Just had the call but never answer calls & after third ring with only number & state location our business line disconnects the call.  Aah, 'Wyndham Rentals' (Timeshares), maybe but most likely NOT!  Any one that owns a timeshare knows if they don't use it they are stuck for resale value; EVEN worse for those that are purchasing through the Wyndham, Sheraton or any other Time Share floating weeks & accurral of points to use 'some' week one must reserve some time frame in advance or pay additional fees due to a point deficient.

Will admit we own time share weeks in FL. bought in the early 1980's, use & enjoy (or rent) with fixed weeks certain every year with out worrying about point values or reserving;they  have to keep our specific units & weeks open for us as WE OWN them.  Unfortunately since Sheraton's took over our resort they constantly hound us or guest to convert; NEVER!  

No one will get the kind of funds indicated above; scammers for sure!  Regarding the post of contract posted by 'M'; seems a typical situation as a 'sample' contract but needed the correct info furnished for the particular Resort, unit & week if signed; NOT  SUGGESTING ANY ONE TO SIGN SUCH UNLESS A BONA FIDE GOOD FAITH DEPOSIT (CASH OR CERTIFIED BANK CHECK, in hand & cleared).  HAVE THEM SHOW THE MONEY FIRST; a COLD CALL TO YOU DEFINITELY DO NOT VOLUNTEER ANY C.C. INFO OR BANKING ACCOUNT INFO!

I don't even own a timeshare, my father in law did but sold his years ago. So I don't know how these pos got my number.

There is no practical way to stop this activity.  Do not call lists, like any law, are only for the law abiding.  Scofflaws ignore them.  I strongly suspect that the vast majority of such calls are simply scams.  I'm not sure exactly what their game is but there must be money to be made out of it or such activities would not occur.  I have read that some hang-ups are probes to see which homes are unoccupied.  Letting such calls go to voice-mail or your answering machine may actually DECREASE your security as it gives the impression that no one is at home at your address.  For me that is not a problem since I keep a semi-automatic pistol (Glock chambered in .40 S&W) loaded with hollow point ammunition beside me at all times.  

But the bottom line is, short of physically travelling to their location (assuming you are able to determine it) and blowing their candy a$$e$ away, there is nothing which can be done.  Even if you report it to law enforcement and give them more than enough data to apprehend the miscreants and convict them, the likelihood of their actually being prosecuted is vanishingly small.  The badguys know this and depend upon it for their predatory lifestyle.  They know that the only people whom laws restrain are people who would not commit the offense in the first place.

Advance Services called from California 323-244-2134. A Charlie (female) Burrden.  Spelt with 2 n's on the phone but on 1 in her GMAIL address. Said she would rent my Time share for 3500 +750 for maint. Then a long convoluted story on how was the best way to go through the exchange to get the rental ,of course that is through them at a cost of $199. I told her I could rent it directly at no cost through my 2ndary exchange group. Then she wanted to know how many weeks we had.     She kept going back to me giving her a CC to include Walmart to charge 199.  I told her it sounded like a scam and then she said no and provided me with her contact number.  I said her contact info would not help me get my money back if it was not legit, so she said she would send the rental agreement I copied below. She then said she would call me back after I looked at the rental agreement.  This gave me time to research and look what I found. Also, on the phone though she said the dates were for Jan and on the contract they show for Nov.  She also had us owning in the wrong resort too. When she called back I politely said I was not interested. She said I could call her back if I changed my mind - not.   Got the exact same contract for the same group as above, just the dates are changed.  Thanks  to everyone for writing in.  I didn't fall for it.

I've gotten many calls from this number, with some of the same messages as others have mentioned.  I usually don't answer, but today I decided to answer and tell them not to call me anymore.  The woman said, "so far you are the only person in this conference.' then nothing.  I called back immediately to tell them never to call again and I got a message saying that this number was no longer in service.

Received a call at 11:45 PM from 323-244-2134. The message was hold on to be transferred to an operator.

Called asking if we wanted to sell our timeshare.  We do not have a timeshare. Asked where she got our number, she said from flamingo bay resort. As I tried to get more information, the lady caller hung up on me. Tried to call the caller ID number and got a"not in service" message.

6:18pm Eastern: I've gotten calls like this several times before. "Please stay on the line for a poll-taker. Just a few more questions." which, on my answering machine, repeats several times before it hangs up. This one is from a male voice.

I still think these callers are using very old databases.  Like an above poster, we do not have a timeshare, but the person who had our phone number before us did, and we got a bunch of phone calls for him after we moved in and got this number.  But, we got this number almost exactly TEN YEARS ago!!  That's how bad the lead list they're buying is.

Have got Privacy Directory.  The call still came through. Punched 2 to take my name off their list and it said "please hold for a pole".  Will cancel the Privacy Directory service, sure as h.  L does not work.

STOP CALLING YOU ARE A PEST

Rec'd calls from this number on June 24. June 25, 2 on June 27th.  I did not answer any of the calls.

This number keeps calls my cell phone consequtively....3 or 4 times a day and say nothing.  Someone said it was Advanced Services, but Advanced Services has another number as well 609-279-0110....they just call and hang up, and are harrassing people.

Receiving calls from this number.  I answered one without looking carefully at the number; thought it was someone else.  When I heard to stay on the line for a "survey" I hung up.  But still getting calls.  Above notes indicate it is a time share sham.  I do not know how they got my number (for sure) but I think Bluegreen (time share company) gave them my number.  And shame on them.

Sooooo sick of these f*ckers calling my # 3 or 4 times a day!  They are looking for someone named Valerie and I have told them at least a dozen times that I am not Valerie and to take my number out of their database.  Just now (call #3 today) I demanded a supervisor and they hung up on me.  I am on a very limited income and even more limited cell phone plan and cannot afford all these calls!

I do not own the property they thought I owned. I told them I am on the national do not call list and asked that they do not call me again. They called today.

If you are renting your time share or selling it, ALL of my timeshare management scompanies said the same thing, Do not pay upfront fees/deposits to sell/rent your timeshare. Use a licensed real estae broker who only gets paid afte they sell/rent your timeshare.

These guys called me and I answered the way I always do with toll free numbers or numbers from a different area code.. I say "HELLO" in a very loud and angry manner and repeat it until they hang up. Might as well laugh it off knowing that you antagonized these telemarketers instead of the other way around. Spread the word. LOL!
