Received a call on my cell (which I seldom give out this number) asking for a reference check on family member.  I asked if it was for a job interview.  They said no so I refused to answer any questions. They threatened to arrest me and hung up.  Accent made it difficult to understand the male caller.

This number is from LA California. I got a call from them and done a reverse id through 411. If you get a call from this number report it to the police they have ways of tracking it......I called them out on being a scam and they said "we did not know you knew we were scammers we will not be contacting you anymore" in exact words.  So give no information to them.

I received a phone call from  some guy stating that he is pressing charges on me.. for a cash advance that I never got, I contacted my shortly after I got off the phone with this guy. My bank told me to tranfer my account to a new account..... is there anything i can do about this issue?

Same as above.  However, when I called the number back they answered hello.  I then advised that I am taking legal action on them regarding the threating calls they I am getting from this number. Of course the idiot's reply was sue me sue me.  I hung up.  But it is indeed a scam. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFOMRATION ABOUT YOURSELF.

Say that FBI will arrest us because of a cyber crime, curses us, then I recieve messages saying that if I or my lawyer does not call them back I will be arrested.  They are calling mine and my husbands work. I am not sure who to contact about this.

this happened 2 me today. they called me and told me i took out a payday loan and never paid it back they want to go far as having me arrested over bogus claim. what can be done about this please help me. they want to my law enforcement agency and seek bogus charges

Lthese guys called me and did the same thing. Said I owed 594and next time called and said 696. Heavy heavy Indian accents. I asked to be transfered to someone I can understand and they pressed 3 buttons to act like they transfered but I heard a bunch of Indian people talkin in backround. Also heard laughing and joking in backround at times. Looked up number and everything is unknown except city amd state. No buisness namm no person name. Obvious scam I tried to get info from them and see how to fix it and they said pay by debit card. Personal check or directly from bank. So I laughed and hung up and never called back. One of my family members actually put a police report in for me ...and have u ever heard people with these accents with normal American names. Lol

I received a call from this number on my cell phone, I hung up and he called back and I let it go to voicemail.  He stated his name was Eric Johnson, but he has a very strong accident.  What kinda fool do he think I am.  It smells like a scam to me.

I received a call today from this supposed Perry Black with Henderson Law Firm stating that I have an unpaid payday loan and I have until tomorrow to pay $761 or else he is gonna have me arrested on Thursday. I started to ask him questions about this supposed loan and he got very defensive and said thats all the info he could give me and hung up. I told my boyfriend about it and he called Perry back and Perry said he cant discuss this with him and now since I had my boyfriend call hes not gonna accept my payment and will send the cops to my work on Thursday. Luckily my boyfriend found this website and all realized its a freaking scam. So thankful to see all your other posts about this because I was freaking out. This guy is an a**!

I keep getting calls from this number saying I better call them back, that I have a lawsuit against me for a payday loan. Never had one. Now they've started calling my work. Caller says his name is Perry Black

I keep getting calls from Perry Black from 212-933-9821. I tell him SLOW down with your accent we Americans can not understand you. This is a complete scam.  He says I have a payday loan I didn't pay.   I asked him repeatedly who is the creditor and same story, represents a bunch, doesn't know.  But he said option 1 to pay in full or option 2 Superior Court of NY.   I told him prove who the creditor is and we will review together.   He hangs up and calls my work right back.  It is scary that these scum bags have info.

I just had the same message left on my voicemail at work.  They have been calling both my husband's and my cell phones for over 3 months now.  His name was "John Butler"  Then he called back not less than 10 minutes later, I was on the phone and he left another voice mail again stating he was John Butler and that he had a case pending against me and that I needed to call 323-284-2250 right away or I would be picked up at my work and that me or my attorney would need to call them back if we wanted to avoid my being picked up or served at work.  The number they leave on my phone is always a local number but can never be recalled or dials into their own network.  They change their numbers all the time.  I have contacted an attorney and have filed all the complaints that I can and know to file.  They just keep calling and harrassing as much as possible.

I received the same calls....from two different numbers,  same person.  Yesterday I received 15 calls and today so far I have received 9 calls.  Not sure what to do about it right now but just keep ignoring it

I received the same phone call today. They had a very strong accent and the man was extremely rude. Except I was able to contact the phone number back.

Received 8 calls in a row from this number at work within 10 minutes of each other, finally they left a message saying this was a John Butler (but person had strong foreign accent) and the message contained the same as other previously stated.

I also receiced a call from this number to my work location.  I was told the same thing about being sued with criminal charges from Cash America USA for an unpaid payday loan which I never took out.  The persons name that they gave me was John Mclain.  They also told me that I would receive a court summons at my work location.

This person name "Perry Black" keeps calling my phone stating that they need my attorney's information; something in regards to a criminal lawsuit.  When I clearly told him to stop calling my phone he cursed me out and told me that he will have my a$$ behind bars.

This guy with a very heavy Indian accent, who claims to be "John McClain", said the exact same thing as the previous post. The do***ebag even had the balls to call me a "criminal", not knowing who I am, who I work for, or what I do for a living. This is a total scam. don't believe it when the call you.

They left a message saying "my legal counsil needs to call them back as soon as the message is received becasue it's very time senitivte. If I choose to disregard the message all I can say is good luck." I received a message like this about a year ago and disregarded it.  This time I received 2 calls from 2 different numbers to I called.  Claimed they are legal counsil and I owe a payday loan which was never paid but they wouldn't give me the name of the company only that they reporesent hundreds of lenders.  I asked how can fix the situation if they don't have any info to give me.  They yelled at me, called me an a-hole becuse I kept asking questions, stated they aren't a bill collector.  I then asked what's the purpose of the call then.  They said to inform me they were seeking legal suite and I was going to be arrest in 30 mins at work and hund up on me.  They called me back 20minutes later, i did not pick up and they did not leave a message.  Went online did some research and found this was a total scam. One of the numbers they called me from a week ago isn't active anymore.

got a call from this number and they said they had criminal charges against me and knew the last four of my social but said my job was being monitored. When i called the number back it said my phone couldn't make these calls so I'm assuming its fraud and out of the country. They said my job was being monitored it can also be the people who make calls to your cell and just try to keep you on hold and end up charging your phone bill with a lot of money.
