Caller ID showed CA, wants to send me $3000 in coupons, Will the FTC and FCC PLEASE get some teeth and stop these robo calls?

Just got this call today. Long-winded message about $3000 in coupon savings. Since I never answer when I don't recognize the number,these barf-bags are out of luck. Is it me or is there a pattern of these idiot calls ramping up on Monday or Friday?

This sounds like someone preying on senior citizens.  Tries to get you to accept $3000 in "free" coupons and a "free" medic alert device.  "CA" on caller ID.  Recorded message and instructions to "press 1 for further details".  Sounds like a scam to me!

The DNC only protects from the honest business,s.  And its for telemarketers, charity's, Political and some survey's are exempt.  Most of the honest ones will remove you and put you on a internal DNC when asked. Otherwise, you need to contact the Political Parties directly and tell them DNC and they will remove you, and you can sign up for the political DNC (this works pretty well really)  http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php  Then when one does call, you simply go directly to their web site (most have them) and email them a DNC letter, I included the url for the political DNC for the one I have had over the last 12 years or so and told him to use it! :)

So that only leaves the illegal Telemarketers, scammers, extortion scammers, fake Windows support scam and frauds.. and those people do not obey laws period!  Some of those are in foreign country's and thats a whole new puddle of red tape, but it does happen that they get caught.. And the scammers caught in the US get the go to jail card and heavy fines on the illegal telemarketers.

Fed Up- Surprised that you think the Do Not Call List does anything at all...even during the "Government Shut Down". The DNC List doesn't do ANYTHING when the folks are there working!  I think they are actually run by the Telemarketer Unions and are there just to collect telephone numbers to try to sell their $#@*.

"ca" on the caller ID as well.  Google the number.  It's another rip off  from callerID4u.com.  They own many numbers, and they make money just by reaching a phone that has caller ID.
I don't know how to stop this,  but it MUST BE STOPPED!

Off the charts with annoying recorded messages every day of the week, multiple times per day/night.  Trying to sell a health alert type system and offering $2000 in grocery vouchers.  Past two weeks have been horrible.  Probably because of the government and Do Not Call registry shut down.  Finally got to report them tonight.  I am fed up with these people.  When I pressed one to talk to a person and demand I be taken off the list, that I was on the Do Not Call Registry, he hung up.  These unwanted calls have been the most excessive I've ever seen that are coming from this number.  Please report them if you are getting the same.
