I get maybe two of these calls a day.  They never leave a message.  Instead, I get that awful taped message from the phone company (with that disgusting beeping) that you get when you leave the phone off the hook.  The originators of these messages is a telemarketing company that keeps most of any money people are foolish enough to give them.  If you want to give money to help police-related causes, ask a cop for any legit organizations they may know of.  Or, go to police or sheriff websites.

This number call repeatedly and as late as 9pm without leaving a message when we don't answer and when we do answer, tey apparently make no note that we wish to be removed from the list.

When they called a year ago I told them I wasn't interested and the guy told ME to F*** Off.  I called back to report the fundraiser's behavior and got put through to a holding line where I waited and nobody picked up.  Realizing it was probably a scam, I just never picked up the calls again. They eventually stopped until this past week.  This time, I listened to the pitch and when he asked me if I wanted to give a donation (my credit card) to him over the phone, I told him that I do not give my credit card over the phone, but I would like to get materials sent to me in the mail.  His response "Oh. I get it." And then HE HUNG UP!  It's a scam for sure.

I've had many hang ups from this number.  
If they were on the up and up and really the Fraternal Order of Police, why wouldn't they leave a message?
Many folks would be sympathetic to the cause, but without leaving a message it appears to be very fishy.
I have added a complaint to the donotcall registry as well.

They've called me several times, sometimes asking for me personally, or asking for someone else,"antonio", who I don't know.
I've told them to F***K OFF several times but they still call. I told them I will never donate to any pig organization after watching what happened in the park several years ago, and what I continue to see about their piggish behavior on the news constantly.
I know most cops are just doing their job, and doing it by the book, but THEY TOLERATE AND PROTECT THOSE COPS AMONG THEM WHO ABUSE THEIR AUTHORITY. If they ever wonder why they don't get the respect they think they deserve, they should think a little bit about how they or their fellow officers abuse their position in the MANY cases that show up on the news,(which is a tiny percentage of what actually goes on). F***K those a**holes. They quit getting my respect they day I started being more afraid of them than the gangbangers.
TOO BAD THE PIGS ARE SO CLANNISH THAT THEY TOLERATE THE TRUE SCUM IN THEIR RANKS. UNTIL THEY CLEAN HOUSE, NO RESPECT, AND NOT A DAMN DIME FROM ME.
Whenever they call me, I explain in no uncertain terms how I feel, and tell them not to call me, but they keep it up. Everybody knows cops aren't that bright, but these idiots never learn. I always give them a nice loud "OINK" before hanging up.

Its the FOP. Raising money for the Memorial Foundation that helps out police officers and their families!  They were really nice and it was simple, I was only able to give 10 dollars but it helps.

I have never had a traffic offense, accident, arrest, or anything of the sort and they keep calling me!  I  call the number back and it sits on hold for 1.5+ hours (I hung up after 90 minutes).   SCAM!!!!

323-208-3941 'LA FOP FOUND' stands for Los Angeles Fraternal Order of Police.  Apparently a large organization that does a *lot* of telemarketing dialing.  Very rude when they called.  I was obviously non-interested so they went through their script really quickly without answer a basic question for me "who is calling?"  I hope no one ever gives them any money.

They have started calling us recently as well and I have no clue why.  When they hang up, the answering machine picks up their hang up, then the operator says "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and call again..." as if we were the ones who called and didn't do so correctly.  I hate having to pick up the phone in the middle of the answering machine just to stop the operator from talking into the answering machine.  

Annoying people.  Please leave a message if it's that important for us to talk to you.

I get this call at least once a day. I have caller ID and I don't answer things that I don't recognize. They never leave a message.

My husband answered phone shortly after 7pm last night.  A man asked for "the lady of the house."  Husband figured it was a solicitor and said there was no lady of the house, then hung up on the caller.

I am on the do not call list and yet I get a call from this LA FOP FOUND.

This number is used for fundraising for the Los Angeles County Fraternal order of Police. We are raising money to help our officers. If you have any questions, please call the number on your call id and you will be directed to our customer service department.

they called tonight, for the first time I think, and I answered not knowing what it was. The caller asked for me by name and when I responded that it was me he hung up. Huh? I was nervous with all the info that is available online so I checked with my fiance who is a cop. He said it's a legit organization. I would have listened to whatever he had to say but they can't raise money by hanging up when they get an active listener. oh well.

These people don't represent the police, fireman or any law enforcement organization. They are set up as a non-profit fundraising unit. What they do is solicit donation on behalf of the police, firemen, etc and after deducting their all expenses such as commission and high executive salaries, what little is left they will "donate". Years ago, I was kind enough to make a donation, they sent a  UPS guy over to pick up a check. The next week the same guy calling telling me they are going to sent the UPS guy over to pick a check. I said what check? Well  short story is went I refused to give another check, they wrote an electronic check on my behalf without my knowledge and when I found out, the bank said it was too late. Guess I was naive and gullible.

The point is if you want to make a donation, contact the law enforcement agencies. DO NOT DONATE to these people, they are scam artist in my opinion.

They're calling to do fundraising for the LA county Fraternal Order of Police. I have called the number back. It directed you to a customer service department that can answer questions, help you donate, or anything else related to the FOP.

It seems like the FOP is doing a lot of really great things for police officers and their families. These people that are calling are trying to help them raise money so they can keep up their good work.

They call several times a day. I do not answer any numbers that I do not know. Most of the people in this blog seem to feel the same. So, Rick of 22 Jul, if you want to give away money, let me know, I can really use it!
