I'm receving that same text message (exact verbiage) from this company. Resource One CU has an alert meesage on their website, letting everyone know that they don't send emails or text messages requesting personal info.
It says to call 214-432-2852 to reactivate my card. I don't even have an account with Resource One.

I got the same two text messages today. EXACT verbiage! I called sprint customer service - they said DO NOT RESPOND TO THOSE TEXT MESSAGES! This is a third party trying to charge your acct - delete the message and you shouldn't receive a charge. Call sprint to let them know that you have received this message so they can notate your acct, that way if you do get a charge on your next bill all you have to do is call in and say "I called you when I got the message!". According to the rep, Sprint received word today that this is a scam and you need to call sprint and have them block the texts from those locations. The company doing this knows that you can only report to the FCC for call spaming, but not texting spam at this time. UGH! Time to move on up with the technology FCC!

Received a text msg on my Sprint cell phone from dkrfoy@rcu.org stating ResourceOne.CU has deactivated my debit card and to call 323-212-3151. I rang my bank and they acknowledged no issues and my card was still active. I will be filing reports in the links as suggested.

I just notified them that texts are going out with the credit unions name on it.They say to delete the text's and do not reply or call the number B/C IT IS A SCAM. I just hope no other credit union members go the text and called that 323 number!

Just received my third text message in less than one day, claiming that my debit card was deactivated by Resource One Credit Union. This is a scam - please file reports with the Federal Communications Commission and Federal Trade Commission at the links below, if you'd like. Apparently someone is targeting Sprint wireless customers, so you may want to call their Customer Service, as well. Resource One is a legitimate credit union in Texas, but the scammers are probably using their name to sound legit.
This text says:
ibpfry@r1cu.org
ResourceOne C.U. has deactivated your DebitCard. To reactivate call 3232123151.
The ones yesterday gave a false debit card number - 4157-58XX-XXXX.
