It is real easy to call using a disconnected phone #.  It is called spoofing.  There is a legitimate reason for spoofing 1) A corporation has 10 outgoing trunks with separate identies, but they show the same main phone number. 2) A corporation may fax outbound faxes via a particular number or on one of those trunks & spoof a particular number for someone to fax inbound calls.

At one time most fax machines had the capability of spoofing a phone number.  There have been several attempts to outlaw spoofing.  None have suceeded.

The number has been issued by Magic Jack. If you try calling it back it'll go to voice mail, and voice mail is full - so there's no way to leave a message.

If you listen to their message and press one for an operator, you'll get somebody who'll want to verify you are the business owner.  I told them I was a person who wanted to be placed on their do not call list, and that I was on the National Do Not Call list - click...

If you speak to somebody and tell them to put you on their do not call list - they must comply.

I then filed a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call complaint center, and told them what I have just told you.

The feds are overwhelmed with this stuff, but I figure if we keep complaining, they will, at some point, doing something about these folks.

This number excessively calls our business on a daily basis.  Says they have unsecured business loans. I said then stop calling me and put the check in the mail; lol.  But, they keep calling, so I put them on hold.  Now we're getting more daily calls for the same thing, from different numbers. Don't talk to them.

These Bozos are a complete fraud. The Robo Call, illegal, mentions the recent Stymulus package but what they really are doing is wanting to lend businesses money against recievables at very high interest rates.

Don't waste time thinking about suing or even reporting them to the FTC. They use spoofed numbers, Robo Calls, and phony corporatations.

I've picked up 4 calls today from these bozos - I am at work and we can't be having this going on - our sutomers are way more important thatn crank phones calls.

I get sick of this stuff going on - wish the FCC or whomever would get a handle on the solicitation calls.

I have the Panasonic phone. It blocks 20 calls. I filled it in less than a week. Some caller ID boxes can bnlock up to 100 numbers but they cost abnout a hundred bucks.

So I mess with the callers. Give them a bogus name (dead actors from the 1930s) and address (the local FBI office is often good) with a matching phone number and tell them anything they want to hear. "Ship me a biiiig box of what you're selling" or "Sign me up for ten of everything." Tell them to include a bill.

Any attorneys out there?  Can there be a class action lawsuit filed against this company......and ALL the others that continue to do this with no penalties from FCC?  This is a violation of our privacy, not to mention disturbing our peace, harassing, etc., etc.

Received a call to my office direct line. No message.  Says it was a call from Orlando FL.  This number is on the Do Not Call List.

There is really nothing that can be done about these calls. First, most use software any one can buy, to "Spoof" the phone number they are calling from. Sometimes they can even "Spoof" the name of the business they are calling from. Example, I received a similar call, but the phone number and ID showed the call was coming from some Gym in Brooklyn, NY.  The police, the phone company and the people who manage the DNC lists are powerless, because it's impossible to trace these calls. Additionally these calls may be originating from some foreign country that are not subject to our laws.

I have found that an air horn from the local sporting goods store works wonders. Press the numbers and get a live person on the phone and then press the button on the air horn. Perhaps you'll burst the callers eardrum and he'll be out of commission for a couple of days

hahaha............I love it when a plan comes together.............I used the CALL BLOCK to block their rat a** number.  If we all use the call block (ask your phone co how it works, then we get the last laugh on these low lifes...........Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

This is a Brevard County, Florida area code.  It is a recording offering "business cash".  I pressed one to get a live person who immediately hung up on me when I requested that my number be deleted.  Real businesses do not operate in such a rude manner.  This is obviously a scam.  I saved the number and entered it as "Do Not Answer" in my cell phone "address book" along with all the other numbers where someone has tried to rip me off!  And that's what this is, a rip off.

Fits the profile of what's described here.  Automated call offering to reduce credit cards to 6.99%.  I was interested enough to hit the number for a representative.  In response to my questions, no it wasn't a promotional offer where rates go back up after a year, it's a "fixed 6.99%", then I asked if they wanted to sell me a new credit card, no it wasn't that either.  They claimed to represent "both Master Card and Visa" when I asked which credit card company they are working for.  When I said, well what kind of information do you want from me and how do I know you're not a scam? - the phone went dead.  I'll look for information on how to report to FCC.

Same old call from Rachel at credit card services wanting to lower your interest rates.  It says you can push 3 to discontinue messages but that doesn't work.  Calls land line and cell phones at least once a week.  What can be done?

They keep calling me too.  Recorded message about lowering my credit card debt.   I don't have any credit card debt!   I am on the no-call list.   Doesn't work.   I also press 3 to be removed from their list.  Doesn't work. They are real pains...

I filed a complaint against them with the "Do Not Call Registry".  If more people would file, it would build a better case against them.
