I wonder if all these scam calls are clogging up the NSA's phone call snooping data repository and adding stress to the software they use to cherry pick morsels of nefarious behavior from the recorded content? Maybe the answer lies somewhere in exploiting the NSA's snooping habits.  Just answer these calls, get a live person and tell them point blank that you are not interested now or ever in joining a terrorist organization, you have no interest in blowing up buildings and to please stop calling. If the NSA is listening they just might go after these callers.

This scam was just on the news the other day.  HANG UP and don't ask to be removed from their list; all that does is tell them they have a working number, which they will then sell to other scammers.

What I do is pick up the phone just long enough to connect the call, then hang up without a word.  They don't get an answering machine; they don't get to post their spiel, and they get charged for the call.  It works; sooner or later I drop off most lists (only to be added to new ones, alas).

Our government will never do anything about this, they make too much money from it.  Corporate America has no ethics and has no customer service - greed is the only thing that drives corporate business - look at the reports on Bank of America - it has paid billions in fines for its actions before and after the financial meltdown on 2009, but the latest report I read less than a week ago says it has not changed its policies one iota - it just spends more time appealing to the upper crust customer - the Middle Class is just a bunch of dummies to be separated from their money any way possible. Go to the Consumers Union website and see how you can fight back - they are doing some good.

Caller ID "Cell Phone CA" ...  I do not answer callers I do not know. They did not leave a message. Prior 800notes indicate this is a SCAMMER!

I waited several minutes on the line for one of the foreign speaking idiots to pick up the phone as I was well aware of the scam against the elderly.   I told the Idian speaking representative that I was a regional manager for MEDALERT and that we NEVER advertise this way by calling people.  If anyone calls us it's the party needing the bracelet or a family member which is then followed up by a representative going to the home of the client to give a demonstration.   What did he do "HANG UP" !!!!!   He never gave me the chance to let him know the scam he was trying to pull was advertised on the nightly news 3 months ago and every elderly party knew of the scam.....bummer.

I did not recognize this number. I answered the phone "FBI, this is not a secure line". Quit most calls from robo. Perhaps this is the Obama program misquided.

Yup same here, $3,000 in groceries and a medical alert bracelet.  As a teledata expert I can tell you not to push 1 or 2, just hang up.  They called me twice today and are trying to get to my elderly parents.  I will they could lock up ALL telemarketers not just this bogas clown.

These crooks are so blatant, answered the phone and it was a recording...if it was a person I would like to have had a whistle and blown it....right in their ear. I am so damn mad that we get these calls all the time.now I don't answer any numbers that I don't recognize I have told friends and family this...

A different number but the same information.  I wonder how many numbers these people call from.  They want to send me $3,000.00 worth of grocery certificates and a medical alert bracelet and necklace.  I can't get through to these people.  If I want either one, I would go to a reputable dealer for the bracelet.  Not go to them and give out personal information.  The numbers that have called are 323-281-1438 ca and 805-580-7353 Alert.  How do we stop this harassment and intrusion into our privacy?

Beware also of 360-633-9336 (Phone# lookup said from: Silverdale, Washington). This robocall recording said same thing: "...qualify to receive $3000 in free groceries...saving certificates, & a free medical alert bracelet." Then asked me to "Press 1 to talk to representative".

This is 2nd time this month we have received this call. Both times we have NOT pressed "1", but I think next time I will just to see where this presumed [senior citizen] scam will go. Human will probably ask me to "please verify by giving us your Date of Birth, and last 4 digits of Social Security Number."

OF COURSE, I Won't!!!" But, I bet they do, and don't anybody else give out even this info.

Identity thieves can even use this info to *steal* your ID.

OK people- you all have caller ID by now, so... DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE for these numbers.   If you don't recognize the number WHY would you pick up the phone ???    If NO ONE will answer the phone then they will have to quit calling people, right ?!    When you answer one of these calls all you are doing is to confirm they have reached a working number.   Then they KEEP CALLING you AND sell your number to other scammers.  Get the picture ?  

The phone number came with the initials CA above it.  I don't recall getting this number before.  It is common to get a number with a state name above it.  I don't answer any of them.

My husband and I live on disability (he's had a brain tumor for over 4 years) and I have to be very careful about every penny I spend.  The more questions I asked, the fewer answers I got.  I told them it sounded like something my husband and I could use, but I REFUSED to give them my social security number, banking numbers, or any other personal information.  I asked if they could call back after I had checked out their number and found if they were legitimate or not.  The solicitor then didn't even put me on hold, but argued with her "supervisor" where I could hear them...He came on and I told him he could quit reading his script and just answer my question as to why they could not call me back.  He said I had insulted him and immediately hung up on me.  Then I went on line - cell phone number with no business name associated with it in California.  I sure do wish I could let people NOT TO DO THIS.  From all the voices I heard in the background, it must be a big operation.  Officers, go and get these stinkers!!!!!

ATT cares not for the victim.  ATT cares only for the money.  When I had ATT service, they allowed phony 3rd party billing that doubled price of phone service.  Then they disconnect you if you do not pay.  They would not stop 3rd party billing.  They get a percentage of the 3rd party billing and they are all thieves.  ATT will not stop robocalls or fraudsters or any type of telephone service because that is how they get their money.  They sell line rental time to all phone companies.  Fraud comprises a lot of that billed time.  ATT cares not for the victim.

Has called our office twice in the past 90 minutes. Sounds like they are trying to scam senior citizens. Won't take you off the list. Same pre-recorded message as the calls from from 360-633-9336, which has also called twice in the past half hour.
