Just received call from this 3233196270 ext 2884, demanding that I call him back. Called on my work line which I never give out and was very rude on the message. I almost had heart attack listening to the message. I Immediately texted my lawyer who advised me not to return the call. Did a simple google search about DEA calls and founds tons of sites reporting this scam. Typed the number into google and found this site. Thank goodness for my lawyer and Google!!!!!!

YES!!! ALL the same s*** was said to me. DEA, gonna arrest me, i can "settle" the charges, etc. by wiring them money for legal fees, etc.
i have had a woman call me, can't recall her name, but she was RUDE & screamed at me. the first time i heard from her/them, i WAS scared, the common sense set in. for one, you are NOT called by phone to be told that you will be arrested OR send money to fix a legal problem. c'mon! now this thomas herrigan (or whatever it is) guy has been calling me for ages & i know it's a scam, but still you wonder wth? HOW do they get your info & all of that. i did just call back & get their phony voice mail, saying they are the DEA, BUT i knew that the extension number he gave me would be set up on their phone system, which it's not, it's just one basic voice mail, so that's another tip off.
i SO agree that the govt, local & federal SHOULD be doing something about all these scammer a***ole con men, rip-off artists, professional liars. i too have read & heard of MANY people losing their $ to such things and that is a travesty & that IS illegal & yet no, the govt spends money on stupid a** things (as so eloquently described above in one post about the squirrels, etc.:P) & they are CONSTANTLY trying to stop people from getting LEGAL medication etc. while there are scammers out there trying to scare the s*** out of people to ROB THEM!! hey authorities, why not do something about that? instead of wasting your time and OUR money on people who have LEGITIMATE problems? it's ridiculous!

Had one message on my WORK phone from Tues Aug.13 @ 10:47am from someone claiming to be DEA Agent Leut.Thompson Harrington. Do not know who (or) why I would have received a call from any DEA agent! I'm about as squeaky clean as they come.

I received a call from a Thomas Harrigan, stating he was an officer from DEA, badge # 8493411. He said if I paid $5,500 that they would drop criminal charges against me for buying illegal drugs in 2007 using my credit card. At first I was stunned, but then I started to realize this was probably a scam. I told him so, and then he said "I'll see you in court" and hung up on me.

Received call from 323-319-6270 DEA Agent Greg Martinez. DO NOT send money to these people. This is a nationwide scam.
BronoDude 2013-08-12 18:33:02 Unknown
Ive been getting these same calls from this number and several other numbers. For starters, Ive never bought prescriptions online. Dont know how they got my name and number! They sent me to a website with a court docket # and directed me to verify it there. So I did. They actually set up a fake website....they must be scamming people or else they wouldnt be doing this. They have a voicemail set up when you call back that says its the office of the DEA. After some research, I believe they are from south america somewhere. I was told that I could avoid a hearing if I paid some kind of fine. I am in law enforcement and knew that no federal organization works in such a manner where you can pay an online fine (by wire ofcourse) and the charges would be dismissed. For some young adult, I can see how they would take the bait and actually send them thousands of dollars. Its sad that people have to stoop to this level and scam others. They are filthy hounds and in my opinion, DO NOT DESERVE to live here in the U.S. They all have strong accents. Ive spoken to 3 different 'agents' and they all sound the same. Thonas Herrigan and Doug Stoll or Stone were two names they claimed. I was threatened when I began questioning them and their validity. THEY are going to be the ones thrown in prison if our damn government would actually put some tax dollar funds into chasing them all down, instead of our federal gov spending money on flying squirrels or research like how a mouse reacts when given crystal meth....I mean geeez, cut the wasteful spending and put it towards all these SCAMMERS out there. Im getting off course and into politics...i apologize. Anyway, I am tired of these scams out there. I bet every one of us knows atleast 1 other person who has taken the bait, been scammed and wired money to these crooks. I know 3 different people that have been scammed and lost thousands. Not necessarily with this DEA type scam, but others. Our economy may be bad right now, but that does not mean that you prey on the naive and scam them out of thousands. These people, INCLUDING THESE DEA SCAMMERS need to be tracked down, shut down, taken to court, stripped of all their money and assets that they have stolen and thrown in jail for a long time OR deported back to dominican republic or whereever they came from. Period.
MegaMan 2013-08-12 18:19:34 Unknown
YES, these are a bunch of dominican republic losers running a sohisticated SCAM. They must be successful at times in order to keep running this thing. Too bad for those who dont do their homework or are naive.
THese people are SCUM and need to be hunted down, and thrown out of this country. I say deport them ALL back to where they came from. THey even have a DEA voicemail set up so when you call them back, thats what you hear.
I was told there were agents 15 minutes from my house and on their way if I didnt pay the $4,000 fine to 'make it go away'. I went along with it on the phone with them for a while to see what all they say and claim. Its scary how much info they get on people. And the real FEDs say they dont have the time to deal with these scammers. I told Thomas, who called me that it was a federal felony offense to impersonate a federal agent of any kind and punishable with prison because that is the truth. THey are breaking numerous laws by doing what they are doing. I feel bad for the poor soul who actually wires them the $4,000 thinking they were settling their "charges".
Id like to get my hands on their south american necks and ring them!
MattyBtown 2013-08-12 18:00:34 Unknown
Absolutely, I agree. THese people are SCUM. This same guy Thomas Herrigan has called me and my wife's phone number. I have never bought prescriptions online. However, they are sophisticated, I will give them that. They have a fake website up they tell you to go to and put in the court docket number and you see your name and info. VERY SCARY the information they get their hands on.
I told "Thomas"...it is a federal felony to impersonate a federal DEA agent and that I had his fake name and telephone number used and I was turning him in. Ofcourse he got mad saying "excuse me, excuse me...blah blah blah. He said there are agents 15 minutes away from my house ready to arrest me. I said bring it on. If they show up, I had a loaded double barrell that I would anwser my door with.
These are dominican republic people with the same accents working out of Bronx, NY, I believe. I really wish the real FEDS would do something about this. They should be able to track down who owns the phone account of the numbers they call from.

I just had a weird feeling after he was so rude and hung up on me when I said who he was asking for wasnt here. So I googled the number and sure enough.. scam. He also had a very thick accent and said he was from the DEA
David 2013-08-01 20:39:58 Unknown
Another scam call from 323 319 6270. Wants money to drop arrest warrant for buying medication from internet. Always says from the DEA.
Amused Again 2013-07-31 21:59:41 Unknown
They called again and after looking into this whole DEA Martinez deal I found that its a scam trying to tell you that you have warrants and they will arrest you if you dont money gram them 5,000.00. Thomas Herriken was the next DEA name they gave. Once googled I found he's an ATF agent not DEA. They should do research. When I told this lovely young man he was a joke and this was a horrible attempt at a scam he then got irrate with me and told me I make it hard for "the black man" and I'm the reason "we rob people". He ended it with calling me "Ratchet". HAH. My coworkers and I got quite a laugh.

This person just called saying he was Special Agent Greg Martinez *Badge Number 349361* asking to speak to someone at this number. When I stated I was going to verify his badge number he hung up in my face. Really strong accent. Needless to say, he is full of crap and I never got what he was trying to call for...
