automated message for all power customers...didn't listen long enough to see what they were selling.

They go by different company names to my phones first it was organization for energy savings then usa utility experts recent harrasing calls is with another bogus name national energy awarness saying the same thing except my apointment has been paid for and referred by a family or friend.The numbers all start in the 321 area codes...I kno its a scam if not its harrassment with those automatic voicemails and calls.someone put a stop to this company!

SCAM

Houston, TX  04/15/11-------- I have been receiving these calls too for many weeks.  This past week, there are live callers calling me from a boiler room to follow up.  

The caller said he is with a company called "Unique Power Savers" and they want to send out a "licensed and bonded" technician to do an energy audit for my home.

When I asked the address and website of Unique Power Savers, he said they didn't have one.  When I asked who licenses and bonds the technicians they want to send to my house, he could not answer.  I asked him how his company gets around the Do Not Call list, and he said because they are not selling anything - just making appointments.   I asked, "Then how do you get your money?", and he says they are paid by the "alternative energy companies".  When I asked "which ones", he could not say.

Suggestion:  When they call, just ask a bazillion questions and totally waste their time.  I ended up by saying "You sound like a very nice and sincere young man having to work for what is clearly a scam company.  You can do better than this.  Would you like me to pray with you for a better job in a more reputable company?".   He thanked me for my time and hung up.

Got the same message from these people on both my wifes and my cell phone and have gotten them from them on my home phone. Has been from several phone numbers.  Have blocked 4 on my cell phone but they just use another number.  Who can help us with this?

So whats the scam?  How are they ripping us off?  Should I safegaurd or is it real?

This same solicitor has multiple numbers that they call from all from a 321 area code. Sometimes it's a 961 or 916 or 8_ _ something but it's the same thing. It always starts out: "Attention....blah blah blah..  I was told that Solicitors are NOT supposed to call CELL PHONES.  This gets annoying cuz u can't call them back because it says "The person you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time." Rings once then drops the call. This is annoying for me because I'm activley searching for employment so Idk who it is that is calling me untill I answer.  STOP CALLING ME!

Get several calls a week from this number annoying

Received call from this number on 4-12-11 at 6:50pm. Did not answer.

They keep calling my cell phone.  They don't leave messages.  I've answered their calls a few times (not knowing who is calling) and its about the energy audit and its free because I was "referred".  I wish someone could put a stop to these harrassing calls.

Just got a call from them on my cellular.  Was unable to pick up, so I tried calling back.  It gave a weird message, so I looked it up.  I do not appreciate telemarketing or spam in any form, least of all on my personal cell phone.

We have received calls from this "company" not only via land line phone, but now starting on our cell phones!  Yes, they sound "important" but it's just a money making scam!  We "fell for it" when they first called our land line....when the man came here, he went through his presentation, then when we decided to NOT go ahead with what he was selling, he got mad, packed up & left!!  They have numerous phone #'s they are using....started with area code 904 (Jacksonville), now am getting them through 321 (Melbourne/Palm Bay).  Which area code will be next?!?!?  I have reported phone calls to the "do not call" as well & hasn't stopped!

Daily calls from this number. Possible tax credit for doing energy audit.

How many unwanted, unknown calls must come to my cell before the authority take steps to go after these people? It is happening daily, from different phone numbers, different area codes and enough is enough. what can we do to stop the harrassment?

I also keep getting calls on my cell phone about getting a tax credit up to $3700.00 if I do an energy audit. The wording of the recording makes the call sound inportant that it is sanctioned by Progress Energy and FPL and I must act now.

Calling to leave voicemails about a "free energy audit" scam. Part of the same group that has been spamming me for months. Keep reporting them to https://www.donotcall.gov/, especially if you are on the list (which they do not respect)
