about an average of 10% in Europe. Most innovation comes from USA and in socialist countries, there is no need for tort reform; who you going to sue? You are not diened insurance in USA if you have a pre-existing condition. This is a myth. If you have no insurance, you can go to tthe emergency room or a neighborhood clinic. They don't refuse you. As you are running away screaming, Canadiens, Europeans and many others are coming to USA to recieve the best care in the world.

People, people!! Just ignore these scumbags. I usually set my phone to "silent" and calls like these don't bother me as much. Complaining on these forums let you get off some steam but will not stop the calling.

If someone really needs to get a hold of me, they will leave a message. (try it, it works!) I wish there was a nationwide consortium to not answer these calls, ever! and you'll drive these idiots out of business.

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. It's not that the Registry "is not enforced", the Registry CANNOT be enforced because our phone system is an "open" system where anyone with a phone and phone line can call anyone else in the world.

Clearly you do not understand how the DoNotCall Registry works. The Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Socialist Europe has opt-in marketing where telemarketers are forbidden from calling you unless you give them express permission beforehand. Capitalist USA has opt-out marketing where telemarketers can call by default and it's up to you to get them to stop calling if you can. Big business and the Republicans fought against the creation of the Registry and we are lucky to have what we have today.

Socialist single-buyer health care systems in all other industrialized countries cover ALL their people for a few percent of GDP and paid for through taxes. Our capitalist you-take-your-chances health care system covers ~5/6 of our people for ~twice that and God help you if you have a preexisting condition and no insurance, or if you should lose your job and lose your insurance and then get sick. Yes, you should run away screaming from our healthcare system.

You are SO RIGHT!  Most of these scams are outside the U.S.  If you cannot call them back on their Caller ID# it's 100% that they are CRIMINALS.  But turning them in with a DNC Registry report gets them into the system and over time will get them busted.  No, not in every case - BUT IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO MAKE A REPORT THERE IS AN ABSOLUTE 0% CHANCE THEY WILL EVER BE STOPPED.

Listen to Mike in MD.  He's right...

Or maybe you just like to hear the phone ring.

Ah, "Card Holder Services" that needs you to give them your credit card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes "for verification" to get the 4 1/2% interest rate they are offering...

These criminals work out of south London, England using VOIP.  They are linked to Pakistani terrorists and folks they dupe get charges from all over the Middle East, mainly from our "allies" in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The whistle or boat horn is the absolute best approach.  Never give out your credit card info.  If it was really your bank offering you a good deal (like that is ever going to happen!!!) they would ALREADY HAVE your information.

It's your Republican friends that have de-funded the FCC and FTC enforcement of the "liberal Do Not Call Registry" in the name of "free speech" and "jobs"... why not call your buddies?

And BTW, Medicare has a 98%+ approval rating, far higher than ANY private healthcare system.  Or perhaps you like being overcharged for everything by 500% to 4000%...

They also call from 971-220-1032

It is a network of criminals who just want to steal your credit card. They use a variety of FAKE NUMBERS. Report to the appropriate authorities. MOST IMPORTANTLY, warn others. Sadly, people fall prey every day.

The call says they want to lower a interest rate on your card. If you connect to a live person they will ask your name and hang up on you.  It is their way of tracking a dept.. They get the number, disgaurd it and pick it up again. Pretty good trick call Visions collections.
